Candice gave us a truly remarkable that experience that will definitely have me come back. She was so quick and on top of everything despite it being a mildly busy night. Every drink was perfect and didn't overpower as many local bars tend to pour a little heavier. All in all it was the best first time I've had at a bar in a long time. We've made it out here a few times since we live around the corner. I guess I'm not feeling the love like a lot of the others. I just noticed the best nights are M-T-W so maybe it's because I'm going on the wrong nights. ;) My experience is that it's a local bar that isn't sure what it wants to be. The people who go there seem to be more about hanging out with their friends, which is fine, but this place is much more cold that others in the area where you feel like you could talk to anyone. Also, the music can be obnoxiously loud if you're there to talk it's near impossible. They do have some pool tables, which is a good thing to have. I have no opinion on the drinks in general... I can't say they're better or worse than anywhere else. I never had a bad experience and the bartenders have always been nice. I just don't feel it with this place and I wish there was some way want to come here. I'd recommend checking it out since so many people seem to like. For a reason I can't put my finger on, this is doesn't do it for me. read more

We were excited to try a new bar that is relatively close to home. This place appears to have some sort of identity crisis. On the outside it looks like an Irish pub similar to EJ Malloys or Gallaghers. But on the inside it feels more like 3636 Club or Shannons Bayshore. We first tried coming by during the day to have lunch. We were told they don't serve food. Oh OK, so we went to EJ Malloys instead. We then came back about two weeks later just for drinks. Once inside, it was loud, so loud that you cannot hear your own conversation. I ordered the first round with a Groupon and the drinks were watered down. However when I paid for the second round, the drinks were much more stiffer. We didn't stay very long and I doubt we will come back. They did have a cool looking jukebox. Went there on St. Patrick's Day. My husband and my daughter decided to go for a drink there was an extra table and we were told that was there was a waiting list. We stood outside waiting as new people came they were the ones that had the table when even on a list. I see that the lady with glasses that works there plays favoritism how are you supposed to have a good establishment. When you can't even be honest with your customers. My favorite broadway bar. My review isn't so much 5 stars for the experience itself, but the dedication the owners and management has had to making it better. This bar is "newer" in the world of Long Beach neighborhood bars and existed prior as a different concept. Since taking over, these owners has done a great job and with this slow and steady consistent pressure, they have just continued to get better and better and better. Their best "relatively recent" move honestly was bringing in "Derf" to manage the joint. I've seen so many improvements and tweaks since he joined a couple years ago, and it appears their sales volume and word on the street has all increased too. Great and friendly bar staff! read more

.., I come here to shoot pool w/ my buddies Frank & Tim every now & then. I don't know why but I always get this bland feeling whenever I come here. The crowd is usually a mix of randoms that are people I wouldn't really hang out w/ nor shoot the breeze with either. Maybe I'm just spoiled from the Reno Room or the 36/36 bar. Not sure if it's supposed to be a sports bar or what because it's not as sporty as other sports bars tend to be. They have a jukebox that I try to take advantage of whenever we come here during a not so busy wkday, a pool table which can be converted into a beer pong table upon request, & PBR's on tap which I like. Those are the reasons why I mainly come here. I'm not trying to hate on this bar, it just doesn't appeal to me the way I wish a bar usually does. I'll still come here anyways, although it's usually part of the bar crawls we do along Broadway. Check it out & see what you think. read more

