    Espresso Martini

Seriously, So, GOOD! I visited this wonderful establishment on a Monday, which they had a $5 martini special, and not only were they so yummy, but they did not skimp out on the alcohol, which some restaurants do when they have a drink special, but Board and You stayed true to their drinks and customers. The food! I ordered the Bone-In Pork Chop and when I say that was one of the best pork chops, I've ever had, especially with the collard greens that come with it and the tobacco onions. So YUM! My mom ordered the crispy cauliflower, which I gave a little try, and that was delicious as well. I'm not to keen on cauliflower, but it was so well seasoned and had a wonderful sauce to accompany it. In conclusion, my visit to Board and You Bistro would not have been complete without our server, Ally. She was so enthusiastic and very attentive. She also recommended the Bone-In Pork Chop to me, which is now one of my favorite dishes ever, so thank you Ally!

A cool spot to check out. The service was great. Staff were friendly. We ordered a few small plates, and were pleased with all. I will say I was excited for the crispy cauliflower but it had a spice in the batter that was either cumin or cardamom which is totally personal preference but not for me. Pan seared scallops were super good. Excited to try more items on the menu next time. Also very cool mock-tail called Sober Sister. One more random but important aspect for me is table/ seating set up and they killed it. Not sitting in another table's conversation and angled so you feel like you are your own table is important. There are also those sound proofing panels in the ceiling which is much appreciated when you have a room like that.

If your looking for a great restaurant the Board and You is the place you should check out. My adjuster and I visited on a Saturday night and just like several times before they did not disappoint. The experience starts at the front with a great hostess staff and continues till you leave. We had the bougie grill cheese and the Caribbean chicken and they are both so good. The atmosphere was very nice and we had a great father's daughter experience.

We had a nice dinner here! We were a pretty large party and we were able to call ahead and make a reservation. The locale is pretty big with a bar area and booth/table seating. My one friend and I started out with the salmon pasta shells. These were good but didn't change my life. Also we got six in our order and the menu said four. I don't remember specifically asking for six, but I will happily take this bank error in my favor. Some of the other appetizers people got looked a bit more punchy and good for a better price. For my entree I got the Pork Katsu Curry. This was also good, but not life changing. My favorite thing I tried were a few bites of a friend's Boujee Grilled Cheese. I really liked the combination of flavors on these. Overall we had a good experience! This is a solid dinner option over in New Albany!

    14 oz pork chop

Excellent! The reception and service was great. Friendly, but not in a fake way. They were authentic. The food was incredible. We started with a charcuterie and fromage plate. It was big enough for 4-6 people. The goat cheeses and candied pecans were the highlight. I got the 14oz pork chop with braised greens, tobacco onions, peach jalapeño chutney, and jalapeño cornbread. It was the biggest, most tender pork chop I have ever had. My wife got the creamy pesto pasta with beef tenderloin. The creamy pesto sauce was fantastic (not too garlicky, not too much basil) and the tenderloin was seasoned to perfection. We also had an old fashioned and a glass of red wine. Both were very good. We'll definitely be back. If you're in New Albany, this is a must visit. If you're in Louisville, it's well worth making the trip across the river.

As always Board and you doesn't miss. Their cocktail menu is always amazing and so many awesome options. To be honest, the cocktails are 75% of the reason I got. I got a mezcal cocktail drink (cannot remember the name) and it was amazing. A nice pour might I add. The decor is always adorable and it's a nice ambiance. I recommend for friends, business and dates. The service was great too, I believe Taylor was our server and he was outstanding. I got the four cheese pasta and my only critique was the fettuccine noodles were a bit over cooked. I prefer my fettuccine noodles to be more al dente. Other than that I have no other concerns!

Glad we made reservations and so appreciate that what we originally requested for seating was honored. We were fortunate to have one of the owners as our server who was an absolute delight and obliging to our requests and needs. The holiday decor feels magical which aided towards our enjoyable experience. There was a great disappointment that the Pork Katsu Curry was sold out by the time we arrived. Yet that aids to it's either a sought after item or they didn't make enough. The next visit intends to confirm if it's the sought after. The drinks we enjoyed (Gin Margarita, the Empress and the Mango Margarita) were all well balanced. Portion size are good but not necessarily equivalent to other restaurants who may charge the same amount for more. The burger was perfect and obvious that this was a hand made item, which makes it worth the price. Fries were a tad bit salty. But that could be more of me than what someone else may not experience in the same way. We greatly appreciate that a military discount was honored. For drinks, food and dessert our final check was fair. The one item to note is the cobbler may not be to what most people enjoy and expect of a cobbler. Flavor was good but texture and lack of cobbler topping left us wishing for more substance. My overall rating is about a 3.75. A return to experience the curry will be the determination if they have earned the 4.0 As usual those who follow my reviews know that it's difficult for my visits to receive a 5.0 We'll see if any repeat visits get them there. For now, this is a great place to enjoy a quiet evening with friends or celebrate a special occasion. There was a bday group during our visit and the bar was well filled. A lovely place overall.

our server lizzie was so fantastic!!!! the drinks and food are all innovative and delicious!!!!

