That said, do not come just for the pizza. A personal pizza is perfect to share as an appetizer, but the entrées are the real stars of the menu. I ordered the trout, and it was one of the freshest fish dishes I have had in a long time. It was cooked perfectly, full of flavor, and served in a generous portion. The vegetables were fresh and cooked just right, and the pasta that accompanied the dish tasted like something you would expect from a good Italian restaurant. My wife ordered one of the lunch specials for less than $14, and it was equally impressive, original, delicious, and generously portioned. Sofia's is the kind of restaurant that earns repeat customers. I will definitely be back, and I would gladly recommend it to my friends and family.

It seemed pretty clear that she was ready to end her shift. When I was done, and I asked for two boxes, she took my card to pay the bill. All's well, except my bill was $51.99, tip added. I distinctly remember this figure. I even wrote it off to the side of the ticket, adding my initials. Why this is important, is because I've just checked my account, and I've been charged $58.99. This is why I rewrote the total with my initials. My tip reflected the lack of service. If you're reading this, owners, managers, whoever - train your waitresses that service is equated to the moment I decide I'm ready to leave, not your waitress. Why rush me to the degree that its obvious? I will contact my bank to dispute this charge. I wonder if the extra $7.00 tip the waitress added to the receipt was worth this review. I guess you'll see. We weren't sure why there were dried cherry tomatoes in our calamari either. It took another 10-15 minutes before we could get their attention for the check. My husband finally walked over to them asked for the check and we left. Our intention was to try the pizza that friend had recommended it to us. After a $23 tab (plus we still tipped them) for 2 ice teas and the worst appetizer in recent memory, we left. We won't be back. I ordered a meal that arrived undercooked, so much so that the dough was still raw in the middle. It wasn't just slightly underdone it was doughy and inedible. I brought it to the staff's attention & I was told to order something else, and then I was charged for the replacement meal, which cost nearly twice as much as my original order. There was no discount, no adjustment, and no effort to make up for the mistake. In the end, we paid significantly more because the restaurant served an inedible meal. That's simply not acceptable. The one bright spot was our server. She was friendly, attentive, and did everything she could to help. This experience is in no way a reflection of her service she was wonderful. The issue was entirely with how the heck am I paying double for my meal that was wrong. Unfortunately, the lack of quality control and poor customer service in resolving the problem means I won't be returning. When a restaurant makes a mistake, customers shouldn't have to pay extra because of it. Oh and let me add that apparently we weren't the first person to complain about it & it look super long.
