This is a great bagel shop! My favorites are the chocolate croissant, garlic bagel toasted with butter and the blueberry bagels. Everything is made on the premises, so of course all the bagels, croissants and muffins are delicious!!! They have a great selection of Snapple and juices. Best bagels in Bucks Co. and probably the only fresh "NY-style" bagels around...Hot and crusty. They also know how to handle a crowd, which there is every weekend. Tasty cream cheese and they dont charge an arm and a leg. Come here whenever I can with the kids. Good coffee too. read more

Bagel Barrel has been getting better and better if that is possible. Not only are they continuing to add and rotate new flavors of bagels and cream cheese, they have added locally roasted coffee from Homestead, and added an extra large coffee cup. Service remains fantastic, as these folks are committed to the community and making people happy. Doylestown does not have a business that is a better neighbor and servant of its citizens. read more

Bagel Barrel is the absolute best breakfast place in Doylestown. I have had "Long Island bagels" and this place is better. They are the best bagels I've ever had and their breakfast sandwiches are amazing. I see that some people have complained about the service. I have been coming here for 5 years and I have never had an issue with the staff- they are very friendly and it's been the same staff for years, which I absolutely love. On weekends, lines can be long but trust me when I say: they are efficient! One person takes your order and that person is the one that prepares your food. This is actually a great system and leads to the line moving quickly... I'm not sure why more places haven't adopted this method. All in all, this place is awesome and do not visit Doylestown without coming here! read more

Bagel Barrel is right near the heart of the town and the inside is a cozy place. The workers were somewhat pleasant. I got a sesame bagel toasted with cream cheese. The bagel tastes a lot like manhattan bagel, so I was satisfied. The service was a little slow, but that's understandable because the place was pretty busy. Today at around 9:30 a good friend with an infant and toddler visited and placed an order for two bagels. The young mother was verbally abused and humiliated to the point of tears by the clerk taking her order due to his inability to understand her slight Finnish accent. This woman speaks English very well and never encounters difficulty in other retail establishments. There were no other customers in the store at the time. The sheer ignorance and belligerence displayed was astounding. Good luck staying in business. read more

We've given this place plenty of chances and yet every time instead of feeling like they appreciate our business we feel like we are being a pain in the ass! Not friendly at all and bagels are mediocre- never have all the cream cheeses available. Eggs are microwaved and gross. Go to Manhattan for friendly service and same quality! read more

I LOVE the Bagel Bites. If I think that a bagel will be too filling, I slice open a bagel bite or two, toast and smear with cream cheese. Fabulous! Last night, I left a message on their voice mail that I wanted to reserve 14 orders of Bagel Bites. At 6:30 AM, I called and they already had them bagged for my pickup. I finally found a great bagel place and the bagel barrel is it. Years ago I used to get my bagels from Brooklyn bagels in Philadelphia on Bustleton ave. When they closed up it was difficult to find a place that makes bagels that good. I live in New Jersey and the only places I found to come close is in Manhattan, which I go up to once a month for a bagel run. Now I found the Bagel barrel and I'm hooked. The bagels are soft and dense, the way good bagels should be. I don't think you will be disappointed. read more

I have been buying bagels from the Bagel Barrel regularly for the last 5 or 6 years. I typically purchase 2 dozen bagels when I drive the 20-25 minutes from my home to Doylestown and find these bagels to be far superior to any bagel that is sold by competitors including Einstein, Manhattan, or supermarket bakeries. The Bagel Barrel bagels are both boiled and baked which makes them very reminiscent of the bagels that I used to purchase at Jewish bakeries in Northeast Philadelphia and the ones that can still be purchased in Brooklyn. read more

One of the best bagel places ever!!!! I used to come here with my parents all the time as a kid, so I love that this place reminds me of my childhood. The employees here are so nice as well. The have the freshest bagels with a huge variety of flavor choices. My go to is a toasted blueberry bagel with plain cream cheese. They also have breakfast sandwiches, which are also amazing. We love the Bagel Barrel!! I often walk to the store with my son after playing at Burpee Park, and we are always greeted by the friendly staff. The owner has often come from behind the counter to chat with us about the pictures on the wall. It's so great to have a place downtown where you feel like a valued customer!
