Waters to go bc he knew we had biked here! Didn't even ask for them. Dishonne is the best !
    Dave P.

I've been here before with friends to try the wine flights and had a great time, so when my cyclist friends suggested a bike and brews tour I suggested we stop in here for beer. Great selection of Indiana and other beers but the star of the show was our server Dishonne! We informed him we weren't eating and were just going to get some beers, he could tell we had parked our bikes outside and immediately brought us waters on this hot day without asking. Then when we asked to "try" a few beers before deciding, he insisted we stay seated to bring them out to us when we suggested we could come up the bar. Lastly, after we had settled up he brought us 4 to-go waters, again without asking! Whatever they are paying this young man is not enough, he was so courteous, friendly and caring. When I asked his name for my Yelp review he gave me his biz card, he's a special education teacher so an all-around good human. Def stop by and ask for Dishonne!

I found Baer on random occasions when I find myself in New Albany. Once it was during harvest homecoming, and we were trying to find a place to sit and just relax. That's how we came across the spot. The wind was good. The food was better. This time I was doing a cookie decorating class with a local baker. We finished our class and decided to hang around for some appetizers and some drinks. Again, the wine was very tasty. The appetizer that we got was a goat, cheese & garlic dip. It was incredible! It came out hot, sizzling and very flavorful with house made pita chips. It was the most spectacular appetizer I've had in sometime. We cleaned the bowl. I would love to go back at some point, intentionally!

We stopped in today during Harvest Homecoming. We had our pup with us so we were able to sit outside with her. The staff were so friendly and loving to our sweet girl. The owner came out and gave her lots of attention and they also gave her treats and her own water bowl! We love dog friendly places! Our food was delicious and the wine hit the spot. My husband ordered a beer and was told he got the last of it, so unfortunately he wasn't able to get a second one of that, but he chose something else. We got the backyard BBQ pizza and it was quite tasty. Our waitress was very nice but after a little while she seemed to be getting a little overwhelmed. That was totally understandable because they were pretty crowded with a large festival going on! Our food came out in a timely manner so no complaints from us. We will definitely be coming back with our pup!

Stopped in here for a drink with some friends. I opted for a beer and my friends did a wine tasting. We were served by the business owner who was very friendly and prompt! Prices on wine and beer were reasonable. I was impressed by the interior and set up of this place. My partner has also been here previously for dining and says it was great, so I will have to come back soon for the food.

We stumbled upon this wine bar because our reservations for another bar was actually for another day. My husband called it a great mess up. We were greeted at the door by pleasant staff. Jessica aka Virginia was our waitress. She was sweet, personable, and very knowledgeable about the wine. We enjoyed having her as our server l. She provided great customer service. We sat at cozy area with couches that we melted into right in front of the fire place. We tried the catwobble wine. It was delicious. The lobster mac and cheese was really good as well. We will be returning!

Nice and relaxing winery. We sat outside on the patio on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. We each ordered a glass of wine and our waitress was so nice that she let us try a taste first before we ordered a full glass! I went with the chambourcin which was very good. They have a dollar off glasses of wine on Sundays! We just wanted a snack so I got the pretzels and wine cheese and my daughter got the Caprese salad. Everything was very good. Will go back with family and friends.

A great little place with a nice feel to it. Love the outdoor seating area. They have some great pizza options, but I was really hankering for a cheese pie with basil and sauce. Their margherita comes with no sauce. Having Asiago as a cheese option is a unique touch. Service was a little on the slow side, but with it being a beautiful day I believe they got slammed a little more at lunch than they were expecting. Definitely will be back!

Love how cheesy and big yhe portions were. Waited awhile for service but the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Music was one-point too.

I recently discovered this winery and oh my gosh!!! The food is out of this world and it's so decently priced! It can have a fancier vibe or super casual which I love. I've been twice and they've had live music both times. Barbara, the owner, was my waitress both times I've been and she was SO good!! They have a good wine selection and the tastings are so fun!

