    Cute little downtown place

We came for a work dinner and they seated our large group right away. We all loved this place, even the die hard meat eaters. Our server was great, kept everyone happy. I would go back anytime!

Vegetarian food in Laramie wy. Who knew? Great full bar and vegetarian dishes and desserts all in one place.. feels line a saloon from the 1800's with a modern menu. Not a vegetarian, but I really liked all the dishes If you're vegetarian, there really aren't other options in Laramie

My husband and I came in on a Friday around 6:30 PM. We waited about 30 minutes to be seated, which made sense for a busy local spot, but the service once seated was painfully slow. After getting dropped off two waters, it took forever for the waitress to return to take our order. The food was a mix of a total hit and major misses. We started with the Buffalo cauliflower wings, and they were fantastic--super flavorful, perfectly crispy, and honestly the best I've ever had anywhere. Unfortunately, the entrées fell completely flat. My husband ordered the Portobello bánh mì with garlic potatoes, but the mushrooms were barely cooked and lacked seasoning. He will eat almost anything, but he couldn't even finish it. My black bean burger was also super dry and hard to get through. To top it off, when our food arrived, our soda glasses were completely empty. We asked for refills immediately, but it took at least 10 minutes for our waitress to bring them back. We wanted to order dessert, but after waiting so long for basic check-ins, we didn't want to risk sitting there for another 20 minutes. It's a small place and clearly popular, but the slow service and lackluster entrées ruined what started as a great meal with those cauliflower wings.

Who'da thought that in the Beef State you could find such a good vegetarian restaurant? Sweet Melissa's makes meat an afterthought. Started with Buffalo cauliflower that had the crunch of the genuine article but a sweeter taste that meshed with buffalo sauce and gorgonzola dressing. Also, a terrific Greek salad with good falafel and dipping sauces. Mexican salad was also very good, but they could go lighter on the olives. Felt satisfied without being stuffed when we left. Very lively crowd for a Wednesday in July. Warm and attentive service as well. Who needs beef when veg will do?

DELICIOUS!!!! No complaints at all. We ordered the queso, broccoli stir fry with noodles, chick'un sandwhich and the burger. Everything was so good! The service was friendly and fast. We will definitely go back when we are in town.

I really had a hard time with this rating. I'm going to say this is a high 3 for me ultimately. I'm on vacation in Denver and decided to drive up on Memorial Day & was pleased to find a vegetarian/vegan place that was also open. So I ordered the vegan Ruben (with seitan), a side salad (with vegan Greek dressing), a Bloody Mary, a kimchi pancake, and a piece of chocolate cake for dessert (don't judge me!). I think I'd have been happy with just the Ruben, though. The Bloody Mary wasn't that great (just not great depth of flavor) and I didn't care for the kimchi pancake (I'd never had one before so maybe it was just me). The side salad was weird - I've never had a side salad with whole baby carrots & celery pieces (think the size you'd put peanut butter on), a lemon wedge, and whole slices of tomato, just not great? I also got the wrong dressing (I thought it was wrong but I'd already poured it on my salad). The chocolate cake wasn't anything spectacular but it was good (add raspberry sauce). So the Ruben - it was really really good. I chose seitan and vegan smoked provolone. Not sure why the dressing came on the side but there was plenty to spread on. Bread was toasted nicely, just an overall delicious sandwich. Service was alright, not super helpful when I had questions about menu suggestions or enforcement of the 2 hour parking but he (mostly) got the job done. Plenty of inside seating, some outside seating (if you don't mind the occasional train across the street), and a bar area. Would I come back here? For the Ruben - all day long - and to give some of the other desserts a try.

Great time at this restaurant with a large party. The service was excellent, and everyone was so friendly and helpful.

Reuben with seitan as the meat substitute. Three bean chili. That Reuben was the best I have ever had.

The services was slow and the food was blah. It's a dark and dingy. I am not sure why this place is so popular. We won't be going back.

My husband had the turkey basil cheddar sandwich on homemade bread, and I had the very generously portioned Bombay spinach salad. They were excellent, the service was prompt and attentive with a smile, and we said, afterward, that we would make a point to come here every time we go through Laramie, which is usually two or three times a year. However, another element of our experience set this establishment even higher in our estimation. Following our lunch stop, we were about 3 hours and 150 miles north of Laramie when I discovered I was missing my purse. I remembered I had slung it over the back of my chair at the deli, thinking, "Don't forget this!" and I DID. It had my wallet, driver's license, credit cards, cash and passport inside, and we were on a road trip from CO to WA, where I would be for a month. Couldn't exactly come back to get it too easily. I called, and one of the staff confirmed they had found my purse, and it looked to be intact. Well, long story short, they sent it to my destination in Seattle, Priority Express Mail, and they wouldn't even let me pay for the costly postage, let alone give a gratuity to the person who so kindly took time to box and send it from the post office. I was just floored by this above-and-beyond service -- not to mention the relief I felt, knowing that all my important financial means were in that purse, for nearly a month's worth of traveling. Thank from the bottom of my heart to this wonderful team. I am so incredibly grateful to this kind and caring staff, and I recommend their food very highly, too! Be sure to stop here in Laramie. We will certainly be back!

Upon having a beer at Blacktooth Brewing a block away, we asked the local staff and they highly recommended Anong's. We didn't know that we would be getting such a great experience moments later. Service was wonderful from the start, seated quickly with menus in hand. The waitress waited until we gave the nod to order and came to address us. I suggested noodles for my mom since I have had plenty of Thai when I lived in Portland, OR and that is a safe bet. She ordered the Kee Mao with combo protein little bit of spice. Dad ordered the Panang curry with pork spice level 3 I stuck to the Pad See Ew noodles with chicken. We all were very impressed with the flavors, quantity and perfection on the spice level to what we ordered. Oh, and it came out in less than 5 minutes but it was piping hot, like what? I mean come on, this is exactly what we needed on our trip. I practically had to roll out of there. My mom got half of her meal in a to-go container but dad slurped his bowl of curry dry. If you're considering Anong's for dinner just go please. Experience the authentic flavors!

The food itself was below average, but what really stood out was the poor service from a waiter with long hair. He seemed inexperienced and inattentive. After we finished a shared dish, he cleared not just the serving plates but also our personal plates without asking. We had to ask multiple times for basic things like utensils. He also appeared to pick and choose which guests he wanted to serve water to, ignoring others at the table. When we politely asked for water, he seemed annoyed, and even placed items on the table with unnecessary force, as if to show displeasure. At times, his facial expressions made it clear he was not happy serving us, especially when we spoke with an accent. That felt very unwelcoming. Despite the service, my uncle still left a generous tip because he didn't want to give 0 at any restaurant, but we left with a bad impression. I truly hope this staff member gets retrained. If you're working in hospitality, basic respect and professionalism should come with the job -- no one should feel like they're being a burden just for dining in.
