They keep taking reviews down because they don't want people to know what's really going on. Where and who I work for I know everyone in town and we all talk about how bad it is. That's why their business is so bad. I'm about to get into a long-winded review, but I feel it's VERY necessary that I do and I'm about to explain why. I have been a customer for a very long time. About three months ago I had an important gathering for the judge and mayor in town. I wanted to order six trays of bagels and pastry boxes with boxes of coffee with Joe to go with it. This event was very important to me. On the day I called to place this order a young man answered the phone. I believe he's not only a worker, but a family member to the new owners. When I placed the order he was clueless on what came in the pastry boxes or how many bagels I supposed to get and when I asked for a price I got hung up on. He didn't even ask me for my phone number or for my name. He only got the date that I needed them for. I had to literally call back and give him my name and number and I told him my husband would be there Thursday to pay in advance for the Saturday pick up. Now mind you I'm already feeling uneasy about this situation but it only gets worse. Thursday rolls around and my husband goes inside to pay for the order and while doing so that same gentleman was there and was giving him bad vibes. The way he spoke to my husband was very unprofessional not to mention the place smelt of MJ ( pot ). My husband wound up not paying for the order because he felt uncomfortable about the whole situation but did pick up a couple of sandwiches. The sandwiches were made wrong and weren't even edible. After speaking with my husband about this whole scenario, we called and spoke to the owner the following day. I bought every single thing up to her. Not once did she apologize or even offer me discount. What she did instead was make excuses up for 10 mins on the phone. She was putting the blame on me and when I mentioned how the store smelt of Pot she had nothing to say. Now, a day later, I'm at the dollar tree store and I run into Anna who works there. I told her exactly what happened and she was more apologetic than the owner was and felt embarrassed. Knowing that I knew her and her family I decided to go back in and give it another chance. At least she seemed sincere. On Sat my family and I walked in once again to order breakfast. As doing so I realized how understaff they were but yet I still had to wait 20 minutes for 5 sandwiches. No one knew what was going on. The young Indian gentleman once again was working with no gloves on which Ive complained about in my 10 min phone call from before but then you had the owner slow as molasses on the register and I'm assuming her husband who was trying to take orders but halfway through would hand them off to somebody else because he didn't know what the hell he was doing either. It was a total disaster. I do not like writing reviews, but after this whole experience I felt it was necessary to share it with the the public as with the owners. Not that they care anyways and I know that from experience, but I will tell you one thing. I will never walk into that place again. I don't know what happened to that place and where all the good employees went too, but I do wish them all well and I completely understand why they're all gone. I walk in there and the whole place changed over and for the worse. It started with the new ownership last yr. They screwed up the bagels so badly they were all mist inedible. The young lady Anne was behind the counter working & I was told by her they were not going to keep these doughy things that they called bagels. Supposedly the baker went on vacation. I return a month later and yes the bagels sure did change. They changed them into half rock. Once again Anna told be that they were trying to get things back in track because it was obviously they didn't know what was happening. The old Indian lady " the owner" would stand there with her arms folded s Anna made excuses for her. Honestly the only reason I kept coming back was due to Anne always being so nice and helpful. I finally come back after some time and from the looks of everything the bagels seemed better they were def not the best in town but I supported the place because if the employees they had. Over time i noticed prices being jacked up absurdly and one by one the old employees were leaving. They started hiring their family members and things really started to go down. There was a point I wouldn't even walk in if I didn't see Anne behind the counter. I didn't want to deal with the nasty disrespectful owner nor did I wanna have that Indian kid make my food. Each and every time he did he'd mess it up, charge me wrong, and didn't wear gloves. I am so grossed out between the both of them. All the sudden I go back in there on a day I know Anna is working only to find out she was gone which I found to be a huge mistake on their part. Trust and believe half the customers only went there because of the staff. They are what made the place welcoming. Now it's like walking into a morgue. Every one is standing around doing nothing, they don't socialize with anyone, they look miserable, rude, and very unwelcoming. No wonder the place is always dead now. I've only been there once or twice since she left. I can say after my last time walking in there on Monday morning I'll absolutely never go back into that place again. The original cook who's been there for ever is now gone too. I know for a fact Anne and the cook would have me er of left that place unless there were some serious issues. I honestly don't know gore they're gonna stay opened. On a Monday that place didn't have one customer in the 15 mins I was there. It was never ever like that. I used to have to wait in line for 