Bagelissimo is an Italian deli of a bagel shop, showing that cross cultural alternatives can work well. The shop in a fairly new strip center on Rt. 206 North, has a decent layout for eating in or taking out. They offer a fair variety of bagels, muffins and sandwiches, although the rounders are a bit denser than I prefer. My onion bagel, butter and swiss had good flavor, plenty of dry onion flakes, and a lot of chewability. A few air pockets here and there would have brought it completely home for me. Service was prompt and friendly. Prices about the best I have encountered recently. My sammy went for $2. I am sure the manager saw my double take. I dropped a buck in the tip basket out of appreciation for my wallet. read more

Four stars for the bagels. Take it from an ex-New Yorker and a bagel snob these bagels are awesome! I've brought these into work in the NYC metro area and wowed everyone. Yes. They are that good. Now don't expect a NY hand rolled bagel. These are different. They are crispy on the outside and light and airy in the middle with just the right touch of chewiness. They also sell very good muffins. On Monday you can get a bakers dozen of bagels for only $6.99 which is what I did today. The place always seems to be empty but the grill cook is working on egg sandwiches and such every time I go there so I assume they must do a lot of business with breakfast orders. I haven't tried the sandwiches but from the looks of the grill and ingredients I bet they are great. Stopped here randomly on my drive from my parents farm on way back to NYC. There was a line inside of happy people excitedly talking about what they were going to order. the line moved fast and we got some tips from loyal customers in line. The breakfast sandwiches were fantasti! the cheesesteak was fantastic! even the coffee was great! The prices were also great! Unfortunately this place is another example of poor selection in this area.. Since we moved here from Hamilton 5 years ago we have given this place a few chances here and there when we heard it may have improved. This was the last time though. Kept it simple - PE&C on a bagel and a breakfast burrito. Received the wrong bagel for the Sammy, there were only two thin pieces of pork roll and the eggs were overcooked and dry. The dry theme continued to the burrito. For 12 bucks we could have had better takeout from a diner. I understand the Covid issues but other places have kept up their standards quite well. I'd rather drive 25 mins round trip then settle for subpar local food. I'll stick with Caesars. read more

Awesome little family owned and run shop. Stopped by for a breakfast sandwich on our way to the Turnpike at my daughters suggestion. It did not disappoint! Freshly baked breads were waiting to be made into hoagies and subs. Large assortment of freshly made bagels with all the toppings you might want. As a nice option they have a mexican menu that sounded pretty darned good as well. Primarily a take out place but there are a few tables and chairs if you prefer to eat there. I would completely agree with fellow yelper Stewart on this one. Living in the area I was here a few times at first but nothing has overwhelmed me for being top notch. The subs are just ok. The cheesesteaks are on a hard bread. Italian hot dogs arent bad but not enough meat on 'em. Their trademark bagels arent bad either, but definitely not great. Its just.. ok. I am a bagel fanatic. The bagels here are homemade, fresh, and have substance. Not like the rubbery bagels at hilltop. These have crust, a bit of a crisp crunch and a nice dough underneath. Their everything bagels are TOP notch as are the onion, and salt. The others are good too, but these three are stand-outs for me. I have had their sandwiches too, short hogie, again crisp crusted bread with substance. It ain't no wonderbread wawa dough. It's that artisan kind that is hard to find. The Spicy italian is always good though they will custom make one for you. I don't "get" the poor to average reviews. I am guessing they are looking for wawa corporate mass produced products and have never had good homemade before. I work nearby and stop in relatively frequently. Been going here for bagels since they opened. It's convenient and the bagels are good. They've always been unorganized and often, if the older woman waits on you, they are rude. She can never complete one task and runs around like she has the most stressful job in the world. After this morning, I will never go back. I went in at 7:25, ordered a toasted bagel, a sandwich and half dozen bagels. She picked the bagel I wanted toasted, then proceeded to clean the grill. When she was done, she forgot where she put the bagel and went for another. She then put a couple bagels in someone else's bag, returned to the toaster with the second bagel (I only ordered one), put the bagel in, picked up a bowl and three eggs, beat them, took an order over the phone, proceeded to yell at the grill boy, took out ham and onions, for the phone order, all the while my bagel was now sitting there getting cold. I moved to the grill and said, never mind on the sandwich I have to go. She then picked up my bagel and started to put cream cheese on it. She then asked the man behind me what she could get him. He told her she should wait on the people in front of him first. When she came over to the counter with the bagel she had just wrapped, still in her hand, she got all confused because there were two wrapped sandwiches or bagels sitting on the counter (which she carried over in one of her 10 trips from the grill to the counter). She said to me, uh this one is yours. No kidding! I just wanted to get out of there. It was 7:45! When I said I still wanted the half dozen bagels, it was effort for her to get them for me. NEVER NEVER NEVER again. She is rude everytime I've been in there. Besides the man who made the comment to her, there was another woman behind me shaking her head too. How are they still in business and why would they let her work with the customers. If I was that grill guy, I'd have walked out based on the way she was yelling at him! Don't waste your time or money. Yes, the name is cool, but our experiences there have not been. Since they are not far from home, we have given them the benefit of the doubt time and time again, but that was our mistake. The food is Ok. The service is Ok, from all but ONE employee, who is continually nasty. However, over the last few months, they continue to get our orders wrong. They also BURN the bagels when you ask for them toasted. Something so simple, but is not done right. The bagels are wrapped up and we don't see them until we get home, but more times than not they have been burnt to a crisp and they go right in the garbage. What a waste of money! And they are not close enough that it is worth getting back in the car to drive over again and argue with them.
