I reside in Galveston most of the time, but still have a home in Houston along with office mailbox, doctors, etc., so I tend to go into H-town every couple of weeks for various errands. Since there is no HEB on the island I tend to stop at the one at 646 during my migration back to the island. After loading my vehicle with a couple of weeks' worth of groceries I tend to have a late lunch in the area before returning to the island. Usually I'd hit 888, Abuelo's, or MOD pizza. 888 to scratch the Chinese food itch before hitting the island where there is no decent Chinese food. Abuelo's to scratch the upper end Mexican food which is also void on the island. MOD is for when I'm low on time and just want something decent and cheap that I can't, again, get on the Island. I was in the mood for a sit-down take my time to enjoy real pizza. I had seen Bada Bing, and figured I'd give it a try. I had been longing for a real pizza for a long time. After having good pizza, I had been ruined. I can't order pizza just anywhere. I find problems with most places, and typically end up just eating the topping and throwing the rest away. Problems like crap gimmicks, corn meal on the bottom, super soggy middles, too thick or thin, or the crust tastes like cardboard, well these things are things I have been running in too far too often of late. What is Bada Bing going to have in store for me? I arrive around 2:30 or 3 on a Wednesday. I'm promptly greeted by the lovely, and energetic Jade. She seats me, and asks if I knew what I wanted to drink. I order a tea but before she leaves I see Peroni on the beer list, and order that as well as I felt a good Italian beer would the proper pairing for a good pie. Out comes the beer... wow! So pretty. I had to take out my phone out. While it is not unusual that I take what I call gratuitous food porn pics, never before have I taken a gratuitous food porn pic of a simple beer. Jade was walking by, and I made a comment that it looks so good I had to take a pic. From the light shining through the Peroni glass to the proper pour and head, good on you Jade good on you. Well apparently, she agreed as she asked if she could take a pic of it. I told her she could, but she needed to do so from my angle for proper lighting, so I moved so she could. This was a first for me, but cool none the less. As I am waiting for my pizza I am messing with my ipad, but I'm taking in interactions of those in the room. The workers actually... working, interacting with the customers, not playing grab ass with each other, or face down texting. OMG, there IS hope for our future. At this point I'm cracking up at myself as to how amused I was at myself, and the perpetual giggle factory that was the two girls two tables away. I preemptively ordered another beer to arrive when my pizza arrives because I knew I would have to have to take another gratuitous food porn pic, and a lone beer needs a partner. So the pizza arrived. Looks good. Looks proper! Crust looks to be on point. The toppings look like the right evenly distributed amount. Man, I really want to dig in, but I can't mess it up before a quick gratuitous food porn session. I had ordered a large so I can eat on it for a few days, but it probably would have made better food porn if it was smaller and sat directly on the table. In my haste I missed one of the most important shots, a top view. Oh well, next time. Finally, the moment of truth. I pick up the slice, firm but just the right hang. I was surprised by the bite. While the center is soft, it wasn't soggy. It had a crispness I rarely see in the center. The sauce is there, but not overpowering. It had a nice flavor. The crust was where this pie shined. There was crunchy crustiness, as well as the good gooey top folds or bubbles that you can't wait to pluck off and toss into your mouth. This is the first time in years I've found a place that had crust so good I didn't throw it away, as in any of it. Typically, I would eat the part with toppings only and throw the edges out, that is IF I even ate that much. I even ate the edges. I probably would have been okay if they forgot the toppings, I liked it so much. That said, I do have one slight gripe. While the toppings were present, plentiful, and well distributed, they just really didn't seem like they were there. It was like they were too thin to really get a flavor from. Maybe I got too many competing Items, (pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, and black olives) I'll just have to try a couple of the standard combos next time. I look forward to my next visit. I ordered a large knowing I would have leftovers. It heats up great in my breville. It comes out crisp every time. In fact in heating the last couple of pieces as I am finishing this up. I'm glad I have a new go to spot for a good pizza. I'm off to have my last two slices of my leftover pizza. P.S. Jade, don't expect THAT kind of tip every time I come in. ; ) read more

We went on a Sat at lunch in Dec. Nice welcome and immediately seated. We asked for cheesebread which is no longer on the menu but they said they could make it so we got that, an order of cheesesticks, calamari, tomato basil soup, chicken Parm sandwich, side house salad and a cannoli. All in all it was very good. Husband thought the parm sandwich and marinara could have more seasoning but I thought the calamari batter was well seasoned, cheesesticks were enormous, salad very fresh. Congrats on the Grand Re-Opening! This place has limited seating so make sure you get here before the rush hour times. The dough.... Holy cow, the dough they make their breads, pizzas, and calzones with are in-house made and amazing! The calzone was the size of a 18" pizza folded over, good for at least 2 or more people, and even the 14" pizzas serve at 2 at least. The staff is so friendly and attentive. The food is a little greasy (usually from the pepperoni) but it doesn't take away from the taste. I used to frequent this restaurant when called Bada Bing. Food was great. Pizza was a lot like I would get in NY/NJ, I travel there a lot, very good. Then new management and seems the food quality took a hit. Now it's called just Bing. I has the Pork Ragu. Was wanting to try as I like watching cooking vids on YouTube. I expected to see wide noodles but it was served with spaghetti noodles. The Radu seemed just spaghetti sauce with pork. Not what I expected. Wife got Lemon Fettuccine and it was good. We got the Calamari appetizer. The squids were very small and even though the breading was good it seems that the calamari were kinda dry. Then I ordered a pizza. The choices of pizza were not common. Seems the restaurant is more like Italian Fusion as most items were not traditional. Got the Big Al pizza. It was good especially the pizza dough. They stated a fellow classmate's family owns the restaurant, so my husband and I definitely wanted to support them. Such a fabulous menu of good Italian dishes to choose from. I have been visiting different pizza restaurants around League City/Clear Lake. Ordering a cheese pizza. Bada Bing came closest to NYC style pizza (not the fancy brick oven type but the ones at your neighborhood pizza parlor) from the texture of the crust, the texture and taste of the cheese, the appropriate cheese to sauce ratio, and the amount of oil. Love it!! I got a lunch special of two slices of pizza and soup/salad for$7. I'll come back again and order a pie. read more

