Gone to the Bad Daddy's in Northglenn and decided to give the Arvada location a try since it was closer to us. I get that the Arvada location just opened, but you can tell they will need a little time to get up to the levels of the other locations. Meal was okay! And the options for the burgers are pretty much endless. Great spot to go to if you're really craving a burger and want to personalize it as much as possible. Our server Aaron was AWESOME though. He was incredibly kind and really attentive to our table while also covering his other tables. When we were walking out we saw him interacting with this family's little baby and it was very sweet. This was our favorite spot pre-COVID. Even during COVID we frequented the establishment with our usual party of 6. Twice we brought family bringing the total party to 8. Yelp itself asks you to take COVID into consideration before making a review, because many restaurants are doing their best during these difficult times. However, Bad Daddy's isn't one of them. The current regulations in our area states that a party of 10 from two separate households is ok and approved. Twice now Bad Daddy's has told us that our party of six (my wife, our four kids, and myself) would have to be separated in addition to waiting 45 minutes. Both times there have been numerous booths open, ones they say now don't seat six (even though we have set at them with the same family size since we moved here a year ago). All of their workers have been rude as of late, and I can't relate it to anything other than the size of our party. We are not going (now does the law suggest) we separate our immediate family for a meal. We will not be back. read more

Came in for maybe the 4th or 5th time tonight, we used to live by the Bad Daddy's in Southwest Plaza Mall and only went maybe once. Now that we've moved to Westminster we love coming to this location! The burgers are always so fresh and the hostess can always get us seated quickly even on a busy day. Today we went in and our server was only her second day, she did great! I wish I would have got her name because she was awesome and better than most servers I've had in the past! She was very fast and friendly. She offered us dessert and promptly brought us the check. Will definitely be back again soon! read more

Ugh...I was SO excited for them to open in Arvada but I just don't think I'll be back after tonight. It's their first week open, so we expected them to be busy. We walked in and we're told 10 min wait for a table (not bad at all!) but saw two open seats at the end of the bar and took those. We were greeted by at least 4 bartenders who all asked "what's up?!" and "how are you guys doing tonight?!" very excitedly, then left. None offered a drink menu or anything other than that. Then one finally comes to grab our drink order without realizing we have no idea what's offered because we have no menus. After we got them, two different bartenders shot over to ask us for orders before we've even seen the menus. Drinks were on time after that. Food order was the same, waited for menus, asked too often what we wanted before we had a chance to look. Finally we ordered and waited. And waited. And inquired on our food eventually only to see two bartenders talk about how our order was lost and then no one would make eye contact with us for almost 10 minutes. Finally, a nice young bartender came over and said they were checking into it and if the order was lost they'd take care of us. That was satisfactory for sure but then we continued to wait. And wait. And at least three different bartenders told us they were checking on our order, then went back to work cleaning glassware or chatting with other hungry patrons waiting for food. The nice bartender from before came by and offered us chips that never came. The manager finally delivered our food, incorrectly, and barely apologized. Whatever, my roommate and I switched sides since that was all that was messed up. He offered to comp our first round of drinks only. Then quickly offered to comp all of our drinks. The food was not good enough to take that deal. I understand that they have a "bigger is better" sort of concept, but I had way too many onion straws on my burger and my roommates "buttermilk fried bacon" premium topping was one slice of bacon fried in a buttermilk batter almost an inch and a half thick. Two other customers asked confusingly what burger came with chicken strips, because that's what it looked like. Once we removed the toppings that were way overdone, the rest of it tasted ok, it was just all a bit too much for a $15 burger that arrived over 30 minutes late. When I asked about being taken care of like the nice bartender said they would, the manager said they didn't expect to be so busy (it's your first week open in an area that's been waiting for you to open for months), and I would buy that excuse if every table in the place were filled and people were waiting longer than 5-10 mins for a table. The poor woman seated next to me at the bar waited almost an hour (on what I learned was her dinner break from work) for a simple call ahead order of tater tots and green chile. Again, a lot of bartenders came by and apologized, but no one really checked up on her order. She got it almost at the end of her break, and by then we were all pretty much done. The manager came by with free burger coupons for next time and still expected to slip me a bill, which I asked if I would receive after the horrible service and sloppy food, then he finally comped us after some debate. There were several other very unhappy faces at the bar, so it seemed to be a pretty bad night that could've been avoided. No one seemed super experienced. The poor lady who waited for an appetizer to go order still paid for hers and was given coupons for free appetizer with purchase. We all pretty much agreed we wouldn't be back to use those coupons. We left ours at the bar. There was a lot of possibility to overlook some of the service issues since they were so new, but nothing was handled the right way, they barely took accountability and the food wasn't close to worth it. read more

