I stopped by on 02/13/2020 to preview the place prior to a meetup event scheduled for 02/16/2020 ... the Bunyan Badger Brown Ale was a 5 out of 5! So, why did I give the place one star? It took one of the two Trevors behind the bar, many minutes to "see me" sitting almost right in front of them. It seems they, and a group of local Chads, were too busy discussing the Pauly Shore, yeah that Pauly Shore, show that was taking place in an adjacent room. After finally being seen by one of the Trevors, I was greeted with, "Know what you want?" WOW! After ordering, and drinking my first pint, I again had to wait many minutes for one of the Trevors to "see" the empty glass, and offer a refill. At this point I need to mention there were 10-15 Chads, Kyle, and Trevors seated at the bar. Second pint served, and consumed ... Once again had to wait many minutes to be seen, and served a third one. Finally tired of their bullshit, paid my modest tab, and went across the street to the Stadium View Lounge. I light of the shitty/non-existent service, I passed on the meetup, and will never go back. read more

I fell in love with this place! Obv, you want great beer and a great selection in a brewery = check. They had two lighter options for me, and both were nice and smooth. My fiance enjoyed a few of their hoppier options. Badger State was different from any other brewery I've been to because of the outside area - multiple picnic tables plus two large barrel seating areas with fire pits aaaand a grassy area with a few corn hole games. In the evening, the strung lights add a romantic or and relaxing vibe. I could have hung out there all night long. read more

Came here last week for the first time and it is bigger than what I expected. Nice area outside for fun activites and lots of space inside. Our brewtender was awesome, very patient with us and went through the different types of beer they offered. The Tiki Tom Slushie Series: Zombie was definitely the best I had out of the 5 flight beers I got. I ended up buying a four pack of them. Only down fall is that they don't have much food choice and that you would have to order from a different bar down the road. read more

I'm in Green Bay on business staying at the Hilton garden inn next to Lambeau Field. There's a brewery next to the hotel that I figured I'd check out. It's dead tonight, 6 people besides me. I would love to see this place hopping during a Packers game. I ordered a Mean Green IPA...super yummy. Fantastic beer selection and the staff is cool. Badger State Brewing is awesome! We went there on Wednesday (the day before the Packers played on Thursday night). We did the Lambeau Field tour, Badger State Brewing, and Titletown Brewing. Good day! Badger State has an amazing tap list: they have about 15 beers that they brew and about 15 beers from other breweries (mostly from Wisconsin). I had a pint of IPA and also did a beer sampler (because that's what you do at a brewery). I enjoyed every beer I tried including some fall seasonals that I'm not usually a fan of. Afterward, I had a pint of Hop Monster Imperial IPA and it was fantastic! If you like imperials, you need to try this one! The bartender was very helpful and knowledgeable. We went with a few of his recommendations and they did not disappoint. The place is very spacious inside and has a large outdoor patio area. I assume they have quite the crowds on Packer game days because it is within walking distance to Lambeau Field. Also, (I know this sounds weird but) they have one of the best bathrooms I've ever seen. The urinals are old beer kegs! Very unique! Very cool! Overall, Badger State Brewing was a lot of fun! They have a great tap list and friendly staff. If you are in Green Bay and looking for a fun place with great beers, try Badger State Brewing! You'll be glad you did! read more

