So I've been coming to Bada Bing for years, even before they extended their restaurant and made it bigger. Their food and customer service is amazing. We decided to make the hour drive to League City and while doing so, I went onto yelp and was surprised at the mixed reviews. Since the last time we've gone, their prices have gone up, my favorite shrimp portofino costs $19!! Any who, we ordered mozzarella sticks, Italian deluxe sandwich for my son, dr melfi pasta for me and shrimp francese for the husband. All this for $60, overpriced for sure, but I know how good their food can be. Our experience was great as it has always been, we had no issues at all. Our food arrived in a timely manner and tasted amazing! This is my go to anytime I want some really good pasta! read more

Unfortunately, I have a need to write this. Service review: My family and I waited for our food for a little over 1 hour after we put in our order. The sweet lady who took the order told me that there were many pizzas before mine, and that it would be 10 minutes (in addition to the 1 hour). Keep in mind, it's pizza!!!! Regardless, if you are hungry and don't have an hour to wait for your pizza, I suggest you weight other options. Pizza review: This was just another pizza, nothing special about it. Be advised, if you get it to go (or Carry out), and you drive for about 20 minutes, then try to consume, you will have the soggiest pizza on this side of I-45. I would assume this pizza is best consumed there, however I point you the top half of this review. Overall, there's a lot of improvement for this place to do. The #1 thing I would recommend you do is, if there is a bottleneck or a long wait list before the food will be out, let your patrons know before they sit down. Omg this place has fallen so far. My husband and I have been customers since they were still in a little half of the shop they're in now. Authentic Italian food, great customer service. New owners now and sorry to say it's not good. We've been 3 times now trying to give it a fair chance and it's worse every time. Tonight was the last straw. Most of the appetizers on the menu they are "out of". Ordered the calamari and it was totally cold! Not crispy nothing, just cold. Bread totally cold and covered with oil. Waitress said "since we are busy we're not allowed to toast the bread"..wth? We just gave up and left. Maybe check back in 6 months see if they can figure out how to run the place. Horrible....ordered on line Geeek salad, it had no dressing. I called, and they explained they do NOT have Greek dressing. I was supposed to select a dressing. REALLY.....The hamburger pizza, that was cold, made an hour before we got it, had no more than a tablespoon of ground meat. Worst customer service ever from the owner Steven. Walked in for the 1st time to order a couple of slices of pizza to go. After standing in line quite some time to be helped & trying to pay I was told by Steven the owner that the register was having problems & he could not print me an receipt which I was leery about so I left without getting an receipt. So I leave because Im pressed for time & get half way down the rode & attempted to eat my pizza & the dough was soggy... It was not eatable... Since I was leery about not getting a receipt I checked my account & low and behold I was over charged. I called to speak with Steven & informed him of my order and that he had over charged me. Talk about RUDE.. he screamed thru the phone & told me not to ever show my face in his business again. As a business owner myself I cant believe an owner would act in such manner. read more

I am so heartbroken about this review. The article and great reviews I saw before we went had me and BF so chomping at the bit to try this place. The drive from Deer Park was long so we were pretty hungry when we got there. The ordering system is different from some other restaurants, apparently you go in and order, then grab a seat and wait. Nobody greeted us while we stood at the counter so I grabbed menus and we sat ourselves outside, at one of the only free tables not needing to be bussed. The place was a wreck on a Sunday evening. We had different cravings (I really wanted to try the fresh pasta) so instead of sharing a pizza we each ordered different entrees. I went in to place our order and again had to wait to be acknowledged. I can respect that they were busy but at one point the guy manning the cashier told me "I need to close this ticket, then I'll help you." I've never known that to be a priority over a customer in any of the six restaurants I've worked in. . . Fast forward to waiting for our food. The wine glasses we had to collect ourselves were coated with a film of dried red wine. 2 pieces of silverware and the water glasses had dried food stuck to them. Our soup came out in HUGE molten hot bowls. I asked the food runner if these were the "cups" of Italian Wedding soup I had ordered for us and he said "hmm". We saw another table receive baskets of bread and asked for some. He said "yuh" and walked away. It never came. The soup was inedible. On top of being boiled within an inch of its life and served too hot to even attempt eating, it was painfully soured with lemon juice and sooo so salty. I was expecting a clear broth, with some type of greens, pearl