Outstanding bagels and cream cheese!! Took my kids and girlfriend and was very pleasantly surprised. My GF and I both had the Spinach and Garlic bagels with light veggie cream and my kids had sesame with plain. Both kids immediately commented on how fresh the bagels were. They were absolutely right. Sadly the same can not be said for the coffee. Not undrinkable...but needs improvement to get the fifth star. That being said....the price was more than reasonable and I will be back very soon. read more

Their bagels are quite good, but everything else is probably best left untouched. When ordering at Bagel Time, you can always count on that warm fuzzy feeling you get inside from their rude indifference at the counter; the thrill of knowing that there is a higher-chance-than-not that they are out of your first choice bagel/sandwich filling and you will have to make a last minute substitution; and always--ALWAYS--the multiple flies buzzing around everywhere, ready to greet you with a delightful grooming session right on top of your food! Be warned that their religion is the Credit Card Minimum Purchase, so if you just want a bagel, make sure to bring a sufficient offering of Cash. I've been here more times than I can count to meet up with a friend for lunch (always at her suggestion). I've gotten sick a couple of times. I can't really say I recommend them, but if you just pop in for a bagel and leave, it can be pretty good. read more

Amazing bagels. I always have jalapeno cheddar and garlic cheddar gourmet bagels from here with variety cream cheese. Bagels are nice crunchy from out and soft from the inside. Never been disappointed after eating here. Their plain bagels are also really good and they sell fresh cream cheese. I definitely recommend this place. read more

Bagels are clearly made fresh daily, and they are absolutely delicious! However, they don't write down orders, so it's kind of a gamble as to what you're actually going to get, but at the same time, it's definitely going to be good regardless. They're lattes/coffees are not very good, so I wouldn't suggest getting your coffees there. it's kind of a messy place, still have christmas decorations up. there's always a line out the door and the kitchen is always overwhelmed. I go simply because it's the only solid bagel place around. just have to give up a few luxury's to get a good bagel! read more

The spinach garlic bagel with scallion cream cheese is the closest thing to a full body orgasm. It makes your breath smell like hell but it's completely worth it. I'm taking off one star because my order got screwed up a few times. I was going through a vegetarian phase, and they gave me the bacon scallion cream cheese instead of the plain scallion. Delicious bagels.. Unfortunately one time I was here I got a bagel sandwich & found a gross black hair in my food. I realized these things can happen so I went back again, this time I ordered my usual, poppyseed bagel toasted with salsa cream cheese and drove away. I later realized they gave me the wrong cream cheese, bummer. Then today I went there to give them one more chance and I ordered my usual and the woman behind the counter said, $10 minimum on debit cards. I said, is that even legal? She dismissed me with a shrug and moved on to the next customer. It was beyond rude. She didn't direct me to the ATM next door or ask if I wanted anything else. Needless to say I won't be going back. This place has gone downhill since they changed management. Hopefully I can find another yummy bagel place nearby. Full disclosure, I'm 7 month pregnant & hungry, but c'mon give people a break. The bagel was exemplary. I mean, honestly one of the best lox bagels I have ever had in my life. Awesome. The coffee on the other hand, was horrific. I got two lattes and they weren't only watery and somehow tasted old and burned, but it took 20 minutes for me to get them. I threw them both away. Best bagels I've had in Worcester. I confirmed that they boil their bagels before baking them which, if you didn't know, is the proper way and explains why a great deal of bagels outside of the NY Metro area aren't good. They lose a star for their breakfast sandwiches, bacon egg and cheese was incredibly bland, and they blend their lox cream cheese, giving it a strange flavor compared to cream chease with chunks of lox in it. read more

Walked out without buying anything. Wow, have they gone down hill. Their sandwich menu was covered with tape for all the items they weren't selling at 12:30 last Thursday. I asked if they had chopped liver (it was on the salad menu although I had been turned down in the past as they said they were out of it). I was told they only have it for the holidays. I then asked for whitefish. I was also told they didn't have that. Both were listed on the menu. I chose to leave hungry. An elderly patron was leaving with plain bagels who told me that she always finds like today that they claim they are out of pumpernickel and marble bagels. Sometimes she said they are out of plain ones too. I have been coming here since they first opened and they were my best bagel shop to come to. Not anymore. It's hard for all business during covid time but that shouldn't excuse them from following rules to prevent spread of pandemic. You basically have to hand over your credit card as payment. Two problems with that: physically spreading covid to other ppl (the workers literally handle all of the credit cards), security (who knows what they do with the cards in their possession). Bagels are ok, not worth the risks of getting Covid or loosing ur credit card numbers. read more

The food here is excellent, with many bagel and spread options. However, the whole $10 minimum for credit purchases needs to go. Most credit card fees imposed on businesses are about 3% on the high end. That's $3.00 on a $100.00 purchase. Legally you can impose up to a $10 minimum, but why? Every time I come in here the line is long and I see at least one person walk away from a purchase. I myself have as well. Today a customer walked away from an $8.50 purchase. What's better? Losing $8.50, or saving $0.30 on a $10.00 transaction? Come on. If it's breaking the bank that much than make up for the fee loss in your prices. No one is going to notice 10 or 20 cents added to certain items. read more

I've been here 3 times. This is the second time they didn't have plain bagels. They also didn't have croissants OR BREAD! The line is always out the door. And the times they've had what we wanted it was ok; nothing special. I waited in line for 20+ minutes and ended up having to leave because they literally had nothing either of us wanted. Located on a busy street, this place is surprisingly busy. They have such gorgeous looking bagels and smears and cookies and such to choose from. A bit overwhelming in my opinion unless you get an opinion before hand. I'm a real sucker for smoked salmon so I went with that on a toasted onion bagels loaded. When making the order, I was greeted by one of the two rude women taking care of the orders. I spoke to her and I don't know if she couldn't hear me or if she she couldn't understand me (weird because I don't have an accent). Once the order was made, I walked around just admiring the place with the decor and the edible nidbits they have to offer whether it being catered or just to buy. Once the order was done, the other rude lady shouted am order out. I hesitated because I was the only person without food and not sure if she was making my order. She shouted again and have me a glare once I figured it was mine. I hesitated because it was on the wrong bagel. Once I headed out and ready to eat, I realized they were extremely cheap with the lox and cream cheese. $8 and some change for 1 slice of lox, a light layer of cream cheese, thin sliced of tomato, lettuce and onion. I was floored! I've been to many delis that make this sandwich for the same price and more of a bite and less attitude. I swore myself I'm never coming again. I've been going to Bagel Time for years and the bagels are delicious but the older female staff members have been so rude the past few times I've been there. Today I was there at 11:30am, I asked for a dozen bagels and was told I could only order 6! There were bagels in the bins and not only did they refuse to sell them to me but one woman asked if I was "trying to wipe them out"! On a previous visit I want 12 bagels bagels plain or poppy and the server told they were out and I should have called first to order them. I frequent Bagel Time at least three times a week for a plain or spinach garlic bagel toasted with scallion bacon cream cheese. I've tried a variety of the other bagels & cream cheese flavors (of which there are many interesting choices) & have been pleased with everything I have tried. They also have great hot & iced coffee, smoothies, sandwiches, soups & baked goods. The service is always friendly & fast, & they always get your order right.
