But when Garlicky Chicken Shawarma was removed, it honestly changed the experience for us. We've tried the other chicken options, and while the flavor is still good, the texture has been fatty and gristly. It just hasn't hit the same way. We still think CAVA is great overall, but we've definitely reduced how often we come in since that change. I was surprised, though, by how dirty the place was and to see the plastic Covid wall separators still in place between booths, but it stops pesky kids from staring at you over the neighboring backside. LOL! The shakers of salt and pepper and Parmesan cheese were greasy and covered in fingerprints. The napkin holder was gross. The floors could be cleaned better too. I guess off season means relaxed standards? Our pizza wasn't cooked enough in my opinion. The cheese was not fully melted and the bottom of the pie was soft and doughy and a little soggy. We asked for extra cheese and extra sausage but Kelsey only heard xtra sauce. It wasn't bad and the ingredients were good but it could have been better. The place appears to need a facelift and deep cleaning. Lots of wear and tear is obvious. This place needs some love.
