    Huge bagel with chicken salad
    Carla N.

I found out yesterday this place was fairly close to my office. I love Bagel Nosh by my house. It's the only place my family & I will get bagels from. I've been trying to find places other than fast food for lunch. It has to be quick. Being able to order online is perfect. I placed an order online for pick up about 10 minutes before 11:00. I selected ASAP & it said 11:30. However, I received a text at 10:56 my order was ready. This was a little annoying there was such a difference in the time it would be ready. It was also annoying that the site I had to pay a fee to pay. It was less than a dollar, but still annoying. This location is bigger than the one by my house. There were multiple people inside sitting & eating. There were 2 people in line order before me. There is not a pick up area. You have to wait in line to get your pick up order. I ordered the chicken salad on a cheese bagel with Swiss cheese toasted & regular potato chips. The cheap were very responsibly price at $1.49. The bagel was $8.99. with the 10% tip & fee the total was $14.47. The bagel was great as always. The chicken salad was okay. For almost $15 for a sandwich and bag of chips, I'm not sure I will be back for lunch.

"What do you deserve and is also a type of bagel? Everything!" ― Laffy Taffy It's April Fool's Day and you'd be the real fool if you don't nosh these bagels. Love me a good bagel sandwich. Whether it has breakfast goods inside or a heaping amount of salmon, I enjoy me a good hefty bagel sandwich. On my inaugural visit to Bagel Nosh, I ordered a Nova Lox on a tomato basil bagel with a caramel frapp on the side. It was an absolutely delightful way to start my Saturday and if you saw on my Yelp check-in, I was encouraging others to do the same, haha! While I was sad about the previous business closing, this "new" business (Bagel Nosh has been around for a while with three locations now) delivers a five-star product. Come here for some breakfast!

If you are looking for NY style bagels, this isn't it. If you are looking for gigantic bagels that are on the softer side, this is your place! We got here in the afternoon and there weren't a lot of bagels left to choose from but we snagged the last chocolate bagel and also had a Swiss cheese bagel, both with plain cream cheese. They've made a few changes in the space from the previous business. I am generally not a fan of TV screens in restaurants because my kid only focuses on watching TV instead of eating or having conversations if there's one at an eatery. However, this TV screen had some Star Trek TNG playing so I'll give them a pass. The bagel was good! It was lightly toasted, and generously slathered with a rich, easily spreadable cream cheese. I enjoyed both the chocolate and Swiss cheese flavors. In addition to bagels, they also offer croissants, danishes, smoothies, and coffee drinks just to name a few other items. Service was friendly.

What's a bagel's favorite planet? Mars, because it's a little toasty. Ah, Bagel Nosh. My workplace had catered a nice spread from Bagel Nosh recently and my mind was overtaken by all things bagel related. A couple weeks went by and I came to realize I lived close to this location. Let's go! I enjoy it all. Blueberry bagels, jalapeño cheddar bagels, the everything bagel, swiss bagel, et cetera. All good eats. I like this location. They have a single self-ordering kiosk machine, a display showcasing all their delectable bagels, and they make some pretty good frapps (I've had white chocolate and caramel so far). I found my new favorite bagel spot.

The bagels from here are soooo good! They're big, soft and fluffy. I ordered a baker's dozen (23.99), half baker's dozen (14.79) and day old bagels (4.99). The baker's dozen comes with 14 + 2 cream cheeses and the half comes with 7 + 1 cream cheese. I had the option to choose my bagels or the staff can select a mix. They have a Chongo bagel where it was like an everything bagel with cheese on it, best of both worlds - yum!

Tucked in the back corner of the retail center, there is ample parking for Bagel Nosh. Menu looks the same as the Chandler location. Interior is clean and large with ample seating both inside and outdoors. The curb menu reads curbside pick up, but there's no info to pick up and no website on yelp, so I wasn't sure how to order. They have a self serve order kiosk or you can order at the counters lots of bagel and cream cheese flavor options. The menu outdoes itself. Basic drinks like coffee, tea, soda are self serve. There were quite a bit of pick up/delivery orders coming through while we were here. They have a stack of games and books for entertainment. Their music kept glitching which was annoying. Otherwise, I think we've found our new go to bagel spot!

