I recently visited the new Goody's Bagel & Spread location and everything exceeded my expectations. The orange juice alone was the best I've ever had in my life fresh, perfectly balanced, and honestly unforgettable. They have such a wide variety of unique breakfast sandwiches that make it hard to choose, everything sounds better than the next. But the real winner for me was the lox bagel. Been going to this bagel store for years under a different ownership and decided to try the new owners. When I came in the line was out to the door. I've never seen it like this. The store was clean and organized. The staff was busy, friendly and fast. I ordered an egg bagel with scallion cream cheese. A simple order that was divine. The bagel was fresh and soft. The cream cheese was decadent, tasty and a generous amount. The pricing not bad for less than $6. Lucky for me this place is in my daily travels so I'll be coming back frequently. read more

SInce Goody's took over the spot it is hands down the best bagel in town. The bialys are on point and the Cheddar bagel is to die for. i've been back several times since grand opening and each trip hasn't disappointed. The slaw has no flaw, and i highly recommend it. Greg and his staff are a well oiled machine. The wait time was non existent and it looked like a ballet behind the counter as they moved without error. I just had a really disappointing experience here. I went in to order a sandwich that I custom as something I enjoy and was excited to eat. As I listed the ingredients, the woman taking my order made unpleasant faces, clearly judging my choices. Then, as she turned to prepare it, she started speaking in Spanish to another woman employee, calling my sandwich "horrible" and "disgusting." First of all, I'm paying for my food, and I'm the one eating it, what I choose to order shouldn't be mocked. Second, I understand Spanish, so I caught every word. That kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but incredibly disrespectful. Beyond bagels. Theres nothing beyond the bagels here thats good or worth ordering . Sorry -_- I've tried everything from their salads to heroes and paninis. Even muffins. My advice : stick to the bagels. Been ordering from here for years and i am quite happy with their bagels only. They advertised on Christmas 2019 they would be open until 4pm so i decided to order breakfast from them. Whoever made my bagel was probably pissed they had to work because my bagel was burnt and inedible. Other than that. When you order your bagel either with butter or jelly. Make sure to specify "light" butter or jelly otherwise you'd be eating butter w bagel instead. Oh yeah you can text your order in advance for pickup. DO THAT. I ordered a soprano which is pretty much an Italian. What I recieved was an Italian on a roll which was the size of an egg sandwich. Never have I ever seen an Italian on a roll...always a hero. I was really in the mood for a scallion cream cheese bagel and just ended up in the neighborhood for the pet store. I was elated to see the bagel store but I can for fill that desire as well. The ambience of the store is nice and set up well it's very inviting. However my biggest complaint is that the store seems holy overpriced. For example, I bought a 4 ounce bottle of orange juice, which cost 3.50. The total for the bagel and juice was almost &9. In addition, while I wanted my bagel toasted, it was over-toasted and slightly charred. Overall, I did enjoy it but I think that the cost was out of line with the market. Very impressed with Beyond Bagels. Exceptional all around. Found them on Yelp while heading early to an appointment in their area. The establishment is large, nice looking and very clean. Separate eating area from counter/ display area. Plenty of tables and seating all either near a window or close to one. I ordered an egg sandwich. They prepared it exactly as I asked. The one bagel I had was very good and all the others looked good as well. The woman who took and and rung up my order was extremely pleasant and very nice. I also spoke briefly with one of the owners (Rob) to let him know how I found his place ( as another business owner who keeps track of how people find me) and told him I was impressed. We recently had some time to kill while waiting for some test results for our daughter so came in to get a cup of coffee and a bite to eat. There were a lot of people around 9:30 in the am so we ended up with just a cup of coffee. There are plentiful signs on the walls to ask you to pay for your coffee BEFORE going to the tables, a sign that they can't handle the counter crowd. I waited and waited but eventually sat and waited for the crowd to subside before paying for the throng of people to thin before parting for a pair of coffees. If there are signs and ..... I'm writing this, there ought to be a clue that : 1- this needs to be addressed 2- there has to be a solution to the problem. Get rid of the signs and devote someone to handle the coffee-only crowd. You might be used to the chaos; the rest of us are not. Some of your clientele just come in for coffee- ( your highest profit margin item) Be careful not to marginalized them. Listen. The staff here is super friendly. The food has always been amazing. I'm particular to the cold salad selection. Common, yes. But they make it awesome. I would also say It was busy and I received exceptional service and super speedy as well. The sandwich was delicious and they use Boars head meats. I would definitely go again if in the area. We need to come to a consensus on what veggie cream cheese is supposed to look and/or taste like. The bagel itself was good, I was there early enough so the service was good, but the veggie cream cheese had chunks of bell peppers in it. Big chunks! Bigger than my thumbnail. Food is good but extremely overpriced. Place has totally changed! They skimp you when you order something that qualifies as a sandwich. For example, a tuna salad sandwich or bagel is supposed to come with a free side salad and pickles. Well, they almost never give you that unless YOU ask - yet charge you all the same (~ $15). Not only are their bagels so good, so is their coffee. Sometimes they have homemade donuts that they put out which are also so good. The people here are SOOOO friendly!!
