Check out the size of this slice. Bigger than my hand and part of my arm.

Upon walking in we was greeted by a very pleasant lady from behind the counter. We was trying this place out for the 1st time. The prices are decent. You can buy a whole pie or by the slice. They have combo add ons where you can get salad or wings and a drink. When our slices finally came to the table I was in pure awww of the size, amazing looking and delicious aromas coming from our plates. If you haven't tried this place out, it's well worth the stop!!! They have desserts as well. The atmosphere is casual with pics of Led Zepplin , John Lennon. Overall A+

A Slice of NYC in Texas baby!! I feel like I'm back in Queen's on Roosevelt Rd at Lucia's Pizza This is good stuff Man!! Rock n Roll Music and Decor all over the joint! Nice touch. They even gots Beer and Vino too, for you sophisticated folk's. The Pizza is Delicious and instantly transported me back to NYC and I can hear the subways and bus in the background, I swears!! Great ice cream too for a topper offer Salad plus Pizza combo was Awesome and hit the spot I felts like I was in NYC!! Just for a moment.....lol Thick accent.....

We decided to give this joint a try after seeing it the night before while en route to another nearby restaurant. My wife, a native New Yorker, and I (a native Texan) have slightly differing opinions when it comes to pizza. We were, after all raised, on legit bigass slices and (mostly) chain joints, respectively. Strangely, though, we were much in agreement about this pie. It's a good pizza. But it's neither NY-style, nor is it similar to something you'd find at a mega-chain. Neapolitan perhaps? The ultra-thin crust here is akin to a saltine cracker -- minus the crunch (and salt). It could almost pass as a St. Louis-style crust. And though it serves as a mere vessel for the toppings, there's something about it that makes (me) want more. The sauce is decent ... ordinary. It doesn't stand out by any means. Cheese and other toppings are quality, but way out of line with prices other pizza joints who source ingredients of similar quality. (Yes, it's an expensive pie!) Service here on our lone visit was impeccable. These folks are truly pleasant to do business with. I look forward to coming here and grabbing a slice or two in the future, and I hope this place does a bang-up business, because variety is nice.

While they are always slow, our last experience bordered on ridiculous. The fam had worked together outside all day and was hungry. Pizza they said. So, about 7:00PM we order pizza from Luigi's. text says it would be delivered between 7:55 - 8:10. At 7:23 they text and tell me that it is "On its way". This place is like 10 minutes down the road so at 8:20 I reply and ask if they're lost which of course is a number you can't text so I call. They tell me they can't get a Doordasher (I ordered straight from the site for delivery, not doordash) and that they were "about" to call me to tell me I wouldn't be getting our food. Well, unless I wanted to come get it and they could "reheat it" for me. We were hungry so decided to go get it. The total lack of communication kills me as well as why would they tell us it's "on its way" when it wasn't on its way! I go there and ask them about these things and why would they tell me that to which they had no good answers. Promised to credit me a discount and hand me my cold and not even reheated food that I had to go home and serve to my family. This was last Saturday and thus far, no discount/credit given. Food is fairly good (normally, not this time) is the only reason I am giving 2 stars.

Drove past on way to H‑E‑B. Couldn't go shopping hungry-never a good idea. So I stopped in this place to check it out. The sign outside hinted it was going to be Authentic. So when I got in they have a huge menu, lots of tasty options. Ordered a 12" pepperoni pizza and two fountain drinks $21.00. The drink machine was out of order only had a couple choices, so I picked cherry soda and it wasn't the best poured it out and tried the tea. It was really old. Walked to dining area and noticed a bunch of dirty tables but I found a one clean table to sit at. The one pizza that I ordered arrived to the table in about 20 min and was okay. I don't recommend if your looking for more authentic pizza such as Russos, or Midnite slice. Great place to take the kids and get some pizza though.

Pizza tastes good, ranch has a great taste, clean place not sure why more people don't stop by this place is really good. They have week day specials. Wednesday we got $5 wings and they were huge. Service is great all the women are friendly. The only thing I would suggest that they change their drink machine for it to have coke products their pepsi tasted like rootbeer. And no sweet tea aggh!!!!

