Very disappointed today drove over 30 mins to get sable and when I went in I was told that nobody know how to cut it. How can you sell a product and not have a staff that can cut it. I just paid $4 for a bagel with vegetable cream cheese. The bagels aren't bad but their way overpriced. The vegetable cream cheese looks no different from regular cream cheese but with a few minuscule specks of carrot and scallion. read more

I have been going to this place since I was kid when my family lived in Long Island and even when we moved out. Jericho Bagel Boss has made many changes along the years, but what they never forgot was the customer service. The main guy, Benny he's a character that knows everyone and a charm that everyone loves. It seems that guy never goes home. My family has ordered and continue ordering catered item for all major Jewish holidays, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Wedding and they even do Shiva calls. Their food is out of this world, especially when you see steam coming off the freshly cooked bagels. My favorite scene is on a cold winter day,you see the storefront all steamy and you come in and the "bagel boss" smell hits you its like a sign of relief. Bagel boss is a place to sit an relax while enjoying delicious kosher food. I have and would recommend Bagel Boss of Jericho to anybody. This place is the best, Benny runs a great crew. On weekends when there is a line out the door, Benny's counter people always have a smile and are laughing. They have lite music playing the background and they take multiple people's orders at one time to ensure the line goes smoothly. We have visited the Bagel Boss in East Norwich & East Northport which are wonderful. Unfortunately, this one on Jericho Tpke in Jericho bordering Westbury was horrible. The bagel & flagel we got tasted along the line of Lenders food store bagels. Now if I eat a Lenders bagel it is what I expect but I do not expect this quality from a Bagel boss which charges $1.25 a each. I am hoping this was a off morning for their sake. Not sure if we will risk another visit as the taste is still in my mouth :( read more

I hate to say this and bring negativity but this is the worst bagel store! They never listen, they are extremely rude, and your order is always wrong or is disgusting with egg shells in it or end of the bread or tomato stems! I rather drive so far out of my way from now on to get a good less expensive breakfast with nice customer service. What a shame. read more

I have been a regular customer for 8 years. I have found that their selection is unmatched by any other bagel store. Plus their customer service is top-flight. When one of their staff sees me parking my car, he begins making my chopped salad. Management is constantly looking to upgrade the furnishings and making it easier for customers to see the flat screen TV and get coffee and soup. I work down the road from this location for 20 years. I've been going there for a long time. Lately, 4 out of 5 times my order is incorrect. This is most likely do to the fact that the employees do not speak English very well. They seem like hard workers, but can't do the job correctly. It is very disappointing when you're expecting one thing and get another completely different thing. Today, I ordered breakfast and lunch. Both were wrong. In addition, the garbage pails outside were spilling over with garbage, people were putting there garbage on the floor. This was at 7:30 am so it was probably there from the day before. There's also a woman who hangs around the parking lot soliciting people for money. It's really annoying. read more

I just paid 15 dollars for a tuna bagel sandwich that was fair at best!!! the price jumped from 7.50 to 9.00 because I asked for a flat bagel which is cheaper than the regular bagel it normally would come with....OK? I also had a drink that was 1.50 not bad. So how does it become 15.00. here's how ....THE LETTUCE, TOMATO and ONION that I asked for on my already 9.00 sandwich was an additional charge of 4.50.....!!!! What the heck is going on in the minds of the people in charge over there. I was absolutely disgusted!!!! I got a plain bagel and asked for a very small amount of butter and jelly on the side (I probably got less than an ounce of both combined)and they charge me three dollars for the bagel. Possibly the WORST iced coffee I've ever had. I stopped here this morning because my usual place is having construction done to it and I was shocked at how expensive my medium iced coffee was when it is probably a little more than 8 oz, and it tastes AWFUL. It tastes like it has been sitting at the bottom of the pot for days. They didn't even have half and half or french vanilla creamer to make it better. read more

I want to express to you my extreme disappointment with a recent experience at Bagel Boss in Jericho. First I have been coming to bagel Boss at that location for more than 15 years. The quality, freshness, and taste of their food is what has always brought me back. On Sunday Nov. 18th I brought my seven year old Son in for breakfast. We ordered 1 plain bagel with a "smear" of egg salad, one with a "smear" of plain Tuna, one bagel with a small side of tuna, a small cup of coffee, a Snapple and Vitamin water. I was shocked to see that I was charged $32.00. I cannot believe that they charged $7.50 for three tablespoons of tuna or egg salad on a bagel. I did not receive a side salad or a pickle...simply the bagel with a small amount of salad on it. I checked the prices with surrounding bagel stores and the same sandwich would run between $3.79 and $4.99, and yet they charged me $7.50. If I had gotten the bagel and a pound of tuna in a cup it still would have only cost me $5.50. How can they justify $2.00 more simply because it was on the bagel? Also if I would have gotten two fried eggs on a bagel it would have only been around $3.00. Is it less work and expense to fry two eggs then it is to scoop a bit of pre-prepared egg salad. I understand that their food is Kosher, but come on! I am sorry, but I could have taken my son out for a pancake breakfast, or even a cheese Burger at a local diner for half that price. When I called to speak to the owner who said his name was Max, he was very rude and insulting and all he did was justify the insanity of his pricing. Because of this I along with my family will not come again. Perhaps as "Max" said...they are so busy, that losing my business wouldn't affect them, but I truly believe that every customer counts and personal experience and word of mouth goes a long way, and is ALWAYS the best advertisement. read more
