I was nervous to try crab because so many places give you fake, gross crab, but this is amazing. Bagel Bakery was my one stop for my breakfast run before class when I went to Salisbury University. I always ordered the everything bagel with jalapeno cream cheese and let me tell you, this is soooo good! My room mate always got the "crabby melt" which is probably their most popular item. The bagels were always great. I never tried their drinks or donuts/muffins. The atmosphere is indeed outdated and a little small but its such a great place (and very convenient) to stop by. read more

I come here about five or six times a week. The owner is friendly and circulates the dining area to be sure everything is ok. It is kept clean and the crew is friendly. The food is wonderful, especially the crab dip and the pizza bagel (bagels made fresh daily). Some don't know that you can also get a wonderful salad here. You can buy for under $5.00. My husband and I (and the rest of our family) have enjoyed it for years. It has become a great meeting place for many people. You can't go wrong here. If you do seem to have a problem, speak to the owner who will try to make it right. He welcomes your comments - both positive and negative. Wonderful fresh bagels with good choice of types - I usually get Salt if they have it or Asiago. You'll get a very hefty smear of cream cheese oozing out of the sides. They usually have some interesting baked goods on the counter as well - the blueberry bagel knot thing with the icing is delicious. Good selection of coffees. Minus one star for the surly young girl taking the bagel orders. A smile goes a long way... Tip: don't go mid morning as you'll be stuck behind a bunch of college kids who can't decide what to order. When I was in high school (over a decade ago), I would frequent this establishment. When I stopped in the other day I realized this bakery is definitely NOT like it use to be. When I walked in the 2 girls looked at me, but didn't say hi back. The owner (I guess) jumped up and said hi so I gave him my order and not the 2 girls. I assumed they were busy even though there were literally only 2 people there and they were eating. I always ordered the bagel knots so of course I had to get one. It was really really hard and had probably been sitting out for a while. I'm incredibly disappointed and sad the bakery is no longer like it use to be. Such a shame. read more

If you're in the college area, these are probably the best bagels you can find around here! I love the everything bagels, and the breakfast sandwiches are great! The bacon was fantastic last time I was in. The employees come and go (I mean, it's a college town!) but the owner and some of the people who I think have been there a while are all wonderful! I admit being from NYC my bagel standards are relatively skewed. But these bagels weren't fit to feed any human being. To ask for it toasted means they cut it in half. And they ignore special requests such as little cream cheese. All in all I'd recommend a Dunkin Donuts over this place. read more

I had the toasted eggwich (with American cheese on an Everything bagel), OJ, and the Washington Post all under $5. That's a miracle to the the likes of a District (of Columbia) resident who expects to pay a bit more. The prices for everything on the menu (including the pastries and coffee) are rather reasonable. The service was extremely friendly, fast, and they have FREE Wi-Fi. There's also lots of seating areas and even a TV playing the latest late morning talk shows (i.e, Ellen). OMG yes! This place is a hidden gem. It is so good. I truly think that these bagels have special powers in them...yes they are that good. I get the bacon egg and cheese on everything EVERYTIME. I've frequented the Bagel Bakery quite often in the last ten years and it's always solid. I love their bagels, the prices are great, and the crab dip melt on everything bagel is to die for. Customer service is up in the air. Sometimes I know the gals behind the counter and of course they are nice, other times the people behind the counter won't even crack a smile or ask how they can help you. Just a blank stare waiting for you to order. The system can get a bit messy when it's busy - they just call out the order when it's ready and my sister had someone swipe her crab dip melt once (they take a loooong time to make). Basically, it's a solid choice and I will continue to frequent Bagel Bakery. read more

Just moved to Salisbury and this Bagel bakery was recommended by a friend. I enjoyed excellent customer service from Dillip - the owner who also rang us up at the counter. I used to come here regularly, but the last three times I visited my bagels were stale--once, even moldy! How difficult is it to keep fresh plain bagels in stock, really??? All I know is that Giant manages to do it pretty well, which is where I go now when I need a bagel sandwich fix. I just have to make my own. I go here very often. Love bagel sandwiches and the bagel bites are the bomb. Owner is always present and friendly. Fast service. I always get an everything bagel with egg, cheese and ham. Which they would put a little more ham on the sand which as you only get one thin slice. But I always go here before school! read more

Ok first of all.. I know three stars of alittle low, but I've given this place a try over and over again.. I'm originally from colorado where a good bagel FRESHLY made is a fine a dozen and amazing bagel shops are around every corner.. That being said. The bagels are ok, ive never actually seen them making bagels or taking fresh bagels or out the oven, I have seen them out of a bag though. It really izd the only place to get a bagel in town, unless you want to go to panera, or dunkin donuts. So the competition isn't the highest. My problem is the lack of cream cheese put on the bagel and the horrible attitudes behind the counter, lets not forget to mention the cashier, who might be the owner, who watches you're every move to make sure you don't read the 50 cent news paper .. Because if you read it, you buy it. Overall, its not a horrible place, and the only real place to get an ok bagel, just get it togo..lol read more

The bagels are good and prices are relatively cheap HOWEVER, the Foreign owner should take a course in customer service. IVE personally witnessed him yelling at a employyee casting a cloud of awkward on the small store. Today I went, NO greetings from the owner that just straddles the register.
