Ive been eating here for about 9 years. The food is simply ok. Nothing to rave about....its OK. The bagels are very good, soft, fresh and chewy. Coffee is good. Lox and herring are tasty. Pastrami is ok. The staff is very friendly and courteous. I think they changed ownership a few times. Problem I have is with the menu pricing being NON-transparent. First time was in Coral Springs some months ago. I can't recall the exact pricing since being a few months ago, and I just let it slide at the time. The Lox, cream chz and bagel on the menu was substationally lower then when the bill came. Nothing was mentioned by server. Cashier had no explanation. No adjustment. I most recently had another menu price incident which prompted me to submit a review today. Recently visited and ordered a side of turkey sausage with my eggs. Menu price is $2.50. Bill comes and price is $7.59. Big difference. $5 more !! No explanation. No adjustment. No apology. This is totally pathetic. I may have to rethink eating here anymore. Very bad behavior. read more

Went in for an early breakfast around 7:30am, and there was plenty of seating. I personally like the separation between sitting service and to-go. Bagels come with a decent amount of cream cheese which is great, considering the price. (You could buy a whole bag of bagels at the grocery store for the price of this one bagel.) But $7+ for 3 slices of mediocre bacon.. absolutely not. (I was told it was 4 slices) and even if it was, still 100% not worth the price. Definitely choose your items on this menu wisely! read more

When it comes to this place I'm glad I got a good recommendation for it because otherwise I never would have known this existed. It is very easy to miss but once you know it's here you'll want to keep coming here time and time again. The staff was very friendly because as soon as I opened the door I was greeted and for this trip I decided to just grab some bagels and take a look at their various cream cheese spreads they have to offer. The place was very clean and well lit and everything looked to be very up to date with nothing being run down or broken. The bagels in the front were the first thing that greeted me and I'm not sure if it was just an off day or not but a handful of the bagels were already missing and it was only nine in the morning. I'm not sure if they were that amazing or they were just out from previous times. I decided to get a handful of bagels and some locks cream cheese spread. I will say the one thing I did not care for it was not being told about a credit card service charge of 3% so that kind of irritated me a little bit for my first visit. When I got home I decided to try my everything bagel and let me say it was amazing. After popping it in the toaster The Bagel had the perfect crunch and it was a nice size. All of the toppings made it very tasty and nothing overpowered one another whatsoever. The lox cream cheese I got, which was a quarter pound was about $3 if I remembered correctly and I had more than enough for all four of the bagels I got. There was a very nice amount of fish in there and the cream cheese had the perfect creamy consistency. The fish was also flavored wonderfully and not too fishy which is something that I am very happy about. The price overall for the four bagels and cream cheese was about $10 including the credit card fee they didn't tell me about, which again irritated me but for the price it really isn't a bad deal in my opinion! Parking was easy directly in front of the business. Came in today to grab some fish dip for my wife. The owner was super cool and provided me some fresh white fish dip at $5.00 for a quarter pound - fish prices are crazy everywhere. The salmon filets, kosher pickels, and cole slaw looked phenomenally fresh but the big black & white classic cookies were calling my name. They obviously offer bagels with a large variety including whole wheat, marble, everything, multigrain, cinnamon raisin, onion, garlic, pumpernickel, blueberry, oat bran, sesame and egg. I love bagels and decided to check out the options at this place. Well, it was kind of disappointing. They didn't have much variety, the atmosphere was super old, the menu was huge and quite expensive. I ended up buying 7 bagels, garlic, onion, cheese and bialy. They all tasted normal, nothing out of the ordinary, and they need to be eaten fresh, the next day they'll be as hard as rocks. I also bought the Lox cream cheese, which was delicious, I definitely plan on going back there just for the cream cheese and not the bagel. The service was also disappointing, the girl who served first didn't seem very interested in serving me and the man who came after served me so quickly that it seemed like he wanted me to leave right away, for a place that was empty I don't think he needed to rush so much. I vary rarely ever rate anything. I try my best to first seek out a point of contact to speak with the leadership, who was unavailable today at the Coral Ridge Dr location and they provide ZERO contact infomation on their website, which to even communicate with the Leadership when there is clearly a problem with service. That being said. I've repeatedly visited the restaurant, only to be denied one simply menu request: Hash Browns. Instead, I have forced to take the home fries, that have been left burning all morning and are hard, old and burnt to a crisp. This is most likely because they overkill in the early morning with making a heaping pile of home fried potatoes and want to justify it by only providing it as an option for breakfast in the final hours. The toast and bagel was brought out a good 15 minutes ahead of the breakfast order, so cold toast with a thick smear of butter on both slices, almost as if it was done out of spite. We arrived at 1pm. Got one cup of coffee and was never offered a second cup. When I asked for another, I got a reply with "We don't have anymore at this time". Yet, there was no hesitation in bringing out the check before we were even done with breakfast. My wife and I literally felt like we were being rushed out of there, so they can close at exactly 2pm. This because the lights were being turned off throughout the restaurant and were wanting to clear tables as we were still eating. I suggested to the cashier that if they wanted customers out by 2pm, they should post a closing time of 1pm to facilitate this. His response? "We don't push people out at 2pm". When I brought up their not having any coffee, the home fries when asked for hashbrowns, to name a few things. He got irritated and said "I'm done talking" and walked away. I've been to untold number of restaurants, where up thru the final minute before the posting closing times, they were providing the same service that would be expected at anytime the restaurant was opened and gave customers a sense of wanting them to actually patronize them well after closing time, if they arrived before closing. The service and attitudes of the staff at the Coral Ridge Dr Bagel land were such, that for the First time in the decades of visiting the franchises, I left without leaving a tip. The service received by the young male server and staff was really that bad. It was the final straw of my ever wanting to again visit a Bagel Land franchise. I will be driving a little farther than I usual do to go where I know I will feel like I am wanted there, even until the last minute of closing and even a little after closing with the offer of one more cup of coffee.. read more

