Had a pretty fantastic experience here for Saturday brunch recently. They do require reservations in advance, which puts a $40 hold on your card. They were fairly busy, and honestly our food took a bit to come out, but I am still giving a five due to the overall experience and quality of service. Our server Melannie was fantastic and always present. We did the bottomless mimosa deal (3 out of 4 of us) and she was always coming around asking us what flavor we wanted next when our current was still half full to make sure we got our moneys worth. The champagne might not be the fanciest, but for $20 bottomless mimosas I'll take it. They have fun flavors in addition to the basic ones like strawberry, mango, etc. which adds an element of fun. For food--there were several things I was eyeballing but landed on the spicy chorizo Benny. It was really good, eggs cooked perfect, and came with hashbrowns. Another at our table got the poutine which also looked yummy. I'd say the food portion could have included a bread/toast option, however If brunching in Omaha i'd return to try several things on the menu. The vibe inside is chill, would be more fun sitting outside once the weather warms up. Since I was the one that booked the reservation, the tab got a bit confusing. At first they were taking it off my total, then the server said that hold would come off so I paid for my meal/drinks there. I did end up getting double charged (for both the reservation hold and my meal) which was cleared up with a quick phone call to their establishment---apparently it is a new process they are trying. I do understand though why they wouldn't want to just deduct the hold as then people that don't know how to tip wouldn't tip on the total, which hurts the server. All was cleared up regarding this mishap though so no complaints. read more

May 25th, 2026 Food: Waited a whole hour for an easy order... which was a mini charcuterie board with a plate of avocado toast... when it was served... it looked pretty and at first I didnt mind about the long wait, but I was disappointed because it tasted like it was made an hour ago but was barely being served to me a whole hour later.. so yeah.. not worth it and now I do mind.. a soggy toast isn't on my list.. Ambiance: It was a nice regular refreshing bar/brunch spot. But safety was a HUGE issue which is where I'll get to my point of this low rating. Service: Is negative zero a thing? That goes to the owner... the 1 star is for the decent service my server attended towards me. In unfortunate events it's not the servers fault.. but overall with the owner coming out, couldnt be anymore careless.. The Cause: Either the owner or a staff employee whomever that is responsible for setting up the patio umbrellas, and I mean those large heavy metal patio umbrellas, well, they failed to lock the pole of the umbrella and unfortunately the umbrella lifted and blew away and had hit a family in the face that were dining there also; instant noticeable bruising to the face... I was only a table away from them.. it could have been me too. I am disappointed in the lack of care in general that surrounded the scene. Little 5 ft me... was the only one that came to help while everyone else sat around and minded their own business... it took a long while until one of the staff noticed to help and then the owner came out and awkwardly said a one word-sorry and dipped... didnt come back to offer any hospitality, non-genuine and non-apologetic... it made me lose my appetite. They had the audacity to still charge the family their meal... but I had to tell these really nice folks to make sure they get comped back. It was sickening to me on how careless they were treated. I would never come back! I mean an exaggerating long wait, cold soggy food and careless hospitality from the owner himself. That's three major strikes. P.s. That same wknd.. the news showed up about a South Carolina woman that was struck by a patio umbrella and died on site... that says alot about lacking safety. Yes, search it up. It's real news.. Hope this help improves the business alertness. P.p.s. And although I was disappointed at this dining-bar overall... I still tipped my server a good $20 as the situation was out of their control, my server was still attentive towards me. They all just need social common courtesy in empathy and hospitality. But anyways, my lunch ended with bittersweetness with the family that got struck, they comped my whole meal for genuinely being the only one that was concerned for them. I got the breakfast tacos. Corn tortilla, eggs, pico, queso fresco and an avocado crema. It was really good and satisyfing. The hash browns however, were cold and lacked color. We ended up having to wait over an hour for our food to hit the table, not including the wait time to be seated. Glad to report that Lula B's shines once more. A very good experience today with service and good. It had been awhile since our last bumpy visit. Restaurant is clean, however, expect louder than normal conversation indoors. We were pleasantly greeted and quickly seated. Clearly getting here before 10 AM on the weekends is a way to avoid extended wait time. The menu has been trimmed a bit and all the hits are still there! It's ok. I'm giving 4 stars because there wasn't anything specifically wrong here. But the food - it's just not very interesting, and like others have said, it's not hot. Fries and hash browns - these things need to be cooked better and served hot. The prices are on the high end for breakfasty food, and the charge for adding any items is kind of absurd. If you want to get eggs with your biscuits and gravy it's an additional $4.29!?! Or maybe some onion added to your omelet, $1.99. Weird. I liked that they had a selection of hot sauces and Heinz ketchup. Bottles were full and clean. Got an iced tea; it was bitter and unappealing. Ate there twice last week with my team. Lula B's has always been our breakfast spot when we're in town. Doubt it will fill that spot anymore. The first day we ate there the restaurant was pretty busy. I understand. We got there a little later than usual and the place was hopping. Took a while to get our food but it's all good. The second day?? We got there before they opened so all of the times I'll give I know are correct. They open at 7:00. We walk in and are the second group seated right at 7:00. From there time started to slow down. Nothing we ordered was off the wall or odd or hard to make. We got our food promptly at...........7:44. For eggs, pancakes, breakfast burrito and the like. We saw people who came in after us get seated, order, get their food, eat and LEAVE before our food showed up. That's NOT an exaggeration. Multiple tables did it. We actually went in search of our server to tell her we needed to know when we'd get served as we had a timeline to meet. Not only couldn't we find her, we couldn't find ANYONE. When we finally DID get our food, two things: we told her we needed the check then. That didn't happen. The second thing is TWO of the orders were............shall we say...........much less warm than they should have been. Bacon on one of the orders was almost cool at that point. The third order was nice and toasty. We deduced that said third meal, ordered WITHOUT hashbrowns, had indeed been made WITH hashbrowns and needed to be redone, all while the other two orders sat in the window instead of being delivered with an explanation. I saw one webpag reference new ownership. I'm not from Omaha so I have no idea when this took place or if it's the root cause of this fiasco but something needs to change or Lula B's isn't gonna be the breakfast spot for folks much longer. read more