So the first time I had went we were going out of town and I dropped off a pocket cake for my sister in law that lives in Buckeye. She said she absolutely loved it. I never got to try it. So i went a second time to order it again and was told they don't have any. Okay...great. So i did a comparison with other places that have similar size tres leches cakes available such as: food city, frosted bakehouse, hunnie butter, crumbl, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and a tres leches cake i made. I'd rather support small businesses to be honest. So was really hoping to snag a cake from here. But not a full size because this was merely for experimenting purposes. Why get a full size when you aren't sure if you are going to like it?? So i posted about our outcomes on my foodie instagram page. The business told me to try the pocket cake but I already am fully aware but was told by the man working that day they don't have them. Which wasn't the same as the ladies working on my first visit. So now i almost want to try calling around to other locations regardless of how convenient this location is being across from my son's school. Just hoping for a pocket cake and better service because service was non existent my second time. Like would have been nice to have any kind of information like oh sorry we don't have them today but try next week or we won't ever have them again try another store???

The mug was really cool and AZ themed, so I had to get it. I picked out some of the cake slices as well as some baked goods! When I arrived, they were out of the Berry Tales on the floor which are my favorite. I asked if they had any made in the back and it turns out they'd recently made a fresh batch and were letting them cool. Assunta got me a couple of those and then helped ring up my order. She was very very nice and gave me an extra slice of cake. When I mentioned they were for a birthday, she also gave me some candles and birthday chocolates to put on top. There were so many options that it honestly took me a while to decide what I wanted! I really liked the self-serve bakery concept because it lets you browse at your own pace and pick out whatever catches your eye. They have a great mix of both sweet and savory items, along with an extensive drink menu featuring both hot and cold beverages, so there's truly something for everyone no matter what you're craving. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and flavorful. The pastries were light and delicious, and the drinks paired perfectly with the food. You can definitely tell they take pride in the quality of what they serve. The only thing I'd mention is that they don't accept American Express. It wasn't an issue for me since I had another payment method, but it's something to keep in mind before visiting. Overall, this was a fantastic first experience, and I can definitely see why so many people recommend 85°C Bakery Cafe. I've been here once so far and honestly, I'm not just a fan. I'm an air conditioner! I'll admit that on that Saturday that I came across Don Guerra, I had originally went to another bagel shop that was sold out of bagels two hours before closing. I was disappointed as that place wasn't nearby. But this place, Don Guerra Bagel & Slice, is so close to home that I'm embarrassed to admit I should have came here sooner. - Slice Potato & Onion Pizza Combo ($11.00 - Olive oil, sea salt, mozzarella and parmesan cheese, red onion, potato, rosemary, honey drizzle. Option of salad, chips, or wheatberry salad): We got this with the wheatberry salad and a 20 oz cold brew to wash it down with. As someone who loves a good potato pizza, this one right here... oh my gosh. It even beats another place's potato pizza from a local cidery that I truly love. Get this. GET IT. - Jalapeño bagel with lox cream cheese ($6.00 - 85% whole grain sonoran wheat flour, sourdough leavened and no added sugars or oils): I heard the lox cream cheese was really good with the rosemary and salt bagel by one of the staff members but I couldn't pass up a good jalapeño bagel. And honestly, this bagel was perfection. Had I been in a skirt, it would have flipped over how good it was. - 6 Pack of Jalapeño Bagels ($18.50 - 85% whole grain sonoran wheat flour, sourdough leavened and no added sugars or oils): The bagel I got was so good, I had to order more for the week. I enjoyed the heck out of these for the next few days. - Chiltepin Cream Cheese ($6.50): As soon as I saw "chiltepin," I was sold. A Chiltepin or Bird Pepper, is a wild, hot pepper native to the Americas, often considered the ancestor of cultivated peppers. It's a perennial shrub with small, white flowers and tiny, red, very spicy berries that are dispersed by birds, and it thrives in warm, sunny conditions with well-draining soil. My grandma and parents use to grow them and I didn't realize how good I had it until I tried looking for my own chiltepin plant to grow. I can't find any so I guess I'll just have to come here for some cream cheese. - Chocolate Cherry Loaf ($12.00 - Only sold on Saturday and Sunday): Yum yum YUM!!! There's another local bakery in town that makes a chocolate cherry loaf but it's seasonal to Valentine's Day. Here at Don Guerra's Barrio Bagel & Slice, you can get it all year-long during the weekends. GET IT! - Sourdough Starter ($0.00 - FREE!): I was not a sourdough girlie during the pandemic but I've always been curious. Will this survive? We'll see. They have a helpful laminated sheet that teached you how to take care of your starter. Make sure you take a picture of it if you're attempting to start it. They're open daily from 7 AM-3 PM.
