Ran it back for the spring menu! Coffee never disappoints! Old Fair Oaks area is being remodeled so enjoy now while it isn't as saturated.

Been coming here a very long time and even when there was just the single location in Orangevale. Consistently great coffee and even better service! On the Main Street in old fair oaks it's the perfect place to get coffee and some great

Easily the best place to get quality coffee in Fair Oaks, Badfish has almost everything that I love in an independent coffeehouse. Almost. It's missing plant-based pastries like you can get in just about any of the coffeehouses in Midtown. But the coffee [from local roaster Chocolate Fish] is well-balanced and delicious here. The seasonal drinks are creative and often feature housemade syrups, which I also appreciate. You can't go wrong with one of those. Service is friendly (which is pretty mandatory in Fair Oaks Village) and the vibe here is relaxed with both indoor seating and on the patio. Bonus for the comfy couch, which is a true coffeehouse must in my book. It's a great vibe at Badfish and one that I frequent. Definitely recommend.

This coffee shop located in Fair Oaks is a chic hideaway for anyone in the Sacramento area looking to try something new! They offer a variety of coffee, teas, smoothies and eats including a TON of vegan options (we got the vegan maple donut which was DELICIOUS)! The crew that works here is extremely nice and helpful! DISCLAIMER: We are matcha snobs and go to different coffee shops primarily looking for a good matcha latte so we couldn't tell you about their coffees or smoothies ... yet. But we're looking forward to coming back to try more! If reviewing the matcha alone it's a bit more earthy but delicious!

A great in between place to meet up between Roseville and Elk Grove for a weekend coffee catch up! The seasonal lattes are very fun and I loved the maple gingery one I got (forgot what it was called). The apple fritter was also delicious and a good morning snack to go with our coffee. There was lots of street and dedicated parking when we got there around 10:30am on a Saturday. Inside was very busy but there was still lots of outdoor seating. It did end up filling up a lot half an hour after though! It can get really popular here, but I can see why. Also lots of cute puppers around the outside seating area!!!!! Overall a cute little shop with great coffee if you are in the area!

We absolutely love BadFish Coffee!!!! This was our first time coming to the Fair Oaks location. We were able to find street parking easily. The shop is super cute! Everyone was welcoming and helpful! It's the same menu as the Orangevale location. I ordered an iced lavender latte and it didn't disappoint! They also have some super cute merch available to buy.

Always happy with the food! The sourdough English muffins are to die for. The London fog latte was just okay and I usually love those. I still need to try more of their coffee drinks, their seasonal menu always seems appealing--maybe next time!

Waiting for my oatmeal, fig cookie, flat white & cortado yummmm They make the BEST coffee here!!

Very expensive burnt avocado toast they tried to be slick and hide the burnt side by serving it side down

I really wanna like this place. I've given the menu three chances. Please look at my photos to understand why I'm upset. the prices are insane for the inconsistency. They just keep upping the prices and giving us smaller portions. I don't think it's right and fair to us the consumer who are the heart of the community. Ambience is so so, music is way too loud sometimes and the floor and tables can be really messy

Every time I come here, I love trying their unique seasonal drinks and pastries! They food is very filling, nutritious, and delicious too! I got the She's Camp mocha and it was creamy and yummy. One of my favorite cookies is found here, their earl grey sugar cookie is phenomenal. Great place to hang out, study, work, and or enjoy your own company. There's something for everyone! Service is also wonderful and everyone is kind, perfect in their craft, and energetic. Can't wait to be back!

First came here on a Friday morning and they were quite busy and packed. Thankfully my friend and I were still able to find a seat inside. I got the lavender latte. There wasn't that much sweetness to it. During my most recent visit, I ordered online which was really convenient. I got the iced chai and it was really good. I could really taste the spices. Highly recommend if you want something else other than coffee. They also have smoothies which I have not tried.

I adore this little coffee spot in Old Fair Oaks. It's in an easy to find part of the main strip and has a parking lot too. They serve breakfast and other food options. I love to meet with friends and sit outside and enjoy breakfast/brunch. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. It's a neighborhood favorite.

I've visited the Gold River/Fair Oaks area frequently for work over the last several years, and have spent most of my time closer to the interstate at the various chain stores. Next time I'm visiting I'll be sure to come a little further north to Badfish in Fair Oaks Village. Excellent coffee and food. A limited menu focused on quality. A friendly ambiance. Free parking. All wins :) I had a traditional cappuccino and avocado bagel. Yum.

I picked up my drink across where I ordered and then I picked up my food from a separate place when the device they gave me buzzed. What I ordered: * Chia seed pudding $7 - coconut chia seed pudding with coconut flakes, strawberry jam, and granola. Generously stuffed into a round container. Delicious. Inspires me to make chia seed pudding at home. * Hot earl grey creme tea $4 - I added honey. Perfect balance of citrus and black tea flavors. Came in a big paper cup, but had the option of having it in a tea pot and pouring it myself. Note they have a card surcharge of 2.9%. I was able to find a comfy seat with a round table. There were a lot of people but still enough seating and not too loud inside. The music was relaxing. Loved all the natural light and cozy, earthy vibes. For fellow matcha lovers, I saw a sign they use Mizuba matcha. It was already late afternoon and I had a matcha latte earlier so I chose not to get a matcha latte. If I'm around the area and come back soon though, I'd love to try their seasonal summer offering of the coconut matcha cloud. They also had a pastry case next to the register. The savory items sounded great too, so there's lots of items I'm interested in trying from here. Would recommend if you're looking for a nice, spacious cafe to relax or do some work!

Has that feeling.. ya know?!? Service was fast and friendly, everything was super fresh, made to order and solid portions. I got the village veggie, with no cream cheese, but thinking back.. that would probably even make the sandwich more epic, it hit all the right spots. It was flavorful and delivered very well. - my buddy got some kind of chicken sandwich that he said was amazing as well. I also got a coffee and that was tasty, they use Java City, nothing special in my eyes, but I get it. It's a longtime staple. - I didn't even get to touch the desserts this time!!, that will be my mission next visit, along with trying something else... from roaming local roosters to just a really beautiful hangout, definitely this place is worth checking out. As someone who is bipolar and been homeless before, I always pass along my leftovers to one of the homeless that hangs out in the park. I came up to him today with a cup of tea, and he asked if I could get him a cup of coffee. I said sure, it's 2 dollars that I can spend on someone in a similar situation that I have been in myself before. I came out with a cup of coffee for him, he was standing by the bar down the street. He requested milk and sugar. I didn't want to touch the cup he was holding so I said okay. The girl at the register was happy to give me an extra cup for milk and sugar. I filled it and was cornered when I was exiting. She was fuming, flustered saying that refills aren't free. How dare I take free refills from the shop before. I apologetically expressed I can pay for a second cup of coffee. She didn't back down. She verbally berated me in front of EVERYONE and it was an awful experience. I've been homeless myself but I've never looked it. This is unacceptable behavior and very ableist. I will still come by, but I wanted to warn others that this place is very discriminatory against the disabled homeless population and I do not want to be a part of this kind of energy.