I've been waiting for this place to open since I saw the signs go up a few weeks ago. Seeing how popular the other locations are I was excited to get one of these places here in Arvada. They were expectedly busy for it being the second day open but there was no wait and we were seated immediately. They have a nice big covered patio that looks perfect for hanging out and having a few drinks. Great selection of tap beers with a good representation of local craft selections as well as the more standard varieties. They have my favorite beer on tap (Telluride's Face Down Brown) which was a great start. Also several drinks on their cocktail menu looked like some things I will have to try on return visits. It's a burger bar so lots of burger offerings. I chose the bacon cheeseburger on steroids because...bacon. This thing comes with 6 SLICES OF BACON! I almost thought, perhaps are they toying with insanity, is that too much bacon...is it possible to have too much bacon!? This, fortunately, was just about perfect. Good bacon flavor without overpowering the main attraction. To me seasoning makes the difference between a tasty burger and a bland disappointment. Once again, perfectly seasoned. Now I will warn you, this guy was very big and a little messy. Wasn't a problem for me but it did take some planning and precise bite placement! I upgraded to the truffle fries because why not. I ordered from here for the first time via door dash, the food was excellent! But for more money I decided to order onion rings as a side with my burger. When I received my food, everything looks like it was thrown on as fast as possible, brioche bun was burnt black ( I wasn't to picky about this), and I only got 4 onion rings!! Three small and one big, I can't believe I paid more money for that instead of ordering fries! The food was cold and soggy but that's nothing the oven couldn't fix, otherwise it tasted great. Bad daddy's never disappoints! Decided to check out the new location in Arvada and it was great. Located in a little strip mall right off Wadsworth bypass. We got the Thai chili wings which were a little on the sweeter side with a kick of ginger flavor. The mushroom burger was delicious. They topped it with about 4 different types of mushroom and the cheese was perfectly melted. I like that you can build your own burger and they have options such as a lettuce wrap for a bun or gluten free. They have a variety of different condiments and toppings... jalapeño bacon, fried mozzarella, truffle aioli, peanut butter? Brie, pimento cheese, pineapple- the list goes on and on. You can get very creative building your burg. Truffle Parmesan fries a lil salty but sweet potato fries were perfect and crunchy on the outside. My family and I always visit here when we are in town. Sadly this visit wasn't that great. The food was good but the service we received today from Theresa was HORRIBLE! From the moment we sat down. It took awhile to even greet us and when she did she just tossed out coasters down as she walked by, and said, "I'll be back." No hello nothing. Maybe 5-8 minutes later she asked what we wanted to drink. Still no hello, not friendly, we felt as if we were a bother. She takes our order pretty much as she's trying to walk away. We had to ask for a refill, and even that took awhile. She just seemed as if she didn't want to be there and we noticed big time we felt uncomfortable and just felt rushed. But she sure had a few minutes to sit at the booth next to us to chat with some guest and just ignored us as our drinks were empty. I absolutely love messy, delicious burgers and the "Sam I Am" hit the spot, even wrapped in lettuce! They top it with house made pesto and serve with a side of chipotle ranch dressing. When we first checked in, they told us 15 to 20 minutes to be seated. While we waited, 3 hostess/ waitresses stood at the podium, leaning and talking not really doing much. The girl with the messy hair and head band kept drinking her water. I'm sure leaning up against the podium works up a sweat. Then the girl with the short black hair was at least cleaning off the booths, then came back to the hostess station and said people need to move. Referring to customers that were talking. Where exactly, did she want them to go? There is not really any room for a waiting area and it was raining outside. Also, she was the one that seated us. No. Interdiction, no smile, walked us over to the table, set the menus down and walked off. The Third, girl, blond , glasses had pants on so tight she kept trying to pull them up as we were sitting there. That was awkward. Several, people were seated before we were. The food was great and our waitress was awesome. Didn't get her name. But, I gave her a great tip, because she earned it! These other girls, if that is the standard for getting hired and paid sign me up! Gossip, about customers, their mom's and being able to put my coat on, drink, and lean... awesome. Time to lean, time to clean! I guess here at bad daddy's, not really the motto. I hope the waitress didn't have to spilt her earnings. I ONLY have 3 stars. Because of our waitress and food. But we will be rethinking, the next visit, the hostess station, was not good service and had attitude issues. I love the burgers and fries here. The jalapeño bacon is great. Most of the time we get great service but occasionally it's lackluster.

I'm a little bit of a burger either snob or aficionado depending on your view. I'd detract a half a star for a bun that somewhat overshadows an excellent burger but we'll round up here since everything else was quite excellent. The burger I had was simply a bacon burger with the magic Big Daddy's sauce as well as some ketchup. It was quite excellent. The fries are also quite good. I've not tried any apps. I did try a chocolate shake and not only was it fabulous, it also constitutes a meal unto itself. If you're a shake person, order one here. Finally, the staff were utterly excellent in both of my two visits. They're friendly without putting on a ridiculous Disney style falseness. At the same time they are professional and efficient. I don't know if management beats them mercilessly if they don't do well in customer service but I cannot commend it more highly. They are just fantastic. read more
