This restaurant is a sit in dining experience. Yet they also provide food to go via food apps and catering. It is child friendly and offers booster seats. It is also disability easy to maneuver if you are in a wheelchair. The interior is small on the inside and nicely decorated with a large ode to chicken. This is not a problem for those who need to bring in a wheelchair, rollater, walker, or stroller as they are impeccablely supportive, as well as very accommodating. On busy days that we have decided to dine in at this establishment, it has never been a problem to manipulate my varied tools throughout the restaurant. Parking sometimes can be a little tight but don't let that worry you because people are always coming and going. Moreover, the eggs were not over cooked and the yolks we nicely whipped. Entry: I order the chicken and waffles while my husband ordered the chicken fried steak. Both were delicious. The chicken was moist and not dry whist the waffle was fluffy with little crispy edges. It was a textural wonderland. I personally do not like syrup or other toppings on my waffles (weird I know) however my husband does and he said the syrup was good. Consequently, when I eat waffles, texture and flavor really matter to me. It was slightly sweet and paired nicely with the seasoned chicken. Additionally, the chicken fried steak melted on our tongues like butter. The meat was not over cooked, tender and the steak cut smoothly on our knives. The umami flavor of the steak and the robust yet well rounded seasoning of the breading paired nicely with the buttery mashed potatoes and the white gravy that accompanied the meal. We have enjoyed eating at this restaurant many times. I have never had overcooked or undercooked chicken. Each time, I am greeted with a kind smile and service is quick especially on busy times. Sunday we went to Streets Fine Chicken. It was a large party of 14 they had to separate us. Okay cool! We were still close to each other. Let me start out with our server deserves a 5. I swear he had our big table and an entire full section. Chicken Fried Bacon I give it a 3. I loved the taste but I like my bacon cooked all the way. Chicken Fried Chicken was moist and really good. I will give that a 4. The Black Eyed Peas Peas wore horrible. Black Eyed Peas needs to be slow cooked and butter needs to be added to the pot to make them creamy. Yeah I rate them a zero. Absolutely the best Southern comfort food in town! I stopped into Streets Chicken on a whim and left completely blown away. This place gets Southern classics right in every single way. The fried chicken was crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned -- hands down some of the best I've had. The deviled eggs were creamy, tangy, and had just the right touch of spice, making them dangerously addictive. Their collard greens were tender and smoky with that perfect Southern flavor, while the black-eyed peas were hearty and seasoned just right. I've ordered delivery from Streets Fine Chicken several times and always enjoyed the food, so I decided to try dining in. The interior, however, feels dated--aging artwork and worn tables and chairs. Everything is functional, just a bit tired. They do have a full bar, which is a nice surprise for a chicken-focused restaurant. Service was slow. It took about ten minutes before anyone noticed me, and several more to get a drink. After the meal, I waited again to get the check and pay. I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and a side salad, everything was very tasty, just as it has been when delivered. We had high hopes for this casual sit down chicken spot when we visited but unfortunately it didn't quite hit the mark... My fiance and I were in the area and decided to stop by for lunch on a weekday, so there was no wait and plenty of open tables inside. We got the deviled eggs to start and then shared the 2 chicken tenders with mac & cheese and the sin killer peri peri chicken thighs with collard greens. The deviled eggs were solid and I liked the crunch of the fresh jalapeno paired with the creamy filling. Moving onto the chicken, the tenders weren't seasoned much at all and could have definitely used more salt, but the sin killer peri peri chicken was seasoned very well. We were told we couldn't be seated without the full party and we had a very hungry toddler. We opted to have the other people not come so that we could sit immediately. I'd like to note that it wasn't super busy and there were PLENTY of open tables waiting to be filled. After being seated, the host forgot to tell a server that they had a table so we were waiting 15 minutes before somebody even came over to us to offer us water. By this point our friends would have arrived already if we didn't tell them not to come. I had asked to have a small taste of one of the beer that was on tap to see if I liked it and if it was fresh before I ordered it. However, the server put it is as a full beer instead. This is when I realized she wasn't really listening to us. I didn't like it but my husband did so we kept it. My husband and I ordered the chicken which we knew would take 25 minutes and we ordered the chicken tenders for our toddler. We asked for our toddlers food to come out first as it was her lunch time. However, that request was not honored and I had to remind the server that was the request. This is after I made sure to repeat this request multiple times and she acknowledged that she heard me and would have it come out first. I had high hopes for this place but the service was subpar and the attention to detail from our server was lacking. She was nice but so are a lot of people. Moving on to the food, the food is what saves the experience. I opted for the Half Bird with whipped mashed potatoes as a side and it came with white gravy on top which I wasn't asked if I wanted as it was not listed on the menu that way. The chicken was good and came out piping hot. The potatoes were decent and the biscuit was soft and really tasty. My husband did the breast quarter with collard greens as his side. A quick Google search for fried chicken in Dallas will brought Streets to the top of the results. Decided to check it out on a whim for dinner with Mike's as a baseline a few days prior. Service is a bit inattentive even with only a few tables occupied for hours. Towards the end of the meal, it was hard flagging down a server. Ambiance is confusing. It's in the messy-middle of being fast casual and upscale. It's definitely more of a casual vibe. Old red quarry floor tiles, farmhouse themed interior, linen napkins. They claimed their chicken are brined for 24 hours. It just didn't taste like it. We had a double serving of the French Fried leg quarter, a pair of the Sin Killer Peri Peri thighs, chickarrones, fried green tomatoes, sides of Brussels sprouts, and Brie Mac and cheese. The chicken brine must be missing salt because the meat was flavorless for the fried chicken and relied heavily on the batter. In contrast, the peri peri chicken thighs were tough and salty from that burnt sauce. Biscuits that came with the dishes were dryer than Popeyes. Brussels sprouts were greasy and charred too long. The best dishes of the night were the green tomatoes and the chickarrones. I also had an espresso martini, but it was mostly foam. Overall, not a great dinner. I personally loved the order I got here, which was the leg quarter with cheddar grits for my side! I ordered a "that tea" cocktail as well which was really good (asked them to make a bit sweeter) my family was in town for a funeral and wasn't familiar with Dallas food. I had lunch here last Saturday due to its high Yelp rating and being located in the general part of town I was in. Streets has a dedicated parking lot behind the restaurant that has clear signage. Inside it's a table service restaurant with a full bar dining area and a separated main dining room. I came here for the chicken and dumplings and ordered that ($12) and added a side dish of buttered green beans for $4. My waiter said I made a wise choice on the beans. The food arrived about 10 minutes later. The entree was made with buttermilk dumplings and pulled chicken all in a creamy broth. I liked this dish and enjoyed it (4). It was different from other versions of chicken and dumplings in that the broth was more soupy than thick. That's not a negative just an observation. It was a good tasting bowl of comfort food. The buttered green beans were off the chart! Amazingly delicious with just enough firmness and incredible flavor. A slight peppery slant in the broth and some bacon pieces made these green beans perhaps the best I have ever had. My waiter was right on my choice. Get the buttered green beans with your entree (5).
