Bagelmakers in Laramie is a popular local breakfast spot for (as the name suggests) bagels and sandwiches. I took a pit stop for breakfast one morning on a drive to Cheyenne. I wasn't sure expecting much for bagels in Wyoming but I was pleasantly surprised. The fresh made bagels were delicious and had a nice flavor. In addition to that they were also reasonably priced. The service is good and the girl at the counter was friendly. The store is clean and has a simple layout. I would return on my next time going through Laramie. read more

I had my whole family from NY here for July 4 and New Yorkers know their bagels. I picked up two dozen for breakfast!! My family loved them!!They were super impressed. Loved the doughiness of the inside; nice crunch on the outside. Way to go Bagelmakers! Best bagel in town! read more

I think businesses like this need to take account of the climate they're located in because with living in a very dry climate bread items can get hard and dry out extremely quick. They need a better storage system that's not leaving the bagels exposed for that long. I love bagels and they do taste really good here. However several times i've gotten one it's been rock solid and all dried out. Stopped and got one today and wasn't even edible it was rock solid. Do better at storing them! They're not something that can be left out that long in this dry climate! read more

I am not the type to leave reviews or point out mistakes that employees make because I've worked customer service and I really do get it. However almost everytime I go to this Bagelmakers they mess up my boyfriend and I order. They switch the meat that goes on each bagel and they always forget the extras that we are getting charged for. Theyve messed up so many times that I will absolutely not be going back. read more

Called this place on the phone to ask if they had bialys. The person who answered the phone said yes, so I walked about a mile to go get some. But when I got there, I was disappointed. There was one person working the entire shop, and she was unmasked just as the Omicron variant of COVID-19 is surging in Laramie - a danger to herself and others. I tightened MY mask, waited, and after a 10 minute wait finally got to the counter and asked for two bialys. What kind? She said, looking toward the bagels. Turns out that this person works in a bagel shop but doesn't even know what a bialy is. No, they didn't have any. But this clerk wasn't competent enough to tell me so, so I walked a mile for nothing. At that point I just needed to get some food, so I asked for a couple of bagels and paid and GOT OUT OF THERE BEFORE I GOT COVID. Brought the bagels home and they were mediocre and apparently a day old. My advice: If you want bagels in Laramie, go to Safeway. They make bigger, tastier, fresher ones. The bialys? I usually don't have high expectations for bagels outside of the New York/New Jersey area, but I was VERY surprised and pleased with Bagelmakers in small town Wyoming! Didn't try the hot sandwiches, but the Everything and Sesame bagels were soft and delicious! read more

Walked in and walked out. No college student employees wearing masks. They smirked at us when they saw we were disturbed.

The bagels here were a pleasant surprise. For me, the litmus test of a bagel shop is "do they salt their everything bagel" and, "do they use pretzel salt vs kosher salt". The answer to both of these is a resounding "yes", and to their benefit. I ordered a salt not toasted with low fat jalapeño/ roasted red pepper cream cheese. The bagel was slightly under salted but had a nice flavor. It wasn't "gummy" as bagels can be. The center was soft and slightly chewy. The cream cheese had a nice flavor with some serious kick from the jalapeños. (I speculate they used fresh peppers rather than canned as it didn't have the pickled taste which would accompany canned peppers) My buddy ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything. The everything had minced onion and garlic rather than the popular powdered variety. Again, a welcomed surprise. The only negative - the sausage. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't good. It was fairly mild shed something with a little more kick would have been more appreciated (but that's a personal preference. For the masses, I'd guess this is fine) Overall, it was a fine experience. Best bagel I've ever had? No. Not by far. Good enough to warrant a return should I be in town? Yup. read more

Our choice of bagels was a great experience for a quick afternoon bite. My son an I met a good friend I hadn't seen in awhile. Making the trip to the bagel shop even better. Our enthusiasm was greated with a smile and patience. My son picked his normal for home bagel with cream cheese, lighly toasted. Perfect! I choose to take a generous bag full of bagels home for the family to enjoy. Overall with chocolate milk and kind good "buys", a reunion conversation; this was a great experience. Bagelmakers is lacking in consistency. Each time I go the service and quality are extremely variable. Luckily I go often enough to know which employees under toast, over butter, or skimp on ingredients to prevent some bad bagel results. Stick to the simple things, and though they serve Seattle's Best coffee, don't have high expectations! read more

Excellent place for bagels, coffee and a quick breakfast. Open early and reasonably prices. Bagels are always fresh and they have an excellent selection of different flavors. My favorite is the NYC on the Wyoming Herb bagel. Also, if you are wanting to pick up bagels, you can go for the day old bagels on the counter. They are cheap and still tasty! read more