Updates of Texan eateries I like (1 of 2)…read more The food, the service, the small store ambiance, the parking situation, and the value are still excellent at Ivett's in League City. There should be no need to write an update. I see that my initial review was written about 5 years ago. This is about how they handle the transferral of totaled tabs to the credit card. When I go to the Houston area, I usually eat lunch at Ivett's twice a week - yes, it's that good. And it's doable because I tend to stay in their "Bay Area," which is south of the city near Space Center Houston and in the suburbs adjacent to large Galveston Bay. Here's what the deal is, and this happened last year and a year or two before that. When I get the bill, it's usually a number that has cents attached to it, thus an "uneven" sort of number. To this, I add a tip. If the final bill were to be $12.72, for example, I might add $2.28 to bring it to an even $15.00. (I've asked restaurant employees over the years if this is weird and they tell me they have customers who do this.) Fast forward to the charge hitting the credit card. In 2025, one charge went through a meaningless few cents higher and one charge went through without the tip altogether. I've never worked in a restaurant, so I don't know how the process works where the final bill is sent over to the credit card company. In this situation, I came out ahead. But that's not the point. I want the employees who were my servers to get their tips and get what I indicated on the copy that I signed. This same exact sort of scenario showed up a year or two before when I also visited twice ... with one lunch charge coming across without the tip. Another lunch charge must have been processed with an even dollar amount as the tip. Again, I came out ahead, if you even want to look at it that way, but I want the employee to get his or her tip. The price-quality-quantity here remains at 5 stars. That's why I have filed Ivett's away in my head. I've now landed on the pattern of lunch specials that I like in any given week - a chicken dish and the manicotti dish, so I come in for those. I did try the lasagna once and, since this is in the U.S. of A. and not fine dining, they use the thicker undulating sheets of pasta that I'm not a fan of. It's to be understood. It's what most Italian-American restaurants do. That dish might come in as a 4. I applaud Ivett's for being a small restaurant that is intent on serving its customers and its community. However, if the tip for that one customer's meal is $2.28, $2.74, or $3.11 because the customer is seeking to hit a "normal" looking final number, then it's $2.28, $2.74, or $3.11. And, if they don't enter the tip at all, then I feel bad because the employee didn't get their tip and it makes me feel cheap ... cheaper than I already am to some people. Fix this little clerical issue by instructing your employees how to do so ... and keep up the good work! I look forward to seeing you all (translation: y'all) the next time I'm in the area.

After checking out pics of elote ravioli on yelp, I knew what I would order. I considered adding the grilled watermelon salad, I'll save that for next time! The elote ravioli's presentation was beautiful!! Check out the flowers and the garnishes in the pic. The flavors were a delightful mix of spice and richness (not too much of either IMO). Amanda made a great traditional margarita for my mom (sweet price at $10). Wine by glass and bottles are priced well. Dessert was interesting; we ordered the smoked bread pudding. It usually sells out quickly, so glad we got to try it. Almost 80 degrees on Christmas Eve isn't unheard of. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas and very busy. Well, I'll just get right down to it. I don't typically like to give a negative review on Christmas Eve, because I know restaurants can be short staffed and busy. But it genuinely felt like our time wasn't valued. I've been a server (and for many years) so I understand people and learned it pretty quick from day 1. Our server, Jacob was ok, but it was obvious he was trying too hard. Every time he said he was going to do something, it took f.o.r.e.v.e.r. We ordered dessert and sat there for over 15 minutes still waiting for dessert. By the time it came, we were so frustrated at how we had been forgotten once we got our meal that we just wanted the check. They did offer us the dessert for free, but that wasn't the point. We ordered the zucchini fritta and waygu meatballs. Both were great! The bathroom...there are 2 stalls in the ladies bathroom. 2. Two. The line was long and by the time I got back to the table, our food had been delivered and mine was cool. My other half ordered the shrimp scampi and said his shrimp was tough and he had no idea it would come with so much pasta. Even though my food was cold, it tasted good. But there was WAY too much pasta and not enough chicken or mushrooms. Eating here was a pretty big and sad disappointment. Especially for our 2 hour drive. If you're looking for snacks and drinks, this is a place to go. If you're looking for great Italian food with great service, go to Angelo's. I won't be eating dinner here again. I might go for drinks if I can pinpoint another bathroom somewhere.

Along with that, I ordered the garlic cheese bread (with mozzarella on top) and finished with the tiramisu for dessert. The cilantro chicken pasta was every bit as good as the pictures an easy 10/10. It was packed with flavor, cooked perfectly, and had plenty of chicken. A lot of restaurants skimp on the meat, but not this place. The cheesy garlic bread was good as well. My only suggestion would be to toast it a little longer so it has more of that crispy texture. The tiramisu was also a 10/10 when it came to flavor. My only disappointment was the portion size. It was about the size of a small party dessert serving, much smaller than what I'd expect from a restaurant. I really hope they increase the portion because the taste was fantastic. Overall, the staff was very friendly, the restaurant was clean, and it has a cozy, intimate atmosphere that's perfect for a date night. We had a weekly ritual of going to Franco's Italian Restaurant. I 1st went there when they opened very long ago. Not long after my 2 tours in Viet Nam. So, we went to Frenchies Italian Restaurant and pleasantly surprised by the excellent meal and service. We had Chicken Parm, Veal Parm, and Seafood Fradiavolo. Growing up in Brooklyn, I certainly know good Italian food. We live a few miles from Sal & Judy's Italian Restaurant which is outside New Orleans and rated 5 Stars (Yelp) and Zagat. Sal greets everyone that comes in and their marinara sauce is sold in all the local supermarkets and Walmart. Frenchies was no different from Sal's. Everything was perfect! I told Sal and he went to eat at Frenchies on his last trip to Houston. He called me and thanked me, that's Sal. I was sad Franco's closed after 50 years in Clear Lake but Frenchies was a great find.