pasta and little meatballs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wedding_soup) like every other Italian wedding soup I've ever ordered. This was swimming with some type of grain (burghul?) in an opaque, red broth, with 1 meatball. My pasta came out about 3 minutes after the soup, which was unfortunately about 10 minutes before BF's sandwich came out. The pasta was good, obviously fresh with a nice cheese filling. The sauce was SO FREAKING SALTY. I was scraping it off of the raviolis just so I could eat them. My added chicken was A JOKE! I dug out a few tiny hunks of meat throughout my raviolis, THAT WAS IT. Along with the 5 dollar corking fee for literally NO ASSISTANCE (no corksrew, no wine glasses, no napkins, NO HELP) our $42 tab before tip was a huge rip-off. BF's sandwich was pathetic. Generic tasting lunch meat on a crunchy white roll topped with canned sliced black olives and cheese, with a sliced green apple and side salad with ranch. They didn't offer dressing choices when we ordered. He said he's had more impressive sandwiches from Subway. While I was there I noticed a man arrive for a call-ahead pick up order and wait a solid 20 minutes before he left with it. The family of four sitting next to us on the patio was upset that 3 of them received and finished their meals before the fourth person's pizza arrived almost thirty minutes after the first pasta dish was dropped. My army pal eagerly recommended bada bing pizzeria as a go to place for italian eats in League City. Craving thin crust pizza, I made my way over to the soprano inspired ristorante. The young man who took my order had a distinctly Italian accent. He looked like he could be Hispanic, and I almost wanted to laugh at the thought that a Hispanic guy would go the extra mile to have an Italian accent. To satisfy my curiosity I asked where he was from. He told me proudly he was from Geneva, Italy. I stood corrected, and I was psyched. How cool is it that outside of a big city like Houston is a lil pizzeria with real italians cooking behind the counter. I ordered mozzarella sticks and a pizza with salami along with their finest water from the soda machine dispenser. Recently I made mozzarella sticks at home, so I was hoping these would be better. They definitely were. The cheese instead was gooey stringy perfection. I wished the sauce had more herbs to compete better against the amount of cheese. It was a nice touch to see When the pizza came, I was amazed by the size. The description said it could feed 1-2 people, more like 3 people. Since it was just me, I knew I had ordered the wrong thing; it was way too much. The crust had huge air pockets of burnt edge goodness. The cheese that covered the surface of the pizza was a bit bland. The half empty Parmesan cheese shaker hinted that maybe I wasn't the only one reaching for the Parm to add flavor to food. Though the orange greasy pools would clearly show that a plethora of cheese was sprinkled over the crust and sauce. The salami wasn't salty or flavorful enough and sparsely spread about. With the flavors out of whack, I reached for the Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes in hopes of turning a bland situation better for my sense of taste. I am willing to give this shot another try. Maybe I should go for the pasta dish next time. The pizza was underwhelming. I've been to other authentic Italian pizzerias and have tasted better sauce/cheese/salami. I read a review in the Houston Chronicle that gave this place high marks and always the adventurer in trying new restaurants, we decided to spend our Friday evening driving an hour to League City for some - what we had hoped - delicious Italian food. UH OH #1 - as we walked up to the resturant there is a small outdoor seating area which was cool, we could enjoy the nice, evening breeze. HOWEVER, there was an UNCOVERED, full to the brim trash bin to the right of the entrance with two tables that had DIRTY plates and utensils stacked high. You would think they were closing up for the night but it was only 9:15 PM, and they are opened until 11:00 PM on Fridays. I can maybe understand the uncleanliness if the place was packed, but there was only two tables outside with ppl and three at the counter. It smelled as we walked into the establishment because of the trash bin. The inside of the place is small with a little walkway between the tables and counter, and it was untidy too. UH OH #2 - the food - the ESSENTIAL reason why we came! I ordered a small Caesar salad to start and the dressing was perfect; but, no croutons! I've never had a Caesar salad without croutons. That can be forgiven though. Next up - Bada Bing Pasta and the clams pizza that was featured in the article. My entree came with jumbo shrimps (the size did live up to jumbo), diced tomatoes, garlic/basil in a cream sauce. The sauce lacked the "cream"-y consistency I'm used to and was instead runny. Now for the pizza! Its claim to fame is the clams; although scattered throughout the pizza you couldn't really taste them. It was a very thin pizza with a lackluster crust. You may as well have called it a cheese pizza. Last but not least a customer who had arrived at the same time we did asked for the outside tables to be clean so she and her girls could sit at one of them. After 20 minutes