Stopped by on a farmers market Saturday. What a cool place! The line looked long but moved super fast. We were pleasantly surprised. We ordered the salt bagel and avocado toast. PLEASE order the whole wheat sourdough bread. INCREDIBLE. Some of the best avocado toast I've had in a while. Especially in south central WI. The iced vanilla latte was perfect and tasted exactly how I would have expected. My friends got the breakfast burrito and it looked HUGE. Considering the dearth worthy competition they are a 10 out of 10! They give you the bagels, and then you toast them yourself, which is great with me, because I like mine double toasted. High-end grass fed butter too. I can't overstate the importance of having access to a good bagel place. Before my wife excepted a job in Rockford, I made sure that there was a bagel place nearby. Went here on a Saturday for lunch and were surprised that there were actually bagels available to try. In the past when we had been here at 10am, they were all sold out. It was a pretty calm environment for lunch with options of tables to sit at. Someone was quick to take our order at the counter, and the food was ready by the time we paid! Highly impressed for ordering a hot sandwich. We ended up doing a make your own sandwich on the multigrain bagel with turkey, gouda, and lots of veggies. It was a very impressive stack by the end that I felt like I had to unhinge my jaw to get my mouth around. It was quite tasty however. The only thing I wish is that the bagel could have been toasted and the cheese a little melty. It also came with a pickle spear and an M&M oatmeal cookie. We also got the ultimate chicken bistro sandwich. There was a lot of pesto on it, but it shockingly wasn't very oily. There were also nice chunks of chicken and vegetable, but was surprised by the cauliflower and broccoli. Overall, it tasted very good and it also came with a pickle spear and cookie. Then, to try more of the bagels, we got a cranberry, multigrain, and the new apple cider bagel which seems more like a donut. Hoping the sweet bagels will be just as good as the savory. read more

There's typically a cloud of confusion when talking to these workers, all but the older blonde who seems to be the owner or manager, so customer service isn't bad but it's not great either. I once got a grilled cheese that literally took them 20 minutes to make and wasn't completely melted when we got it. When I ordered it, the girl looked at me like I was silly and actually asked me if I wanted it hot or cold. WHY WOULD I WANT A COLD 'GRILLED' CHEESE?! Another time I ordered a BLT & the bacon was so hard and chewy it was painful to eat. Today we got egg salad sandwiches, hence finally writing a review. There's almost nothing on this, and one side of the bread was soggy. The other side was a weird sized end piece. This sandwich is like $8! Do better. (The sweets & Mac N Cheese are literally the only reason to come here until they up their game a bit.) read more

Omnis, vegetarian, vegan, gluten free. + I appreciate that they use re-usable silverware and place settings, so it's not adding to environmental damages. + They have art for sale! Even if you're not buying any, at least you can look at it all you want while you're inside! + The employees are extremely nice and patient. + Everything I've had so far is absolutely delicious. Cons: - The hours. They are only open until 3:00pm on weekdays, and I think 2:00pm on Saturdays? That's sooo early for my lazy butt! Hahaha. - They're online menu isn't the same as the in store one, but that's not that big of a deal. I had the most delicious experiences at Bagels & More during my visit to South Beloit! I went with my family for breakfast and ordered their salt bagel with olive cream cheese and wow, was it good! As an olive lover, I was SO excited to see the olive cream cheese and it did not disappoint. It was one of the best bagel combinations I've had! The inside is nice and there's plenty of room to sit. When we went, it was super busy and staff member who took our order was working hard but not super friendly. I totally get it because they get busy and I'm sure it's stressful. It was a bit chaotic because several different people were trying to take our order and seemed to be confusing each other. Either way, they did a great job and we appreciated them making some delicious food for us. Overall, a great and yummy experience. We will definitely be back next time we are in Beloit! read more

