I picked up my drink across where I ordered and then I picked up my food from a separate place when the device they gave me buzzed. What I ordered: * Chia seed pudding $7 - coconut chia seed pudding with coconut flakes, strawberry jam, and granola. Generously stuffed into a round container. Delicious. Inspires me to make chia seed pudding at home. * Hot earl grey creme tea $4 - I added honey. Perfect balance of citrus and black tea flavors. Came in a big paper cup, but had the option of having it in a tea pot and pouring it myself. Note they have a card surcharge of 2.9%. I was able to find a comfy seat with a round table. There were a lot of people but still enough seating and not too loud inside. The music was relaxing. Loved all the natural light and cozy, earthy vibes. For fellow matcha lovers, I saw a sign they use Mizuba matcha. It was already late afternoon and I had a matcha latte earlier so I chose not to get a matcha latte. If I'm around the area and come back soon though, I'd love to try their seasonal summer offering of the coconut matcha cloud. They also had a pastry case next to the register. REALLY GOOD! I came here on a late Saturday morning and there was a relatively long line. It did move pretty quick and they were getting orders out quickly, too. I ordered a chai latte with oat milk ($8), and it was DELICIOUS. Definitely in my top 5 chai I've had. I will definitely be back. Oh, also, there was plenty of seating inside and outside. I recently checked out a coffee place right next to my hair shop, and it was great! When I requested extra whip on my drink, the guy looked confused and respectfully disgusted LOL and that's when I knew.... I was in a real coffee place, they don't play that whip cream stuff their more elegant with the foam and designs at the top lol, I'm just getting my coffee life together have a little grace on me. Checked out Pause Coffee House after a class at ARC hoping to find some good food and a new study spot. I came during a busy hour which wasn't idea but didn't affect anything in regard to the taste of what I got! Typically I like to find a spot that's quietly busy so if you're wanting to do the same I would try to come when it's less busy as I found myself slightly overstimulated by the business and seeing all the seats filled up which otherwise is a good sign! The Banana Dream Match caught my eye so I ordered it immediately along with an Avocado toast + egg ( extra cost). They give you a buzzer for the food and you have to find a corner to wait in that's out of the way and pick your food up by the kitchen. The vibe was very open and I liked the different seating options as well as the abundance of outlets. I ended up eating outside to get away from the busyness and the I was in the middle of talking when the taste of the Banana hit me. The best. Banana matcha I've ever had. Which I didn't expect because I've tried so many but what I loved most is that the banana flavor was sweet but tasted like real banana and the matcha flavor was still present. The banana flavor wasn't just at the top either it was top to bottom so every sip tasted the same making it soooo good!! The Avocado toast was good as well a little on the tangy side but I loved the egg. Wide open space filled with a lot of students. I think I observed 3-4 small study groups. I tried a sandwich here and a Red Eye. It was all satisfactory. Haven't been to Pause in a very long time so I was surprised to see the expanded seating area inside when we arrived! The coffee shop was already pretty spacious so it's nice that there is even more space available. I tried out their banana matcha and it was great! A lot of places are jumping on the banana matcha trend so I was weary about this one but was pleasantly surprised. The cream was really good and the banana flavor was definitely present. So, this is a place we really wanted to love. Pros: great service, excellent coffee and the avocado toast was superb. Lots of space, outdoor seating, takes great advantage of natural lighting inside, and just oozes "hey, this is a place to hang out and chill for a while ... and maybe order a second drink!" It is called "Pause", after all. So, what's not to love? The con, and it's only one: MUSIC WAY TOO LOUD. When asked, the reason the person behind the bar gave was "well, we could turn it down but only for a little while. We like the energy so we can stay amped and get through making these drinks..." Words to that effect. It's music you'd do a HIIT fitness class to. So in a vacuum, it wasn't horrible. Just horribly out of place. Again, there's so much to love about Pause. Looking to try a new coffee shop on my way to take my dogs to their veterinary appointment, I stumbled upon Pause Coffee House. I had never heard of Pause before and was excited to give it a try. There is ample parking as it is located in a strip mall. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The space is quite large, clean and modern. I decided to try their seasonal "gimme s'more" cold brew - a chocolate cold brew with marshmallow soft top and crushed graham cracker. It was a little sweet, but definitely a nice little treat. Since it was breakfast time, I also decided to try a bagel sandwich, but opted against the spinach and aïoli that came on it. My everything bagel had a perfectly cooked egg, Canadian bacon, and cheese. It was quite filling and given the price, I was quite pleased. It had a very creamy cinnamon taste, and was almost too sweet, but it still ended up being one of the better chai's that I have had. The real highlight was the cesear salad rap. It was $10 and much larger than expected. It had just the right amount of dressing and ample crutons, which where crunchy and seasoned. I'm not usually a cesear fan, but this one was really good and I would get it again. We also got the english muffin breakfast Sandwich, which was ok but I would not get it again. My friend ordered from the seasonal drink menu, and got the Paradise Tea, which was amazing. It was refreshing, but had more flavor than a lemonade and the perfect level of sweetness. It was also only $6 for the 16oz, the same price as my 8oz Chai.Despite being disappointed by the fact they they do not have plates and give you everything to go, the seating area was very nice. Came here on CIM and was glad they opened nice and early so I could get my coffee fix/energy boost before cheering everyone on. Parking was easy as there's a giant lot and there are even a few designated spots for mobile/online order pick ups. There is plenty of seating inside. While it's pretty big inside, there's a nice cozy feel to it. Lots of space to study/work, relax, or chat with friends. The two gentlemen inside were very kind and welcoming.
