I am an avid bagel lover and bagel blogger - I am searching to find the best bagel in Central New Jersey. I have been to over a dozen bagel establishments in the area, and Bagel Bazaar rates pretty low out of all of them. My onion bagel had nearly no toppings. The bagels tasted a little stale and were definitely too dry. I ordered plain cream cheese and I am pretty sure they just used Philadelphia spread. I will not be returning. Their bagels are more like rolls. They are always short staffed, and never very happy to see the customer. It's always the same few people working. Their deli meats are not Boarshead and they don't look the freshest. They are close which is the only benefit. But truly when we aren't in a time crunch this is the last place we go. Horrible customer service, waited 30 minutes for 4 bagels. People behind us in line got food before us. When asked to check on food I was told to "WAIT" rudely. Very rude employees. All in all very bad experience we will not return and we will tell people not to go there. read more

I've been coming here for years and the food as always is not disappointing. I get the french toast , plain bagel with cream cheese, and french fries. Not really much I can say except the workers there need to change their attitude. They are always giving a face or giving an attitude. I come here at least once a week. If you are a regular here and order the same thing after only a few times they know your order. The service is quick and it's normally just 2 or 3 people helping out. It has bagels but they have deli meats too so you can get just about any type of sandwich and it's all reasonably priced. read more

I'd give a 2.5 stars instead of 3... only because the customer service isn't the best but it's not terrible. The food is good but not the best either. I was really disappointed to find the tables dirty after my order (more than one table!). It's in a convenient spot however, so I am likely to come back if I need something quick. read more

The breakfast bagels are pretty good but the service is veryyyyyy slow and the staff is unfriendly. They are notoriously rude and unfriendly across the board. I ordered something over the phone once and when I got there 30 minutes later to pickup my order, I was told that they were out of that type of bagel. I was shocked. The bagels here are very very good. However, you can be waiting up to an hour to receive your bagel, even with a small line.

EH, for having 5 people working behind the counter you would think it wouldnt be a 20 minute wait for one sandwich. Tried Bagel Bazaar today for the first time. Had cheese steak and fries! It was delicious and had a lot of meat! This is my new fav place!

I picked this place because I did not want to drive a few extra minutes to my usual deli. The person preparing my sandwich forgot to put lettuce and tomatoes - the ONLY toppings on my sandwich. After paying (which was pricy for the size of the sandwich) I had to come back in because the chips were expired! The lady tells me to pick other chips but the entire row was expired! So she tells me to pick from the bottom. Should've driven a few minutes more to get what I wanted minus expired chips. read more

The bagels here are excellent, very consistent. If you get here late though there aren't very many bagel options left, though they do have a very unique selection. The staff is friendly but it definitely takes a while to receive your order, but worth the wait. The prices are also good. I would highly recommend the bagel with bacon egg and cheese. This place has gone downhill. The food is mostly good, but inconsistent; stay away from ordering anything from the grill since it will take a good 1/2 hour for them to do it. Probably the most unorganized order processing system ever. Last visit ended with a customer complaining about the long wait and the mistake in his order for the second week in a row, only to be reacted by the cashier/owner "taking it outside" with him--arguing and finger-pointing as the already immense line inside waited for him to finish his schoolyard tom-foolery. I've been going to this place maybe once or twice a month since high school, and I never got around to writing a review because I don't feel like this place is worth the time a review would take to write. There is a slight language barrier and if you, the customer, do not meticulously enunciate your order, there is a chance that it will get messed up. The credit card minimum is another issue with this place, and the only reason I keep going back is because it is conveniently located in accordance with my house. The women are nice, but it would be helpful if they had more employees to take orders more efficiently. Lastly, the restaurant is very cramped near the ordering and paying areas--if you go when it's crowded, good luck getting out in a timely manner. read more

Their food is normally amazing but I always get the same thing- the past 4 times my sandwich bread has been SO OLD AND CRUSTY it tastes like its been sitting there for a week. I called explaining I spend a lot of money there and kindly asked for a refund.They refused and instead said they would make me a new one next time I come in but didn't even ask for my name or anything. They barely deserve one star ! Come here if you have all morning to wait for your bagel and be greeted by unfriendly employees. I went in Saturday to get a bagel with a friend, waited 45 minutes!!!!! As soon as we asked where our food was it magically appeared within seconds, even though we stood there 45 minutes. Every time I step foot into this place I regret it. The service I the place is horrible!! The staff/woman behind the counter are extremely rude. The language barrier causes confusion when ordering. I have had two incidents with the staff within the past year. When I questioned them about my order the woman turned around and started to speak in Spanish to another co-worker making me feel uncomfortable. At that moment all the employees were looking at me, so I left. I will never step foot in a low class, dirty, uncomfortable environment. I have had several poor experiences with this business. The prices are inaccurate, and when you question what you are paying the staff repeats the total and asks you to pay. Staff also speak little to no English, which is problematic when you have a question about the food or about the price and they are unable to understand and/or respond to your inquiry. Most recently, I went in for an everything bagel and to my surprise they were completely out! In fact, they had little to no bagel options available. The staff had offered speciality bagels as an option; however, I was not willing to spend extra on a bagel I did not want to begin with. The only options for "typical" bagel flavors were plain, poppy, and sesame (maybe 4-5 of each left), everything else was sundried tomato, blueberry, french toast, etc.; nothing similar to an everything. When asking how long for an everything bagel the women replied "no." Another customer had asked and she told them 45 minutes. 45 minutes for an everything bagel (which I like to believe is a common bagel option) at 10am on a Tuesday!!! This has been my last and final experience with this business. They never even provide an apology or explanation for their inconsistencies or lack of options. Good bye bagel bazaar. read more

This place was HORRIFIC. And the customer service was appalling. I went there 08/30/2012 on my lunch break. I ordered a turkey sandwich with a little mayo, onions, lettuce, tomato and a pickle. I also ordered a sandwich for my co worker a wrap. When i got the sandwich the lettuce was brown, the mayo tasted bad and plasticity and the turkey was slimy and runny. I took one bite and went to the woman who made it and told her that it did not taste right to me. She than rolled her eyes, and started talking Spanish, than i guess the manager came over he had dark hair, he said to me whats wrong with your sandwich i than told him i have got this sandwich before and this time it does not taste right to me. I asked for something comparable to the price or something else. He than said NO and that he was not giving me my money back either, he said that there is nothing wrong with the mayo or the turkey. I also was with a friend who is a regular there and he still did not care. He would not help me at all as well as embarrassing me in front of other customers telling me that i don't know what i am talking about. The wrap as well was WRONG it was made on bread without the peppers or onions included. I had an hour lunch and Wait 35 minutes for the wrap that was ordered the same time. I am appalled at the customer service I received as well as the cleanliness. Having restaurant experience if a customer does not like their meal and it does not taste right, it always gets taken back so you do no lose a customer and they do no get sick . I will never go here AGAIN and I am so upset over the way I was treated by the staff there as well HORRIBLE PLACE! read more