and still no one tending to them she started to clear one of the tables herself. My better half saw this and immediately helped her out. Really?? Should paying customers be doing the staff's job? The owners need to make sure they have enough help on hand. I saw only one guy bussing the tables (finally!) and serving the food. As I told my friends, I would have rather ordered Papa John's and watch Shark Tank in bed then waste my night trekking out to Bada Bing for dinner. Bada Bing did an absolutely fabulous job helping me cater a high schools men's soccer team dinner. The food was absolutely delicious, portions were extremely generous and price was reasonable. We ordered the lasagna, the chicken Alfredo, caesar and house salads and the mega pizza . I was really impressed with how much meat was in the lasagna and chicken Alfredo (my new favorite - wow)! Every bite was incredible. The boys kept coming back for seconds and thirds. Special thanks to the new owners and Chris for helping me get my menu right! Dinner was a huge hit! On a side note. I went to bada bing because I had tried their gluten free pesto sauce pizza and it was the best!! Must try if you are looking for a gluten free pizza. This whole restaurant is a must try! read more

If you are a Northeast transplant DYING for that AUTHENTIC NY style pizza and italian food.... you WILL get it here, guaranteed! The pizza is SPOT ON, perfect. You know it's good when you can fold it up, ya know? :) The rest of the menu... the pasta, the anti pasta, the gelato... also SPOT ON. I felt transplanted back to my days in New Jersey! When I saw puttanesca, my FAVORITE past everrrr, on the menu... I knew I was in the right spot. Come to find out, the woman working the front counter (I'm going to assume one of the owners?)... she's a New Jersey transplant, so it all makes sense now. haha... It's a very small pie shop, but the decor is actually pretty cute. They have a really nice wine bar that overlooks the 'kitchen' so you can sip and watch your food being prepared. There's all kinds of classic mobster posters on the wall -- The Godfather, The Sopranos -- which is kinda cheesy, but whatevs... It's called "Bada Bing!" so it's to be expected. haha... The guy pulled it out of the fridge as if it was made yesterday, he put in the oven but tasted like it was microwaved. I like a good pizza and after reading about this place in The Chronicle and looking it up on Yelp I decided to make the trek. Yes it's in League City so unless you live in the area or are going to Galveston it's a nice drive for most of us. This is a small restaurant with indoor and some outside seating. You order at the counter and then get your drink and wait. I decided on a 12" custom pizza of mushrooms and beef. They were busy the day I went for a late lunch and the wait was about 40 minutes for my pizza. Thankfully I wasn't in a hurry. They brought by a comped order of bread for being patient. When it arrived I realized that I had made a mistake. The pizza looked fine. My mistake was that I should have ordered one of their specialty pizza's. My pizza was like any other pizza because of the limited ingredients that I had ordered on it. It was good but not a standout. That's my fault. If there is a next time, I will order one of their specialty pizza's or some pasta. During my wait, I saw several pasta dishes pass by that really looked good. I have no doubt that this place at least rates a 4. However my experience warrants a 3. I hope to get back one day but I live far away. If you don't then stop by here and get something to eat. read more

I went here for lunch today! The service was great! I loved the Caprese salad! I also did the choose your own pasta! I got angel hair pasta with the meat sauce! My food baby was so happy! My friend got the 10" pizza with ricotta, sausage, and mushrooms! It came with a side and choose a Caesar salad! We were also asked if we wanted extra bread and cheese! It was such a FANTASTIC value! Took the kids here for a quick lunch today. My son ordered a pepperoni pizza and my daughter ordered spaghetti and meatballs. She's quite picky about her pasta and likes her sauce on the side and butter on her pasta. They did not balk at this at all and happily accommodated her (you'd be surprised how often this simple request becomes complicated elsewhere). I ordered the lunch pizza (cheese) and salad with house dressing. It was great and flavorful. We'd go back again. Although it's pretty far from us. This place is the farthest thing from Italian. The food was more or less a version of pastalaya. The meatballs were probably frozen the pasta was way over cooked and the "Italian" sausage taste like Andouille. I stumbled on this strip-mall pizza joint by accident... So I didn't realize it was a real Italian restaurant and gelateria until I sat down and saw the large menu full of terms like 'home-made' and 'fresh.' I wound up ordering a Caesar salad (with great dressing, served on the side without my having to ask) and a dish of penne with mushrooms + chicken in tomato cream sauce (a large order, steaming hot, in a big bowl... Very good presentation). Garlic bread rounded out my dinner... And everything was delicious. And the gelato I had to try for dessert was also great... Excellent flavor and mouth feel.