Formerly known as River City Winery it is basically the same winery with a new name. Great service and very good fettuccine Alfredo with a shared salad made for a good outing. And now it's our venue for our youngest daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner. And don't forget to check out their sangria of the day for $5 a glass and $15 a pitcher. Just remember it's street parking only but there appeared to be ample parking spaces nearby.

I'm soooooooo excited that the winery has reopened. We came in today thinking the restaurant was not open as of yet so we went to eat elsewhere first. We walked in and there is food, food every where. All kinds of food choices. The only sad part for me was I am a dry white wine drinker or a rose' lover and there just wasn't many choices for my palette yet. However I have been swayed towards a red that is on the semi side but it's actually not bad at all, I rather enjoyed it. I believe I could actually go back again and again for that particular wine. The new owners are just divine, they're so personable and friendly. I feel as though they are what the winery was lacking before. I can't wait to make this my regular spot once again!

My first visit to new Albany in a couple of years things have changed and one of them is this addition which is a good thing. The service we received for a party of 20 was well done even with a diversity of orders the meals were brought out in a timely manner. Everyone around me was pleased with the quality and portion and I found the ability to order a pizza that is half & half a great choice for me. I decided on half roasted pear and blue cheese and the other a BCW which is the special of the house. I think you will be pleased to give them a try.

We walk in, and are immediately hit with good smells. We both said "mmm". Then we were sat in the bar, and we were greeted by the heart of the evening, our server bartender, Jaedyn. She immediately had the sweetest aura & was so pleasant. We found out that she was new to the restaurant & we were so excited for her! We both started with 2 drinks. I got the Marilyn, and my husband got the Passion Fruit Martini. They were absolutely delicious. His was exactly how he likes it, it's sweet, light, and not super strong on the alcohol taste lol. Mine was made with Japanese gin, which was a first for me, and blackberry. It was a really kicker start to the experience. S/o to Jaedyn. Then we started with our own personal "appetizer", and decided to get a ceasar salad (I was ecstatic about the anchovies) and he got the tomato basil soup. When we got them, it was a "wow" moment. We started digging in and my husband said "I could have about 100 of these toast things", and by then, it was too late to even get a picture lol, so sorry that isn't pictured I took a few bites of his and he took a few bites of mine and we were happy campers to say the least. Thank you Chef. Jaedyn suggested a couple more drinks, and my husband and I trusted. I got the Basil Gimlet, and he got the Lemon Drop Martini. I'm not kidding you all, the basil gimlet is probably the best drink I've ever had in my life. I'll think about this every day. For dinner, we both felt like fries as a side was what we both were craving, and he decided on the Bistro Burger, and I decided on the Fish and Chips. The proof is in the pictures, it was stunnin'. Every bite...every single bite, down to the tomato consumé, was delicious. Thank you Chef. Grace was the FOH manager, and stopped by our table & was SO gracious and friendly that it was just bursting with contagious joy. We told her we wanted to come back and see Jaedyn again, that this was the new date night spot, and that I'll be celebrating my birthday here. she even came back with our dessert, the Blueberry Pie Bar. Warm, and topped with a quality ice cream. Let's just say, the entire experience was superb. From the gentle spirits that surrounded us, to the emotion the food carried, this was the best experience we have literally ever had anywhere. That's why I'm taking the time to write this post in appreciation and eagerness to go again. Support this place, celebrate, and take yourself out on a date. Board & You, thank you!

Just tell them what you're in the mood for and let them guide you. Here's what I got recently: The Dark Bar Princess: a must if you like something sweet and fruity. I'd say it's lime-forward with a strong pomegranate presence, and the gin completely disappears into it. Super refreshing and really easy to slam. Highly recommend this one. The Day Disco: a mezcal cocktail with a chili rim that brings real smokiness and heat. It's got a little sweetness to balance it out, but the mezcal is definitely there. I've never loved mezcal so this is just "pretty good". Monkey Drive shot: It smells and tastes artificial, like heavy fake banana, almost chemical. Not their strong suit. On the food side, I can definitely recommendthe Machada empanada for $6. Beefy, cheesy, and one of the best bar snacks they have supposedly. The bartender told me it's their biggest crowd-pleaser and I agree. Overall, would recommend this spot
