    EVERYTHING BAGEL & DARK ROAST
    Daren R.

Absolute a great find within the secure walls of the JCC in Davie. This Bagel Boss has been thriving at this location for the last two years and provides fresh Kosher bagels, coffee and small sandwiches to the JCC members and the public. Well stocked wall of bagels including Plain, Whole Wheat, Everything, Pumpernickel, Blueberry, French Toast, Cinnamon Raisin and Sesame. The oversized bagels are well priced at $1.55 each or $17.00 a dozen. Online ordering is offered but in shop ordering was super quick with friendly chatty staff. The bagel dough is flown in from NY raw flash frozen and baked fresh ever morning by the bakers here in this little cafe. The Everything Bagel was super fresh tasting and well seasoned with a cream cheese spread. Starbucks coffee is offered at a self-serve drip machine with three different flavors which include Dark Roast Caffe Verona, Blonde Roast Veranda Blend and a Medium Roast Decaf Pike Place '71. The dark roast was strong and sweet. If you're not a bagel person they offer chocolate muffins or cookies as an optional treat. And for the occasional coffee snobs they have a few flavored teas from Teavana. We went to the cafe style seating area located just off the lobby that has several tables to enjoy our breakfast.

Located inside the Posnack JCC, this bagel shop seems pretty well stocked. Have come a couple times for TooGoodToGo and each time the staff has been pleasant and the bagels taste great. Convenient if you need bagels on your way out, if coming just for the bagels and not a member, it is a few extra steps to check in.

Bagel with Cream cheese, not worth the price so little schmear wouldn't order it that again.

Today the wife and I visited the place, sorry not impressed. I ordered a Bagel with Cream cheese, the cheese just covered the bagel thin line of cream cheese shame on them, wifed ordered Tuna on bagel, not stuffed all for $14.00 with soda can. The bagel was good, but not to take dozen home I'll stick with Einstein Monday.

Everything bagel with seasoning on both sides. This is an 8 1/2" plate for reference.

Located inside of the JCC! Great New York Brooklyn bagels and awesome staff! I believe they are closed on Saturdays due to Shabbat :)

Picked up bagels here. Good bagels, they add a lot of cream cheese, some may say too much and some may say there's no such thing as too much

Ordering online was easy, and pickup itself was quick and straightforward. However, when I got home, I realized that both tuna platters were missing the bagel chips--so essentially I paid $17 each for just two scoops of tuna. I called the restaurant and was told they were out of bagel chips. That explanation raised more questions than it answered. If an item is unavailable, why not notify the customer? A quick call, or even mentioning it at pickup, would have gone a long way. I would have happily substituted for a bagel or chosen something else. Instead, I had to drive all the way back to the restaurant. By that point, I was understandably frustrated, and the response at the counter didn't help--the staff seemed indifferent. They did replace the missing items with bagels, which I appreciate, but the overall experience was disappointing. I used to really enjoy Marian's under the previous ownership and was a regular customer. Unfortunately, since the change in ownership, the quality of service seems to have declined. We decided to give it another try, but this experience confirmed that it's just not worth it anymore. Disappointing, because this used to be a go-to spot.

We looked at the signs above to figure out what we would like. The person at the register appeared annoyed that we didn't know what we wanted. We placed our orders and she got upset when we asked about the size of the coffee cups and the price of the specialty bagel sandwiches which were not displayed. Our order of 2 bagel sandwiches & 2 drinks totaled $30. We normally tip very well but we were in shock at the complete rudeness that we didn't tip or 30-40% on this venture. When we went to fill the coffee there were no lids to fit our cup. We asked the woman at the register and she huffed while handing us the lid. I took a few pics of the area after it was "cleaned". When or bagels arrived, we were pleasantly surprised. The order was correct. The bagels were fresh. The sandwich was as expected. Not bigger, not smaller; just as it is photoed. They started sweeping after I took a few pics. The pile of straw (it wasn't but from affar it looked like it) was pretty big. Needless to say, I don't see us coming back very soon...

Everything I ordered was so that I found myself looking for something to criticize. Honestly, there wasn't much. My only real complaint is the limited indoor seating if you're planning to study or work for a while. That said, there are plenty of outdoor seats, and on a beautiful cloudy day without the usual heat and humidity, it's the perfect spot. The fries were probably the weakest item. They seemed fresh and healthy, but they lacked any seasoning or flavor. Everything else more than made up for it. The ambiance and aesthetics were fantastic, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The customer service was outstanding as well. The young gorgeous woman at the counter was incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming, greeting everyone with a genuine smile and everyone else's kindness Overall: 100/100. I'll definitely be coming back.