BAGELAND Long-time employee Samantha Lesser let me in on the secrets of the newly improved Bageland burger -- it's a HUGE 8oz (I'm thinking it is cooked weight) of lean beef, on a brioche bun, with fresh lettuce, tomato, and Bermuda onion. Cooked PERFECTLY medium rare to order. The fries are outstanding, seasoned well, nice, and crispy. You WANT this burger, and you can get it at all three Rob's Bageland locations (Coral Springs Wiles, Coral Springs Lakeview, and Plantation). Other news: Under Scott Botting, the new owner, they've completely changed all of their meat suppliers, including moving from Carnegie to Sy Ginsberg/EW Grobbel/Leon's (Detroit), which makes a huge difference. I have given them 3 tries and now 3 strikes - you Are OUT ! They good bagels but customer service is awwful. I've been there 15 min before closing only to get bagels to go and 3 times I was turned away . Last time the door was locked at 1:45 ! And the guy who I believe is the owner just waved no at me - I'm sorry but either change your signs or change your hours and don't advertise incorrectly. I was shopping in the area and stumbled upon them at lunchtime and I am so glad I did. The atmosphere is a no frills diner with seat yourself booths and tables. The large menu features savory chicken, tuna, and egg salads, premium deli meat sandwiches, homemade soups, corned beef brisket, stuffed cabbage, knishes, and a customer favorite, matzo ball soup. They are well known for their New York-style bagel with their crisp exterior and soft, chewy interior. Everyone here is so friendly. I never had an empty coffee cup or had to wait more than a moment for anything from my cheerful server Rosemary. For lunch I ordered the Reuben and was presented with a sky high sandwich piled with corned beef. It was so delicious and the steak fries served alongside were fantastic too. It was more than I could finish in one sitting. It is easy to see why Rob's is well liked by locals. Amazing how the attention - or inattention - of a server could affect one's perception. We've been to this location before and had a very pleasant experience. On this day, however, we were left seriously devoid of the same experience. When we arrived, it was clear that they were just getting over the breakfast rush, as there were no cleared tables available. My wife and I sat at the one that was the least dirty. Within 5 minutes or so the table was cleaned around us. 5 minutes later, our server took our coffee order, saying she'd bring us silverware. She came back about 5 minutes later, taking our breakfast order - Eggs Benedict for my wife, and corned beef has & eggs for me. She left. Still no silverware to stir our coffee. 10 minutes easily passed by. Every time she was within eyeshot, her head was down, and eyes trained to the floor. Finally we grabbed attention of the busboy, asking him for silverware. 30 seconds later our server unceremoniously dropped several napkins and a bunch of silverware at the side of the table. My knife had a big stain in the middle of the blade, which should have been easily seen and replaced. A few minutes later our order arrived. She put my wife's oatmeal on my plate, and my grits on hers...a very minor detail by any normal stretch, but by this time, every detail stood out. My grits were hot, but lumpy. Wife's Benedict was fine. My hash and eggs were lukewarm at best. the next time we saw our server was when she dropped off the check. No follow-up to ask how everything was, no offer for a second cup of coffee. She made a couple light attempts at humor, which My wife responded to...not me. I was so done at this point. There is another Bageland, located in Plantation, where the service, attentiveness, and quality far overshadowed the one at Lakeview. It's a pity that the same restaurant could be so different. We'll continue to frequent Plantation, but will not go back to Lakeview. read more

We tried going somewhere else but there were people waiting outside and decided against it since my husband was very hungry. There were only a handful of tables taken with customers when we arrived, but when we were leaving there were a lot more people. We ordered coffee which was filled constantly by the staff. I ordered the Elvis French Toast which was made with Challah French bread dipped in corn flakes, filled with peanut butter and topped with strawberries, caramelized sliced bananas and powdered sugar. The best bagels in south Florida! I feel like a lot of the bad reviews are about the service, and I will say, it's not the quickest. And most of the time it's kids behind the counter. But it doesn't bother me. I come in and order my bagel and wait 10ish minutes and then get to eat the best bagel I've found in South Florida. So no complaints here! I didn't even realize how much better they are than everywhere else until I was up in west palm and went to Brooklyn water bagel, where I used to go when I lived up there, and it was actual trash. I have been going to various locations of Robs bagel land for years. Everything is always fresh and you get service with a smile. This morning my wife got eggs, coffee, bagel and oat meal. When we first started going there that same breakfast was called the 99 cent special. It's not still 99 cents but it's still delicious! I had a deli skillet which was also delicious. I now live in Vero Beach and you can't get a nice bagel shop breakfast here so I especially appreciated it. If you're in the area, stop by. You won't be sorry. read more