Ahhhh! I am not sure what took me so long to try B&YB! I loveeeed it! The shrimp cocktail was one of the best I've had...the house-made cocktail sauce is delicious. We also tried the Crispy Cauliflower. I could not stop eating it. Then we shared the fish & chips and for dessert you must try the Bourbon Pecan Salted Carmel Cheesecake... heavenly. Definitely happy this place is in my backyard! oh, the martinis are amazingggg!

I ordered: Charcuterie and Fromage board Chicken Marsala The charcuterie board was pretty good. I'd say 4 stars did that. I wish there was more cured meats and smaller crackers. The cheeses, nuts, and jam was very good. The chicken Marsala was good but very heavy on the salt.

Scallops with a sweet potato purse and bacon topped with fried potato sticks.

Our server Ally was wonderful! The service was amazing and the owner so kind and hardworking. We had a party of six and our food and drinks were spectacular! Love this place! Every time we have a celebration we always choose to celebrate here because not only is the decor pretty the food is always fabulous! The Bougie Grilled cheese is a treasure! We could taste how fresh all of the ingredients are and the staff is always amazing! My friends and I love coming here will always be happy to return.

The service here was slow, the drinks and food were alright. Nothing spectacular that would give me cravings to return. The bartenders were friendly and entertaining to watch. I really liked the venue, it was decorated very modern. I ordered the filet, it had pretty good flavor, but again nothing that gives me cravings to come back and order again. The espresso martini flight was a great option to try their 3 offerings at once. The house espresso martini was my favorite btw.

Favorite bartenders in New Albany. Ask for Emily. She loves bourbon and will recommend Old Forester 1924 because she knows quality pours.

Prices seem reasonable but portions are smaller than you'll get elsewhere. There's a few on draft, some alright cocktails and a limited food menu. I opted for the pretzel bread and pimento spread and was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed the freshness, texture, and taste! Music selections fluctuate both genres and volumes. Some aspects were good but several were really bad. We stated with the Fire appetizer, grilled season shrimp, escargot, broiled oyster, and scallops. The shrimp were pretty good but different seasoning. We had the Caesar salad which was pretty good. My wife had the special of lobster and filet. The lobster was way over cooked and the filet was a salt block. She could not eat it. We tried to cut the seasoning off of it to eat it. Definitely not worth $80. I had the charred octopus. Great ambiance and decor, feels rustic and chic at the same time! Comfortable chairs which is rare to find anymore. We were seated at a low table in the room at the front which was nice as it was quieter than the big open restaurant in the main part. My mom and I had a great lunch! The attentive waitress shared that the chef was new and it was a new menu. There were so many fabulous choices on the menu it was hard to choose. Goat cheese burger, fish and chips, Brie and jam grilled cheese, Nashville hot chicken, just so many things sounded good. I opted for the Nashville hot chicken, it was moist chicken breaded and nice and crisp, with a creamy slaw and a chili oil drizzled on it for more spice, then it also had habagardil pickles on it, the best pickles I have ever had! Only a couple places use these local pops habagardil pickles and they are spicy and delicious. The sandwich was delicious on a brioche bun. Messy, and magical this sandwich was. The fries were so good it was hard to stop eating them! My mom had the blueberry jam and bacon Brie grilled cheese with a drizzle of balsamic glaze, and she eats very little but she devoured this sandwich and also loved the fries! The tomato basil soup also looked good! I will have to become a repeat customer because I need to try that goat cheese burger and the salmon bowl, well, and every single entree on the menu!! Bringing friends back soon!! The chef here is creating some amazing food!! The only issue we had was finding parking. She uses a walker and the only place we could find to park was handicapped over at a neighboring restaurant and it was a bit of a walk for someone with mobility issues. Front doors are heavy, and you have to open both doors for it to be wide enough for the walker to go through, so getting in wasn't easy. Food amazing, accessibility challenging.

Even before we were seated, I noticed a server wearing a green bandanna speaking to another employee, who we later learned was the manager on duty, in a way that seemed unprofessional and unfriendly. After we were seated, my wife asked if we could move because she was cold. We then waited about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table. When our server finally arrived, she acted like she didn't want to be there. My wife asked for a recommendation, but the response was vague and unhelpful. Our drink order was wrong. My wife and I ordered waters, and our son ordered a Sprite, but we received two lemonades and one water instead. After taking our order, our server disappeared. She never brought our food, checked on us, asked if we needed refills, or stopped by the table again. The manager walked past our table several times but never seemed interested in checking on our experience. The biggest issue was my son's meal. He ordered chicken sliders with the sauce on the side, but they arrived covered in sauce. Another employee took the meal back to be remade, but it came back wrong a second time. By then, my wife and I had already finished eating, and our son had been waiting nearly an hour without a proper meal. When I spoke with the manager, I asked that my son's meal be removed from the bill. Instead of taking responsibility and apologizing, the manager offered excuses rather than solutions. Mistakes can happen, but it's how they're handled that matters. Unfortunately, the customer service from both our server and the manager was disappointing. We left frustrated, and based on this experience, we will not be returning to this location.
