    Chicken salad / everything bagel

Stopped here for a quick lunch. The place has parking with is amazing considering it's on old york rd and there is never any parking lol. Food was delicious. the place was very comfortable and the cashier was very personable.

    Unripe avocado toast. Pass!

What I liked: The bagel sandwiches are good. They had a nice amount of egg, cheese and cream cheese. Make sure to get it toasted so it all melts nicely. What I didn't like: Pass on the Avocado toast. It was literally unripe avocados that just make you get the "ick" the moment you bite into it. If they used ripe avocado and maybe mashed it to the bread, it would be good. The seasoning was nice and all but couldn't get past the cold, thick wedges of unripe avocado. I was able to firmly hold the avo in my hand, and it did not lose its form. It would be nice if they took names when ordering because the pickup area was pretty chaotic.

Everything bagel with egg and cheese

This is my new bagel spot since I have moved into Montgomery county, and overall the bagels here are not bad. The outer layer is crunchy and chewy, just like it should be. While the bagels run on the small side, the inside is fluffy and moist. Extra points for actually putting salt on their everything bagels!! That is a huge pet peeve of mine that many bagel places do not do this. They also get points for having a very varied menu, including other foods as well. It's basically a nice little deli. Now that it's a weekend tradition, I plan on returning many more times.

Fill a bagel...Barely enough to fill a teaspoon! $4.17. Disappointing.

We went there this morning to pick up a raisin challah - we were making French Toast! The challah is excellent - rich, soft and sweet, it has a tender, delicious taste. The raisins added an extra touch of sweetness to the French Toast. Then there are the numerous pastries and cookies. We decided to get a few Hamentashen (chocolate and poppy), a raspberry croissant, a chocolate and a raspberry rugelach, and the most amazing looking Sticky Bun. I'll start with the Sticky Bun. It was exceptional; a soft, fluffy, and slightly chewy dough - challah like, but denser. It was laced with a sticky, caramelized glaze, studded with raisins and walnuts. It was 'melt in your mouth delicious', and a must try. Next up - the raspberry croissant. This is not your typical croissant - I'm used to the plain, or chocolate - I can't recall having a raspberry croissant before. It's one of the best I've had. It combines a flaky buttery croissant with a sweet, tart raspberry filling. The Hamentashen were good - the chocolate was better than the poppyseed - as the later needed much more Mohn (poppyseed paste). The rugelach was good; the raspberry was too sticky, but the chocolate was fine. If you're near Elkins Park, and you haven't tried Rolings Bakery, it's time you did!

One of the coolest things is that they make all their bagels on site -- you can literally see the trays of fresh dough and the team working in the back. It gives such a homey, authentic vibe that you don't get at most bagel places anymore. We both ordered breakfast sandwiches, and they were incredible. I had the jalapeño cheddar bagel with egg, spinach, Swiss, mushrooms, and scallion cream cheese. It was creamy, flavorful, and the bagel itself was perfectly chewy with that little jalapeño kick. My husband got an everything bagel with the same egg/veggie combo and vegetable cream cheese, and he loved every bite. We also ordered their pumpkin cinnamon latte, and WOW -- you can actually taste real pumpkin in it, not that artificial syrup flavor. It was cozy, perfectly spiced, and honestly one of the best pumpkin drinks we've ever had. The service was friendly, the place has that small-town charm, and the food tastes like people who care made it. If you're anywhere near North Wales, this is absolutely worth stopping in for fresh, made-on-site bagels and great coffee. Highly recommend!

I ordered two sandwiches to take home: a bacon, egg & cheese on a garlic bagel and a pork roll, egg & cheese on a garlic bagel. Both smelled delicious when I opened them up, and I was happy to see that the eggs were made fresh rather than being zapped in the microwave. The biggest disappointment was the size of the sandwiches. For the price, I expected them to be a little more substantial. Adding another egg or two would have made a big difference and given the sandwiches more of a stacked, filling feel. The staff member who took my order wasn't particularly friendly, which also took a little away from the experience. I understand that a specialty bagel shop may cost a little more, but the sandwiches are a few dollars more than what I could get at my local deli. Overall, the food was good, the bagels were fresh, and I like the concept, but I think the portions and customer service could be improved to justify the higher price.

I happened to stumble upon Bagel Barn while heading to a doctor's appointment, and I'm glad I did--I found the needle. This place is 100% legit. These bagels have exactly what I look for: that deep, dark-baked color and a distinct crust on the outside, opening up to that perfect, characteristic chew that only a real NY-style bagel possesses. The Standouts: The Everything Bagel: A classic that does not disappoint. The Everything Asiago: Stop the presses! This is a hidden gem and a total must-try. The Cold Brew: I won't even ask how they make it; something that good just deserves to be paired with an amazing bagel. The "Purist" Test: On my first visit, they asked if I wanted my bagel toasted. As a purist, if the bagels are being made fresh, I don't want them toasted unless I'm eating them days later at home. The fact that this bagel held up perfectly without being toasted proved to me that this is, hands down, the best place to buy bagels in the area. The Service: The cherry on top is the ownership and the staff. I've been in three times now, and the team is consistently warm, friendly, and welcoming. Thank you, Bagel Barn, for bringing a real piece of home to PA!

In the past, Kismet had one of the most amazing tuna sandwiches around--tuna with green goddess dressing, crushed potato chips, and cheese on bread. It was unique, flavorful, and absolutely worth the price. This time, however, it seemed to be a much more mayonnaise-heavy version, and it completely lacked what made the sandwich so special. For the amount it costs, I was really expecting the quality and flavor profile that made it a favorite. I hope you'll consider bringing back the original recipe. It was distinctive, memorable, and one of the reasons I kept coming back. The current version just doesn't compare.