15 just to place an order. Ohhh and let me not forget to tell you the guys that were there in the morning were so scary looking. I thought the Indian kid was dirty which he was but this is on a whole different level. He hardly alone English. He has a heavy Arabic accent and he looks like a serial killer. Let's talk about how bad this place went down over the last year. For 10 years I was an everyday customer who stopped in for their morning breakfast before work and on the weekends I would take the family there not only to get their food but to see the friendly employees who worked there. Over the course of the past years they've changed ownership several different times and each time the place seemed to only get better except for this last year. The old owners who were Indian changed hands and sold the place to another Indian family. It wasn't and still not a big fan of the new owners which I'll get into more about but it was nice to see they still kept all the old employees which made the place feel wholesome with having well known local staff members. Over the last few months not only has the food quality gone from good to legit crap but now they let go all the original crew members. First they raised the prices so high it was a joke. Then they cut the portions down to make matters worse and what made it to where I actually stopped going into the place was how they hired this Indian guy who couldn't even take an order but screwed it up each and every time and when mentioning it to the lady who I'm assuming is the owner just stands there with her hand out waiting for me to pay without even acknowledging the issue at hand. There is no reason anymore for me and my family to go there anymore. There is no more hospitality, warmness, friendliness, or niceness when entering the place and the food isn't worth it either. Bagel I've noticed how they keep taking down all the bad reviews on Google. I write one a week ago and it's no longer showing. I also see other people complaining about the same thing. How sad it must be to be them that they have to take time out of their day to remove true reviews on how awful their bagel shop is? So sad So what I'm hearing is that this place is a one stop shop. You can get your marijuana and a bagel for the munchies. A Coworker of mine walked in a month ago and smelt marijuana and mentioned it to the owner and they tried to deny it. The whole place smelt like marijuana. I guess they allow the Indian boy to get high while working. Who knows maybe it's all if them, the owners to. Maybe that explain why my food was so bad . The turkey was spoiled . It had slime all over it. The tuna smelt like it was dead fish that laid out in the sun for five days before serving it. The cream cheese wasn't much better. I'll insert pictures so you can see how bad the food was. The place wasn't even busy, but I still had to wait 20 minutes because they're so understaffed. Pure laziness on all their behaves. You can't understand them because they don't speak any English. But only did they look gross and unwashed but the store itself was filthy. Absolutely horrible. The place is under new ownership and the new staff sucks. The food is over priced and customer service is horrible. They are all Indians now. I miss the old staff. I can't even place an order because they hardly speak any English. The last time I went in there it smelt of marijuana and when I mentioned it to the owner she stood there looking dumb. I heard I wasn't the 1st one to mention to her either. I guess they allow their staff to smoke weed in the store while working. It baffles my mind how they allow it especially with 3 school districts within ft away from them. Smh. All 3 times I went in to pick up my order the Indian guy behind the counter messed my sandwiches up. It used to be so different before they fired all the good help. This bagel shop has the worst customer service. you have the Indian lady who I believe is the new owner standing there with her arms crossed looking dumb as hell. She"s slower than molasses. Then you have this dirty Indian kid leaning on the counter on his phone. He talks as if he's slow. I never had someone make me feel as uncomfortable as he did when he was taking my order. He's calling me Poppy as if we were friends or something. He don't know how to speak to people. its very unprofessionals & uncomfortable!!. I should have walked right out when I saw how gross the place looked and dirty the employees look. You had a lady standing at register with her frizzy unkept hair, the Indian boy wearing no gloves and he too hair his crazy hair all over the place and facial hair to match it and then you had the cook handling the food without gloves as well. My stomach turn upside down after seeing it but yet my dumb ass still went ahead and placed an order. I decided to get 3 sandwiches. Bacon egg and cheese, steak egg and cheese with potatoes, and a cream cheese bagel. All 3 were horrible!!! The messed the order up by putting ketchup on the sandwich but there was hair in the cream cheese. Freaking hair!!! I almost threw up in my mouth. Poor service, unsanitary. Went here with my sister for breakfast. We got several bagels and breakfast sandwiches. The service took forever and there was only one other customer in the place. The workers in the back were talking nonstop instead of preparing the food and had to ask for clarification of what we wanted because they were so distracted. The place is not very clean either, there were many used napkins on tables. The food itself was fine, but I wouldn't want to deal with all of this hassle again and will probably go elsewhere. read more

First time here. Very slow service. I had to re-explain what I ordered multiple times. Bagels were meh.

Their bagels dont really taste like bagels, they made it like they didnt even try.