Food: We give the food a 3.5/4 out of 5. The huevos rancheros lacked depth of flavor and was more-so flavored for the masses. The rice, refried beans, and meat were good, but I wanted more flavor. I had some company in town who wanted to visit sites in Omaha. One morning they decided to check out the Fat Putter mini golf course downtown and I suggested we look for a place to grab some food. We noticed that Lula B's was right around the corner. We parked in their pay parking lot on the East side of the building. It involves knowing your license plate number and a card number to give them a chance to collect. Anyway when we walked in to the restaurant we were taken to a table and seated, given some menus and asked if we wanted beverages. I stayed with water. When it came time to order I asked for Biscuits and Gravy and some scrambled eggs, which was an add on. I was asked what kind of meat I wanted "on the side", sausage patty or bacon. It seemed kind of odd, with sausage gravy, but I asked for bacon. Someone else had the same order and asked for sausage. There was an order of Chicken and Waffles and someone else had a cheeseburger (he basically had a cheeseburger for every meal he was in Omaha). The biscuits were likely a frozen dough that was baked in house. I know those can be good because that's how KFC makes them. These were okay, but on the thin side. The gray was also something that was "finished" in house so it was smooth and creamy with pieces of sausage sprinkled in. If I had asked for the sausage patty I could have cut it up and made it all a little meatier. The bacon and eggs were cooked well. The hamburger was somewhere in the middle of the pack, I was told, when compared to Runza, King Kong, the Alamo Drafthouse and the Cottonwood Cove Marina in Blair (reported to be the best). The chicken and waffles were very good, with a fluffy waffle and crisp chicken strips. It was a quiet and pleasant atmosphere and our server did check on us a couple of times. If you need a breakfast or brunch stop in downtown Omaha you can check this place out. read more

Absolutely loved our Lula's experience! We walked from our hotel and were not ashamed that the bottomless mimosas were the final detail to help us make a brunch choice. We sat at the bar and WOW that bartender...she was doing work! She was so attentive and so kind and we always had full drinks. Which is wild since she was also making the drinks for the floor as well as serving a full bar. She was amazing and I wish I could remember her name (it was Saturday 2 weeks ago!). The bottomless mimosas were of course Cooks but I can't blame them for the price and will 100% do it again if I'm back in Omaha. The food was pretty good for a mainstream brunch place. I do not add table salt to anything, but the hash browns lacked flavor. I had the breakfast tacos which were decent, but still lacking flavor. The spicy avocado was lackluster but the pico was good. My son ordered the big breakfast burrito. Someone else ordered the build your own burrito and the burritos were the same size. My 14 year old growing boy was expecting something much bigger. I'd suggest renaming it breakfast burrito and removing the 'big' from the title. My husband did really enjoy his chicken fried steak. The chicken fried steak and eggs, sausage served with the french toast, and the latte saved this review. If you're trying out Lula's, expect a wait for your food (40ish minutes), but go for the chicken fried steak if you're looking for flavor. Ranges from "safe" to adventurous. Good portions and my fave...breakfast most of the day on Sundays. Some of the items listed as spicy, I didn't really find spicy but flavorful...some of the other stuff wasn't labeled, but was flavorful AND spicy. However, let's be honest...it says jalapeño. If you're surprised that's spicy...that's on you. Location is Close in walking distance to some great activities. Might not be an easy spot to find if you're not looking for it on purpose. Blends in. We stopped at a Lula B's for breakfast when we were getting our daughter checked in her dorm for college. It appears to be a pretty popular place and they specialize in breakfast and brunch. They have a private parking lot behind the restaurant which is free parking. The atmosphere is very casual, and had a bar like feel. Service was friendly and fast. We started off with coffee, and then ordered the strawberry French toast, Belgian waffle (with strawberries extra cost), and the easy eggs, which came with two eggs, bacon, and toast. You can also add hashbrowns for an extra charge. We were hungry, so we ate all our food, but I would describe the food is being average. I was also surprised how pricey it was considering it was breakfast items, but the restaurant was located in downtown, so maybe that had something to do with it. Lula B's in downtown Omaha is a cute spot to stop and grab some early breakfast, brunch or even classic lunch! We stopped here on a Saturday and while there was a decent weight, it was well worth it. The service was great and hopeful and giving suggestions on what to choose. They also had a lot of great drinks on the menu offering everything from black coffee to Red Bull infusions. For food, we were not disappointed. The eggs Benedict with chorizo and the birria omelette or fun takes on a classic breakfast meal. Their classics such as the country fried steak, bacon, eggs, and toast were just as delicious as well. There is not great access to parking here but once you find it behind the building, there is a free parking lot that customers can use. My advice would be find somewhere to park downtown and then walk over which is the easiest route.
