A scant 56 miles south of Michigan, you can't get much more north of here. Having been the only person who signed up for a tour of Paradise North on a Thursday night, I had owner and distiller Tom Feld all to myself. The distillery is his retirement passion project after beginning grown up life as an environmental scientist prior to transitioning to accounting and finance. I learned about his love of Barbados rum, his Portuguese alembic still, and how he's experimenting with rum using a solera aging process. Limited by only his imagination, Tom has several small batch test runs available in the tasting room, under the Boiler Room Series label. Tom has honored his childhood in his spirits, sourcing local grain from the same farmer his father used on their farm. A forager at heart, he uses spruce tips, prickly ash berries, and birch bark in his gin and sources Puerto Rican cocoa bean husks for his chocolate vodka. While I came for the rum and whiskey, I stayed for the Cherry Bounce. Cherry Bounce is pretty common in Wisconsin, usually made at home in a Mason jar with those famous Door County cherries, a neutral spirit, and sugar. Tom puts his own spin on this tradition by aging it in his bourbon barrels. While currently available in the tasting room, this is unfortunately a seasonal spirit that won't be for sale again until later this summer. What a gem! Staff were all very friendly and made sure to take care of us on a Sunday afternoon. Great ambiance and clean facilities. We all ordered drinks and sat inside for an hour or so, although it was our first time and we didn't really have preferences, the bar staff ensured we were taken care of. Lawn games and outside seating is available. Right off the marina so it was a nice little spot tucked away in north GB. Looks like they do events as well. We were out for a drive and had to stop in. So many good things to tell you about! First the location couldn't be more dramatic and beautiful - set on the bay amongst all the mooring boats - as you can imagine it's beautiful at sunset. I was so taken by the setting I totally missed the gleaming still that serves this first legal distillery in Green Bay. The cocktails are creative and delicious. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. I hope more businesses (food and maybe a brewery) take notice of this site as all would be a welcome addition. I suggest taking one of those delicious cocktails out to the huge patio and enjoy. read more

This place is pretty new so I tried to see it through the lens of that while I was here the past two times. I like the space it is spacious and I like the view right on the water. Plenty of boat/people watching on their new patio. The quality of the distillery options they distill is really good. The people actually making the drinks could use some training though. I had a couple different drinks. I really enjoyed the rhubarb pie mixed drink special. If you ordered anything off the drink menu though the bartenders were really confused and it took them time to muddle through the drink making. I even ordered a coke with rum that was supposed to have lime in it. A wedge of lime is not the same as lime juice. Price of the drinks is decent for what you get. I would come back though for the views and space! read more

Came in with the wife, she found this place had just opened up not long ago so we went because I like trying new places. The drinks were good while could have been bigger glasses for what you pay for they were still good, They have a nice view or the bay and today they had a food truck out front. I look forward to see what they can do which their distillery. Hopefully they challenge themselves with what they make and show how different they can be from all the other distilleries in the area. Went there with a group of people after the farmers market on 5/31/23. We got there 15 minutes prior to them closing and we were very rudely asked to leave. We tried to get a drink and we're told maybe if we came 30 minutes before closing we would be able to get a drink. read more

Paradise North Distillery is a great addition to the Green Bay area! We have been several times - but I was most impressed on a recent visit. I picked Paradise North Distillery as a stop for a bachelorette party. We had the BEST service! I would highly recommend stopping in for a drink. They offer tours which are very informative. My personal favorite spirit is the coconut rum. Also, great patio to watch the sunset over the bay! read more