I came with my friends to get some Indian food at Flamin Curry which is next door to Baddeleys. There was tables outside for us to sit which was awesome cause Baddeleys was able to order are food for us and get us bar drinks. Derf was our server and made us feel at home. He was super sweet and honestly I felt like he was our friend within 2 mins of meeting us. Corrin the hot bartender was super sweet and came to check on us to see if we liked our drink. And the drinks were so good!! She was very friendly and also made us feel at home. Derf and Corrin were such sweetheart and really gave us the best service. Dano also charged my phone!! This is a fun hangout with a large pool table, a cool bar, friendly staff and an area to grab all the popcorn you want. Talk about popcorn crazy, this place will have you standing there, devouring all the popcorn throughout the night. Few friends and I were literally chowing down popcorn for a good hour, I think. Came on St. Patty's day because the Red Leprechaun had a line out the door! It was packed in Baddeley's. Found street parking right across. The Grilled Cheese Truck was parked right outside when we arrived around 7PM, which was perfect because they don't serve any food here. They do have a popcorn machine, and you can take as much as you'd like! It's a pretty small place, with a pool table that's awkward to play at because the walls are right behind you when you're trying to play. They only had two bartenders, which made it really hard to get some service. There were a lot of people just sitting at the bar with drinks, which was annoying! For a night as busy as St. Patrick's day, you should have more bartenders and move the stools away from the bar so that people can get in and order some drinks! Ordered the Moscow Mule, which is supposedly the drink they're known for. They take your license in exchange so that you return the mug it comes in. My drink tasted watered down, and I didn't taste any alcohol in my drink. Disappointing! read more

Baddeley's Pourhouse is absolutely hands down my favorite bar. It is a great place to watch sports because they have plenty of TV's and offer a good variety of different sporting events. They even show fights without the crazy cover charge. They have a full bar with drink specials and a great beer selection. Their pitchers have this column in the middle that keeps your beer cold. It is magical. When I come here, I do not only feel welcome but Chris, Derf and Kevin make me feel like family. The place has a relaxed vibe and the bartenders do a great job of keeping people who are trouble out. If you are hungry, you can have food delivered or grab a free basket of popcorn to munch on. The only thing that would make Baddeley's better is if they were granted their entertainment license because then they could bring back karaoke. read more

Love this place! Always getting great service and even better drinks from Stephanie! Very comfortable laid back vibe and Stephanie always remembers you and what you order. I do miss the old arcade game they had that had all the old school games on it but the new golf one isn't bad. Bloody Mary made by Stephanie is hands down one of the best I've had in all of Long Beach, and that's saying something cause I try them everywhere! They've also got really really good picked eggs. I usually have a great time here but today was very different. I walked in and sat in an empty seat at the bar. There was nobody behind the bar for the first 5 minutes. Than a woman with braided hair and shitty tattoos walks behind the bar right past me and keeps walking to the microwave behind the bar and starts heating up some food. I'm still sitting there waiting to be acknowledged and then she walks right past me again to chat with the bar tables for a minute and then goes to the cooler to get them some bottled beer. Then she walked past me a 3'rd time and returns to the microwave and pulls out a togo box of what smells like greasy french fries and places the box directly under the taps (out of sight but not out of smell). Then she stands there and starts snacking on her food. Then a few regulars walk in and wave to her saying "Hi Jennifer!" Then the bartender walks and grabs a pint glass and starts making a shaken cocktail or maybe shots and walks to the end of the bar and starts chatting with them. I am still patiently waiting to order a drink and I'm having no luck. She returns to stuff her face with some more french fries not once washing her hands and continues to chat with the regulars at the bar. After waiting for over 15 minutes, I decided to try my luck somewhere else. Avoid this bar on Friday afternoons unless you are friends with Jennifer. read more

This bar is FAMILY. We came here to Long Beach for our 2019/2020 new year-new decade family reunion and they made our outings absolutely unforgettable. I would have given 5 stars to service, but since my debit card and my friends card has been compromised 3 times in the past 18 months, I'm giving this 3 star rating. Someone works behind the bar that has an access to patrons cards deff trying to use these cards illegally by placing unauthorized charges. Thx to my bank's alert, I find out right away, but calling your bank and canceling the charges, blocking the cards are such as hassle. Funny thing is that I go to many bar/dining establishments in Long Beach and it only happens here at Baddeleys. If the owner is reading this, I'd deff like to get an explanation!