Nice place to stop and get shelter from the cold Wisconsin weather. I got a drip coffee and a cranberry orange muffin. My muffin was excellent! Sweet but not too sweet with the right amount of citrus. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for baked goods! Had the wrap, it was loaded with Ham & Turkey, you pick what veggies you want on it (reminded me of subway, but upscale). The menu I seen online has a Gyro as an option. At the cafe they said they have never had a Gyro‍. Service was okay but not exactly with a smile, more like a smirk. Would probably return, would not get a wrap and would try their coffee. Beloit is a very cool place. It's a college town, and a revitalized industrial town. I was up early so headed here on my own. You can park out back in a big public lot and walk in the back, or there's a storefront out front. It's nothing fancy, but very nice and clean. They have coffee, they have pastries, they have bagels and breakfast foods. Service was great. Prices are decent.  I got a raspberry iced mocha which was very, very good. Had the "oats and more" or some such name, which was granola over top of steel-cut oatmeal, with a fruit cup on the side. So, you know, eating healthy in Wisconsin for once. It was very, very good. Very filling. It was a great place to kick off the day with a little fiber and caffeine. read more

Gluten free bagels contain wheat. It is not the same machinery it is an ingredient in the bagels - as a celiac family this is concerning. Manager was extremely rude and said she didn't care and would continue selling them as gluten free. Were very bummed to not be able to eat here safely with an allergy they say they can accommodate (but can't). read more

I can see this hidden gem climbing my go to list super quick! The customer service experience we had was exceptional. My wife ordered the avocado toast and you know if there's Italian beef on the menu, I'm trying it. . My wife thoroughly enjoyed the toast and she is PICKY with her avocados. Normally, no matter what it is, she leaves a few bites. This was not the case at all, she said it was too good so I'll take her word for it. Now for the Italian stallion.... The old faithful.... The Italian Beef Sandwich. I will say, I was quite nervous when the cook reached for sliced bread and not a sub. I almost judged the sandwich prematurely, I love a good Italian beef on an Italian bread but this sandwich is in a league of its own. The crisp crust, and juicy Italian beef taste amazing with the aus jus dipped bread and extra aus jus dipping cup! The flavor is very tasty and hearty. Definitely a big filler for lunch, for dinner add some fries and you're all set. The food here taste really fresh and it's definitely made to order. Give it a shot! Both times I've come to Beloit, I've landed here. Love the view of the mint art deco gem across the street, and the huge windows through which to see it. The bagels are good--but damn, come early--got here at 10 and they were sold out of my favorite sesame. Reportedly, "it was a crazy morning." I guess. Because there were only two people in the joint when I arrived. They offer a nice array of coffees and teas, baked goods, regular dishes and have free wifi. We had the pleasure of working with Bagels & More twice for catering breakfasts on our wedding weekend, once for breakfast for our wedding party on the day of, and again catering for about 70 people for a brunch the day after. They were so helpful and professional and all the food was excellent! The Vegan Tofu Scramble and cinnamon rolls were some of our favorites. They helped work with us to make sure we had delicious options for our vegan and gluten-free guests too. We would definitely recommend them for catering any event. read more

Disappointed. Staff kind of rude today. Minus one of the gals (nose ring always pleasurable). I like to come in to have coffee and study, however, today was my last visit. At 1:30 I asked for fresh/hot coffee. I was waiting since earlier but just kept drinking the lukewarm coffee. I also ordered food so I was not just taking up their table. I was told at 1:30 no coffee would be made (I had bottomless coffee. "It's too late". Huh, thought you closed at 3:30, I kept to myself. Offered to make a cup explained again that its been old and cool coffee for the past hour. Refused to make fresh coffee. Anyway, went to The Flying Pig, feel much more welcome here. Boo. Found this gem on the way out of town but I'll definitely be here for our next visit! I'll focus on the gluten sensitive stuff since there are lots of people raving about the other stuff. They have a ton of gluten sensitive and lactose free treats!!! I walked away with a pumpkin bar, lemon blueberry muffin and a rice crispy treat! I'm in heaven! I had a gluten free bagel with egg, sausage and cheese and it was super tasty! Husband had a breakfast burrito which he inhaled. The place was modern and super cute. I noticed they had outlets at every single table along the wall if you were working or studying. Thanks for the sugary gluten sensitive vegan treats guys!
