I keep Kosher and having an option to eat out in Omaha is a luxury. The bagels are authentic, they even have salt a true NY flavor bagel. Solid egg salad and cream of mushroom soup. I go every time I visit, multiple times! If you want authentic bagels it's fresh and yummy. read more

I'm from Chicago and love a good Jewish deli bagel: thick bagel with heaps of cream cheese. But these bagels are amazing. I had the everything toasted with chive cc. They aren't huge like the bagels I'm used to, but the flavor was super on point and the bagel's texture was wonderful with a crispy outside and chewy center. tldr: I could have easily smashed two or three of these bagels. Bagel bin is wonderful I have been eating Bagel bin bagels since the 80s. They make real bagels and I appreciate that. One thing needs to be fixed though. Your chocolate chip bagels do not have enough chocolate chips you only put three chocolate chips per complete chocolate chip bagel. If you could fix this and make a proper chocolate chip bagel that actually has chocolate chips I would really really appreciate it. Looking for a little breakfast for the family that might be more local and found the Bagel Bin. The bagels are FANTASTIC. We got a dozen to go and our family loved them. I was in Omaha last winter on a business trip with a friend who keeps kosher. This is the only kosher bakery in Omaha. The bagels & lox were great. We made sure to meet at the hotel lobby every day at 7am so we could swing over to the Bagel Bin to get our 6 inch high bagel sandwiches (bagel, lox, onion, cream cheese). Food was very good, but the service was lacking. Went there with a friend. We were obviously together, as we were both asking questions about the menu to the staff and each other. They took his order and then ignored me. While I was waiting to order, an older gentleman came out of the backroom and right up to the counter where I was standing. He never acknowledged me, said hello, nothing. When I did finally order, the response was "Oh, are you two together?" I won't be back. The flavors went together perfectly and the bagel itself was amazing. My experience wasn't the greatest which is why I did not give 5 stars. I thought the employee could have been a little nicer, especially considering I was a first time customer. I had some questions about the menu and felt that her tone came off a bit condescending. Dr. Browns cream soda is the best, I grew up drinking it at a Jewish deli in Chicago and this is the only place in Omaha I can find it. This is a great alternative to Sunday brunch! read more

This was our first visit to Bagel Bin as we are die hard Bruegger's fans. Upon arrival there was total chaos behind the counter. There were 5-8 young adults talking amongst themselves and goofing off. Tables were not cleaned off and a lot of trash laying around on the floor, etc. One of the teens took out order and I had to repeat it back several times. I felt like I had just walked into romper room time. We proceeded to find a clean table near the front counter and watched the "show" continue. These kids were loud, inconsiderate and absolutely useless. They joked around and messed around the entries time we were there. Needless to say, we ate quickly and left. The best bagel place in Omaha and as close as you can get to a NY style bagel here (I grew up in NYC). I wish they carried tofu cream cheese (like many of the NY bagel places) but I just bring my own. I haven't tried their lox or nova and will seek that out on another visit. This morning a dear friend picked me up and we went to the Bagel Bin in Omaha for breakfast. The bagels there are to die for; authentically boiled before being baked, and you can taste the difference -- better than the Bagel Shop in Houston. I began to talk with the owners of this 40-year Koshered family business. I noticed that they had a sign up for hamentaschen orders since Purim is this week. I commented and they told me they make the traditional pastries by hand and that they do not keep them on hand. My friend and I went to eat our breakfast and a few minutes later the son of the owner walked over and set this basket with two piping hot hamentaschen in front of us, straight from the oven.
