Chicken salad / everything bagel

Stopped here for a quick lunch. The place has parking with is amazing considering it's on old york rd and there is never any parking lol. Food was delicious. the place was very comfortable and the cashier was very personable.

Unripe avocado toast. Pass!

What I liked: The bagel sandwiches are good. They had a nice amount of egg, cheese and cream cheese. Make sure to get it toasted so it all melts nicely. What I didn't like: Pass on the Avocado toast. It was literally unripe avocados that just make you get the "ick" the moment you bite into it. If they used ripe avocado and maybe mashed it to the bread, it would be good. The seasoning was nice and all but couldn't get past the cold, thick wedges of unripe avocado. I was able to firmly hold the avo in my hand, and it did not lose its form. It would be nice if they took names when ordering because the pickup area was pretty chaotic.

Terrible service. We were the only ones there and they took 15 minutes to handle a small order of four people

Probably some of the best bagels in the area. Friendly and fast service, lots of great breakfast and lunch choices.

Staff is always friendly. Food is always delicious. It's worth the price for a freshly made meal. And their sweets are delicious too!

Everything is so good, plus they make their bagels on site. They do have parking, not a lot, but adequate, and the staff is so nice..

Worst avocado toast I ever had. The defrosted avocado that they use tastes soggy and tasteless. Horrible!

Social media has opened my eyes to some classic neighborhood gems lately. Chubby's has been around…read moresince 2010, and I've driven by it plenty of times, but I was introduced to their sandwiches few weeks ago. I decided to stop by this past weekend to give it a try. I called in my order and the woman on the phone said it would be ready in about 20 minutes. I ordered two Hot Fuzz (one for my fiancé and his friend) and a Tuna Italiana. When I arrived, there were 4 customers inside waiting for their orders and browsing the massive selection of chips. Chubby's also sells beverages so you can make it a complete meal. Additionally, they serve breakfast sandwiches and are open 7 days a week! The Tuna Italiana sandwich really blew me away. The sharp provolone cheese, roasted red peppers and seeded roll made for a really nice flavor profile. Everything tasted fresh. They cut the sandwich in half properly so you aren't struggling to break it apart. Service was pleasant and fast, and prices are reasonable. It's slightly more expensive than Wawa but also more flavorful. Chubby's is my go-to now for deli sandwiches since it's in such close proximity to home.

Didn't take many pictures, but I did post a video. Couldn't take pictures while I was absolutely…read moredestroying this sandwich from a spot I had never even heard of before today! Wasn't in the mood for a steak (I know, I know...don't crucify me) and I found Chubby's Fox Chase Deli on a google search based on where I was near and stopped in. The woman and man working were very nice. The shop is a tiny corner store with no seating so plan to grab and go. Got the "Turkey Italiana" which was turkey breast with sharp provolone, roasted red peppers, and garlic mayo on a seeded Liscio's roll (they had unseeded too if that's your vibe). This sandwich was excellent, I'm so happy I made this choice today. If you're up in the Northeast area and feeling a hoagie...this one is a winner. Absolutely Didn't Suck!

The food was fine enough to get 3.5 stars. The roast pork was fair but too much jus made the bread…read moretoo soggy. The service is what this is review is about. The owner, if given the time, will talk your ear off about the chilli. That's fine and all, but then he acts like he's God's gift to the earth about chilli. He handed us samples unprompted which and meant well but my wife doesn't like chilli. We both told him that to his face directly. End of story? Nah, he insisted and insisted that she eat it until she felt uncomfortable and just caved to get him to stop. Fellas, if a woman says no to something and says it isn't something she wants or likes...she isn't going to change her mind just because you think you're special. It's a fine local deli but I'm not going to pick it again over other fine local delis.

I stopped in Timmy D's for a recent take out lunch order and I wasn't disappointed. The woman who…read moretook my phone order was kind and patient. She answered all of my questions and took it easy on a first timer. When I arrived, I found plenty of private parking behind their building and I thought it was convenient that they have a back and front door. The inside was pretty spacious and clean. They have coolers with drinks. sides and a couple of chip racks. My order consisted of their famous chili (award winning according to their menu), a chicken cutlet on a toasted roll with spinach and sharp provolone and a cheesesteak. They told me the order would take 15 minutes and they were dead on with their estimate. Now to the tasty part, the Filet Mignon chili was outstanding. For me I enjoy a chili that isn't too thin, but not incredibly thick and theirs is right in the middle. Lots of flavor, small lean cuts of meat, soft white and red beans, touch of cheddar cheese, green onions and a peppery/spicy kick from the middle lingering into the finish. Sadly I went with a smaller portion, but I'd go back for some more in a heartbeat. The chicken cutlet sandwich was decent, the breading had a sweetness to it that was a little different, but that wasn't a terrible thing, the roll was fresh (they told me they use a baker that mimics Sarcone's seeded rolls) and the cheese could have been sharper but was acceptable. The cheesesteak was on the same seeded roll .... points to them for not giving me a soggy, drippy, greasy roll .... but the meat was dry so I suppose that dry roll came at a cost. It could have had more cheese mixed in with the chopped meat. It was a slightly above average cheesesteak in my humble opinion. Would I return to Timmy D's? Absolutely! Besides a return trip for the chili, I'd love to try one of their panini's "spicy ultimate" sandwiches or an Italian hoagie. Thanks guys!