Very disappointing experience. I love supporting local craft breweries. I make it a point to have a conversation with the bartender that light beers trigger migraines for me, and 99% are fantastic at making recommendations or steering me way from a bad choice. Not this guy. I shared my need, shared my thoughts as I ordered a flight (3 Oz ea), and he said, "sounds good." Two turned out to be light. One sip of the one and I told him there was no way I'd be able to drink that or it would be a sure migraine. I asked him for a replacement reminding him I needed amber or darker. He poured one, then charged me. I looked at him, dumbfounded, and he said, "I'm not in the practice of giving away beer. " he asked me if I wanted it or not. I told him I was fine without it, and he poured it down the drain right in front of me. There are a lot of choices of local craft breweries. This will not be one I return to support. I'll admit, I've never ventured out here since I don't really like beer but after I came out for an event here, I can definitely say I'll be back. The beer garden is beautiful! It's such a fun Family-friendly atmosphere. Games are set out and there's plenty of seating. There is a bar out there in addition to the one inside. The place is clean and very spacious. And very large selection of beer which means that I still found things I liked (lookin at you beermosa and ciders). Great tap room with many beer choices. Viewing window of the beer process. Many local restaurants deliver food to badger and they have the menus at the bar. Wit bier is the favorite. Update: October 2019. Love their milkshake IPA's and their "grassy place" but they always run out. Good for them, bad for me. Mark one of the bartenders is always our favorite. Beer is awesome, atmosphere is great! Had friends from out of town come to do a beer flight, my first flight too. Liked most beers I tried, lots of different types of beers to try which is always fun! Only downer to the experience was the bartender, he seemed distracted and moved at a snails pace. He was also chatting with some girl who was at the bar non stop (trying to multitask...) and maybe that's why he wasn't very prompt or friendly to us. We will be back though, love it there and it's dog friendly outside! It's all relative, but the cool space can't make up for the low quality of the beers. Hazy IPAs that aren't hazy and described as "smooth"? How about juicy, tropical, a semblance of hop flavor? We went to Badger state brewing last night and loved it. The decor is great, it's welcoming and they have a really cool set up. My fiancé said that even the urinals are made of beer kegs, which is pretty awesome. My favorite beer was the Gold Ranger Belgian blonde, and we got a growler fill for it, and can't wait to drink it. The staff where extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the beers. They also had a lot of beers on tap, all of great quality, which was very impressive. It's too cold for the outdoor patio area right now but it looks beautiful and I'd love to come back in the summer and hang out there for an afternoon. Definitely my favorite brewery in Green Bay WI so far. Highly recommended. read more

This place was amazing. Great beer, cool atmosphere. We loved the buzzy badger coffee ale, I don't even like coffee beers but this one was next level. We did the brewery tour (I think it's only offered at 4 PM on a Saturday). It included a free beer and pint glass, which basically equaled the cost of the tour. It was a great value is what I'm saying. We talked to one of the owners afterwards for awhile, he was a super chill dude. I was one of the lucky musicians to bring music to Badger State for the very first time, and wow was it ever a night! As a musician, booking music gigs can be a difficult venture. With ensuring you receive a reasonable wage, organizing promotion for the gig, and actually setting up and playing - things can get complicated and tricky quite easily. Not here. Even for the first time hosting music, they acted like an experienced venue ready and willing to work with my band and I to ensure a great night of music and beer. And that was only the beginning! Have I mentioned how amazing the place was? As the a musician, I also like to book venues that will amplify my sound, and Badger State did this splendidly. With a perfect area int the tap room to host music, we were able to be featured while also not making it too complicated for people to retrieve their drinks. They also have an amazing set up of tables so people can choose to sit or stand while still being able to hear and see the music. Also, their tap room is BEAUTIFUL. Being from Minneapolis, I have played in many tap rooms before, but none like Badger State. It is beautifully crafted with an easily accessible bar that is decked out in lovely wood features. It is classy and impressive and makes you feel like you are only going to drink the best of the best beer while inside. Lastly, let me tell you about the beer. I tried many different kinds as they were also very kind to provide the musicians with flowing beverages (also an expectation and a plus when booking a venue) and as someone who considers herself a bit of a beer snob, I was out right impressed with the flavors I found in the brews. They had one of the best IPAs I've ever drank - I even went and got myself a couple growlers of it to bring back to Minneapolis I liked it so much! Great brews, great atmosphere, great place for a musician to book a show. Laura Lou will be back to play music, drink beers, and enjoy the company of many good friends. Disclaimer: I am not a craft beer fan. However, I am a fan of Badger State Brewing Company. I attended a wedding reception in the main hall. This room was totally separate from the rest of the establishment, and therefore very intimate. The set-up of the room worked, with a rather large bar on one side of the room, thereby allowing the band to play on the opposite side. The barrel room was parallel to the entire floor, separated by windows. They had about ten different offerings at their reception, but there are definitely more to be had! I did try two different brews, and was pleasantly surprised. One was a chocolate beer and the other had a tint of raspberry. Who doesn't like chocolate in their beer? I may return when I visit in Green Bay again. read more

They are a new brewery and are doing everything better than 90% of the breweries around the U.S. The bartender / tap room manager Tom was very knowledgeable and helpful. They had no one serving beer outside, why wouldn't you have someone to sell beer at your 2 outside bars. Visited this Green Bay Brewery with a friend who is a regular. There tap room is fantastic - large and inviting. The decor is fun. They had so many beers on tap that I decided to get a flight of 4 of their beers. They also had a section of taps for other Wisconsin breweries. I love the local feel. Fun place! read more