Okay, I have frequented this place back in the day prior to Covid. It was amazing back then. They had real Canadian bacon for the pizzas. Now they do not. It's shredded gross looking pieces of just plain ham. The pepperoni pizza I ordered was so greasy I had to dab it with napkins multiple napkins to make it taste less like grease. There was another family near us who I also saw dabbing their greasy pizza too!!! Just order anything else and you should be okay. read more

This is my only 5 star restaurant. That's due to its authenticity of its dishes, fresh ingredients, unique flavors unlike no other Italian restaurant. I'm not a salad person per say, but I make it a "must" to get a Bada Bing salad each time I come. It's large so you can share it with someone, or order as the main dish, it's plentiful! The incredible dressing goes perfect with the large chunks of fresh blue cheese, prosciutto, sour green apples, vinagre artichokes and sweet raisins makes your mouth explode with awesome flavors. Yes, it's got the normal greens as expected but the mentioned above items truly make this salad addictive. On this visit I also ordered the Bada Bing pasta that come with large fresh crispy shrimp, fresh pasta, light cream with olive oil, cherry tomatoes and I asked for fresh crushed red pepper flakes while it cooked to release it's hot oils into the pasta. Muuuua! Talk about my mouth melting with the thin Alfredo fresh pasta and cream, had to take the shrimp with my fingers to chomp on it as it was too large to consume with a fork. I'll be asking for this dish again no doubt! My hubby had the spaghetti and enormous meatballs with their unique Italian sausage slices, these slices can also be orders on your pizzas if you order one from here. That's is a WHOLE other story that cannot fit in this commentary, the pizzas...let's just say you're no pizza lover if you haven't tried the pizzas here Attached are the dishes we had today. No dish at this location will disappoint. It looks like a little place, not fancy, family oriented and the owner is the main cook.. yeah! He's the real thing, will greet you at the door if it's not too busy. Hit up Bada Bing early today, to avoid the crowds. Everything was so good. The mozzarella fritta was delicious, we ate them all! I kept the marinara that came with it and dipped my crust in it, and I'm usually not a marinara girl. My friend ordered half meat lovers, half plain pepperoni. I ordered half Bada bing and half chicken alfredo. Let me just say it was all amazing. We had a whole convo about how good the crust was. The staff was super friendly and happy to please! My alfredo pizza stuck to the pizza screen they cook it on, so they remade me a whole pizza because they honestly just want their customers to be happy. They didn't have to do that, but I definitely appreciate the effort. We came from Deer Park, so our only complaint was that it wasn't closer! I'd definitely go back. Worth the trip! read more

One of the first restaurants I started eating at when I moved into the area was Bada Bing! At that time it was an Italian Restaurant with an extensive menu of great dishes. When the original owner sold it a younger couple bought it and revamped its style and menu. I have been to the "new" restaurant a few times and this review is based on those visits. The food retained a touch of the previous although more limited. Quality and quantity of food is good although truthfully not as good as in the past. Standard appetizers that are decent but not remarkable. Decent selection of wines and draft beer. The service is good. Efficient, friendly, and timely. The restaurant has been given a more modern appearance and is more of a bistro than a restaurant. Clean, well-lit but not homey at all. The pizza menu is good with three sizes to choose from; no single slices, though. So.. is it worth going to? Absolutely; especially M-F 11-3 when they have lunch specials. Believe me their half sandwiches make a regular sandwich elsewhere blush. No skimping on the lunch menu although it is fairly limited. Tuesdays is trivia night and Wednesday is 1/2 price appetizer night. Additional bonuses-- they deliver and have catering in addition to a loyalty program for frequent guests. Somewhere between a fast food place and a full up family restaurant with decent food, good service and appropriate prices, you should try it out. read more

I think I'm biased because I miss the old Bada Bing but we probably won't order from here again. The hostess was super nice but we could here the kitchen staff annoyed when she's told them they got out or wrong. The food was good but overpriced now. They changed the menu and took off so may of our favorite things. We used to order from here all the time because they had something different to offer. We loved the gnocchi, Nona rina, escargot, bruschetta, muscles, spinach soup (even though it may not sound good it was awesome and even my kids loved it.) And several other dishes. Now their menu is pretty much the same as every other pizza place around here but more expensive. We got the 8$ salad thinking it'd be bigger than a side salad (which is $4) and it was pretty small. We skipped wings because their now $15 for 7 wings and H‑E‑B is in the same parking lot and has better wings for cheaper. So we just ran in there while waiting. This used to be my favorite pizza/pasta place but now my favorite is Russo's since they at least have some different options. read more
