Many times, your favorite bagels may get sold out, so get there early. Note that on the weekends close at 2 (or earlier if it's a holiday), while the weekdays it closes at 3. It helps that repeat orders and visits can build towards discounts off future purchases. Been going to Terrace my whole life and it's always been the best bagels around! This week I did a catering order for the first time and it was amazing. As soon as I pulled up the staff was ready and carried everything out to my car for me. And the amount of food given was incredible! i'm originally from new york, moved to jersey about 10 years ago now. terrace bagels is the only place in my area that even remotely compares to the beauty that is a new york bagel. the wide menu variety they have here is truly spectacular, but the service and the quality of the food itself really makes this place special. even just a plain bagel is tasty here, and it's really nice that they have a bunch of spread and cold cut options to spice things up if you wish. this is the only place i get my bagels from. the staff is always friendly and no matter how crowded it is in there, orders are efficiently served quite quickly, even on the busiest saturday and sunday mornings. i usually get takeout, but the few times i've sat and ate in the cafe were lovely. always clean and comfortable. i would highly recommend!!! read more

In an effort to try new bagel places in the area, I stopped in one late morning. Really liked the amount of space this place has. There were a decent amount of tables to sit down at and enjoy a quick breakfast or lunch. Only had to wait a couple minutes for my order, so the staff is very efficient. I got a sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese and my boyfriend had a whole wheat bagel with bacon, egg and cheese. The bagels were truly perfect. Fluffy on the inside with that perfect crunch on the inside. They gave me the right amount of cream cheese too; the perfect glop. I appreciate when a place gives you a lot of cream cheese. Really nice fluffy bagels and yummy stuff BUT really uncoordinated in a rush. Placed an order online, waited through multiple multiple order call outs. Asked once and on the second time my order was under the counter, never called out. I got home and the French toast bagel I ordered was made to be a cinnamon raisin. I know they run out but usually call out to the customer and ask the preference on a different bagel they have made. TLDR: good bagels, but each time I go back the experience gets worse. read more

Call it growing pains. Call it stubborn management. Sometimes it takes a while to figure out a business. When Terrace moved to their new location, there were a few quirks, which, fortunately, they've addressed. They still have issues, such as too many people in line and the store is too small to handle the influx of people. The fact of the matter is that Terrace sets the standard for bagels in the Freehold area. I find some of their prices outrageous, such as $10.50/lb for chicken salad or $2.40 for a medium coffee. But, then again, a bakers dozen of bagels is $11.30 so it isn't all bad. About those bagels....large, fluffy, crunchy crust. There is barely any hole in the middle because these things are huge! Also, their everything bagel has more than sesame and Poppy, and they have egg everything. Their selection is fantastic and the bagels rotate quickly so that they are always fresh. Unfortunately they haven't figured out the "Terrace Experience". The line to order is long and there isn't a lot of space to stand so its uncomfortable. That line, by the way, goes from the front of the store to the back, then curves around and comes back towards the entrance, which makes the people eating at the tables uncomfortable. Honestly, I wish I could get half the money that walks out of here because of the line and poor experience. The bottom line is this is the best bagel you're going to get in Freehold, hands down. If you want to wash that bagel down with coffee and not pay through the nose, the McDonald's across the street has award winning brew for a buck a cup. If you like butter on your bagel, tell them not to overdo it or you'll be scrubbing it out of your upholstery after it leaks out of the bag. Nice people, awesome bagels, mediocre experience. Love them or hate them, you're not going to get a better bagel anywhere else in New Jersey. read more

Really need to train staff consistently. I'm standing next to someone getting a dozen bagels. He orders the wrong bagel because the sign was wrong and the guy puts an Asiago bagel in the bag. Customer realizes a mistake and says he wanted the "other one", a French toast... so he gives it to him for free because he touched the other. I get a dozen bagels and think, hey, guess you can get the special bagels in the dozen. It's not until I'm in my car that I realize she canceled the dozen order, 13 bagels for $16.80, and charged me individually for each bagel with an up charge for the "special bagels". Would have been nice to say "there's a charge for those". So not only did I not get the 13th free for bakers dozen, I paid $22 for the bagels. Looks like I'm better off hitting one of the other places on route 9 closer to my house than going to what I thought was "the best". Bad form. read more

Great little breakfast spot. I pulled in and it was packed, but I ordered and got my food still in a timely matter. Staff was friendly at the counter and the guy taking my order was positive, even though the line was wrapping around the dining area. I ordered a multigrain bagel and the low fat Scallion cream cheese and that jawn hit different. They did absolutely load it up with cream cheese though, so if you don't like too much cheese, definitely ask for like CC when ordering. Their nitro cold brew is also really good. Wasn't bitter at all and went down like how a smooth draft coffee should be. If you are dining in however, seating is a bit limited and the dining area is loud with the kitchen and other patrons. read more

Always love stopping by here before going on a trip to grab a quick and delicious breakfast. Cost: The breakfast bagels are worth the cost! Environment: The restaurant is very homey and the locals definitely know that this place is great because there's always a line. The bagels are fresh and everything is just so delicious. UPDATED: Terrace Bagels has moved to their new, nicely designed location next to Burlington Coat... still the best bagels!! My Sunday tradition of buying bagels here took me to their new location about a mile away in the Burlington coat shopping plaza. An absolutely beautiful interior awaits you, and still central Jersey's best bagels! The loyal customers had no problem finding this new location as their usual line ran all the way down the store. But no one minds waiting, as the line fast and you get the best bagels in the Freehold area. The coffee is also great here too. Plus they have plenty of prepared foods, salads, and other yummy selections. The layout of the new dining area is very sharp and nicely appointed, unfortunately it is much more cramped than the old location. But in fairness the old location used to have a restaurant next-door which did close so they had more space for seating there. Still if I'm going to eat an omelette there I really don't want to have to bump elbows with a stranger. But I have to say, no one cooks eggs or an omelette or any of that breakfast food better than here! I would love to meet the cook some today... But because the bagels and coffee and everything else they sell is so darn good here, I just can't subtract a star from my favorite breakfast joint and Sunday bagel stop! Still 5 stars for me!
