I'm a sucker for smaller pizza chains, and Luigis fits quite well in the category. League City joins Midtown Houston and Bellaire as the three cities lucky enough to host a location. My family and I came here for a late lunch consisting of two big supreme pizzas and mango habanero wings. The wings came first. On first bite, my tongue was greeted by a short, spicy burst that eventually gave way to a more tangy taste. They were pretty sizable as well. Unlike certain pizza places that are frugal with their chicken, Luigis does right those of us whose love them some poultry. The pizza is a certified winner in that it's baked fresh. Close to crispy crust, cheese and sauce meshing well, and lots of toppings. I don't know the method as to how the pies were baked, but I was glad there wasn't that smoky aftertaste. Because of its fairly large size, I was full after a couple of slices. I inquired about their delivery service. They don't have anyone in-house who performs deliveries, but they partner with DoorDash. I have to check my app because I'd sure love to enjoy some Luigis at home. read more

Upon walking in we was greeted by a very pleasant lady from behind the counter. We was trying this place out for the 1st time. The prices are decent. You can buy a whole pie or by the slice. They have combo add ons where you can get salad or wings and a drink. When our slices finally came to the table I was in pure awww of the size, amazing looking and delicious aromas coming from our plates. If you haven't tried this place out, it's well worth the stop!!! Really upsetting. Wanted to get good pizza from a non chain establishment.... The pizza was good.... Unfortunately the the restaurant was awful! When you walk in the door the smell of sewage hits like bricks. Went to get a cup of water, not only were there knats around the drink area but the water was cloudy. I was waiting on my wife while she was in a business meeting, and thought I would grab a slice. When I walked into the South Shore Luigi's I was expecting to be greeted by someone. The dining area is kinda plain Jane, but not entirely unwelcoming. I waited by the counter for about 7 minutes but no one came. Another warning sign was that there was no cooked pizza or even a dough smell. I saw a couple of other diners that seemed to be waiting. This was on a Wednesday around 3 pm. The quality of their pizza has been on a decline for a while. We have been a customer since they first opened and really miss the quality of the food they used to offer. They used to make a Caprese pizza comparable to no other. The owner is wonderful, just don't think she is able to find a competent chef. read more

We didn't feel like going out so I started browsing Yelp for someplace to get some pizza and wings for a "stay at home Birthday Party". After wading through the "Big Chain" pizza places, I spotted the listing for this place right around the corner from where we were staying. Am I glad I did!!! It is legit NY style pizza that was delicious! We also ordered some chicken wings and they were full-sized wings, not the little "micro-wings" you get at some of the big chains. We ordered delivery through them, which was handled via DoorDash. I ordered around 4PM for a 6:30 delivery time and they nailed it!!! We decided to give this joint a try after seeing it the night before while en route to another nearby restaurant. My wife, a native New Yorker, and I (a native Texan) have slightly differing opinions when it comes to pizza. We were, after all raised, on legit bigass slices and (mostly) chain joints, respectively. Strangely, though, we were much in agreement about this pie. It's a good pizza. But it's neither NY-style, nor is it similar to something you'd find at a mega-chain. Neapolitan perhaps? The ultra-thin crust here is akin to a saltine cracker -- minus the crunch (and salt). It could almost pass as a St. Louis-style crust. And though it serves as a mere vessel for the toppings, there's something about it that makes (me) want more. The sauce is decent ... ordinary. It doesn't stand out by any means. Cheese and other toppings are quality, but way out of line with prices other pizza joints who source ingredients of similar quality. (Yes, it's an expensive pie!) Service here on our lone visit was impeccable. These folks are truly pleasant to do business with. I look forward to coming here and grabbing a slice or two in the future, and I hope this place does a bang-up business, because variety is nice. read more

While they are always slow, our last experience bordered on ridiculous. The fam had worked together outside all day and was hungry. Pizza they said. So, about 7:00PM we order pizza from Luigi's. text says it would be delivered between 7:55 - 8:10. At 7:23 they text and tell me that it is "On its way". This place is like 10 minutes down the road so at 8:20 I reply and ask if they're lost which of course is a number you can't text so I call. They tell me they can't get a Doordasher (I ordered straight from the site for delivery, not doordash) and that they were "about" to call me to tell me I wouldn't be getting our food. Well, unless I wanted to come get it and they could "reheat it" for me. We were hungry so decided to go get it. The total lack of communication kills me as well as why would they tell us it's "on its way" when it wasn't on its way! I go there and ask them about these things and why would they tell me that to which they had no good answers. Promised to credit me a discount and hand me my cold and not even reheated food that I had to go home and serve to my family. This was last Saturday and thus far, no discount/credit given. Drove past on way to H‑E‑B. Couldn't go shopping hungry-never a good idea. So I stopped in this place to check it out. The sign outside hinted it was going to be Authentic. So when I got in they have a huge menu, lots of tasty options. Ordered a 12" pepperoni pizza and two fountain drinks $21.00. The drink machine was out of order only had a couple choices, so I picked cherry soda and it wasn't the best poured it out and tried the tea. It was really old. Walked to dining area and noticed a bunch of dirty tables but I found a one clean table to sit at. The one pizza that I ordered arrived to the table in about 20 min and was okay. I don't recommend if your looking for more authentic pizza such as Russos, or Midnite slice. Great place to take the kids and get some pizza though. read more

Super let down tonight with my 1st experience. We decided to try it out based on positive past reviews and didn't get quite the meal we were hoping.. the online order told me 45 min, when arriving after 45 min they told me "it's almost ready" then I proceeded to see the cook then put my pizza in the oven. 5 min later the pizza was "done" and after now trying it at home discovered its not fully cooked.. unfortunately won't be returning. It was fresh and full of color! The pizza was good. Was it the best I've had? No, but it was solid and I would eat here again. We've always loved this place and last night confirmed why...I had forgotten it was National Pizza Day and we called for a pie at maybe 8:50...they close at 9:00...they took our order no problem and kept the door open till after 9 so I could pick it up. I should have read the reviews before ordering. This was our first time to try this place. Ordering online was easy and they even sent a confirmation with a pick-up time. I got there and they acted like they haven't even started on my order. They told me 4-8 minutes and then came out 10 minutes later and said it would be 5-10 minutes. The food has promise but it's obvious the restaurant is being ran by teenagers. The Philly barely had any meat and one of the two pizza's was cold. read more
