Stopped in here yesterday while passing through Platteville. Definitely made a good choice when we picked this spot - that's Yelp! We wanted to grab some coffees and a light breakfast - this was the perfect spot to do so. I had the apple butter panini.. OMG. It was so yummy! The apple butter gave just the right amount of sweetness to the otherwise savory sandwich. My boyfriend got a steak sandwich of some sort that was on special that day. I tried a bite and it was definitely very tasty. I think my panini was better though ;) The shop itself was nice and spacious. Table had "dirty" or "clean" signs on them which was helpful and appreciated. If I lived nearby I would definitely make this one of my regular spots. 10/10 recommend! read more

Atmosphere 5 stars Service 5+ stars (provided it's not busy... then you'll have a wait) Drinks solid 3 stars (I had an iced honeybee chai which was way!! Too sweet and had more ice than liquid but once the ice watered the drink down, I was able to drink it) Food 1star (I had the stuffed avocado panini. It was one piece of bread cut in half to make a 1/2 sandwich, one tomato and maybe a shred of cheese. Literally... where's the stuffed cheese?? On top was an over ripe avocado that I couldn't even eat because not only was it browning but it tasted bad. ). The sandwhich was a total disappointment $7 for pretty much a piece of bread with a tomato. If their food menu is on par with my experience, I Simply do not recommend the food. In town for a festival and this was one of several options that offered breakfast foods with coffee so we piled in - along with many other people from the festival! They handled the crowd well and kept up their smiles and patience as they worked through what was a never ending line the entire time we were there - at least an hour! unfortunately, my first two options for breakfast were already sold out at 9 am so I went with the apple butter and bacon panini. Not bad; it was a nice contrast between sweet and salty, but I sure would have liked to try something more substantial. My iced chai with honey foam was gone in an instant. A little on the sweet side but refreshing and a good chai flavor. There is a decent amount of comfortable seating - towards the back is more of that coffee shop vibe you might be looking for. read more

Two locations - downtown and a coffee hut by Super 8 motel. This review is for the downtown. First - Coffee. Strong effort. Way ahead of the chains, perhaps not as perfect as the very best - both the brewed coffee and the espresso based. Oddity - they call a redeye/bellhop a "sludge cup". I get the expression, but I would rather order a redeye or a bellhop. Still tastes great. Food - limited options, but well done. Better than Starbucks. I enjoy the breakfast burrito very much, with extra hot sauce. Building - perfect coffee shop - old, rehabbed building, tastefully done. Strong wi-fi. No drive through, but there is always parking and you can always hit the coffee hut Staff - always great Overall, perhaps the coffee is four and 1/2 stars, but all together, definitely a five star kind of place. This was a lovely coffee shop with reasonable prices and relatively quiet ambient volume levels. The atmosphere was welcoming and the barista was kind and helpful. In addition, there were plenty of options for seating with outlets and the all gender bathrooms were clean and well-stocked. I only tried a couple menu items, but they were all good! read more

I got a frappe and it looked great but tasted metallic. It made no sense. And I thought maybe I'd just deal with it but after a second and third try, there was no way. I went back and explained the situation and they were kind enough to replace my metal frappe with an immeasurably better iced mocha. Five stars for your iced mocha and for being willing to cheerfully replace a bad drink. One star off for your metal frappe. read more

Decent coffee shop, especially for this area. I got a Badger Freeze, which was too sugary for my taste, but okay. Wouldn't recommend that, but all of the others lattes and teas and things that were coming out looked nice. They had very little food, which was disappointing because there seemed to be nowhere to grab a quick bite. If they added sandwiches or a more comprehensive bakery I'm sure people would buy it. I've been to this cafe several times now, and found it to be a comfy, low key spot where you can meet up with a friend for coffee, or I suppose settle in with your PC. Their regular coffee, and there is a special daily, is much to weak for me; but I remedy that by ordering Americano with a shot. The pastries are OK, and of moderate price and size. A coffee and nosh is under $5.00. It is also close to the Avalon movie theater downtown and other shops in downtown Platteville you can poke around in. I like the college vibe too, but don't sign me up for classes. Been there, done that! I'll just eavesdrop and soak up the "second hand academic" in the air. read more

All coffee is roasted in house so you know its fresh and a wide variety of organic, fair-trade and shade grown coffees as well as lots of loose teas assure you'll find what you want.
