This is the only bagel shop near me in Elgin so I go by default. Bagels are good. I really enjoy the cream cheese selection. Olive? Yes please. However, I just had the breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese and bacon on sesame bagel. The cheese and bacon were practically nonexistent and the scrambled egg seemed like it was either cooked in microwave or premade and warmed in it. Also very bland. Bacon was paper thin and undercooked. Definitely won't get that again. I may give a lunch sandwich a chance but am dubious after breakfast experience. Stick with bagel and cream cheese. Service is excellent and coffee drinks for son and myself are good. Plenty of seating and parking. It's pricey but what isn't now? Cost was $34 for one breakfast sandwich, 6 bagels, 2 cream cheese and two coffee drinks. read more

I don't live in nearby anymore, and had almost forgotten about this place, but the family wanted bagels the other week. I'm so glad I remembered it. Service is friendly and quick. The restaurant is clean and has plenty of seating. The prices are very fair, and the bagels are, hands down, the best in the area. They have a ton of variety of bagels and spreads. I have been here twice and it's a cozy place that has really great breakfast options, but also some pretty good sandwiches for lunch too. The muffins are amazing and honestly more like cupcakes because of how sweet and moist they are, the cheesecake ones being my absolute favorite! Decent prices in my eyes, costs the same as any junk fast food place nowadays but uses quality ingredients. There is usually a line, and a bit of a wait (of course depending on what you order), but it's not like they have a team of 15 back there so I'd say everything is done in a timely manner especially with all the demand. Bagels are still good however we've been dissatisfied with the service lately. The line was out-the-door long (which is a sign the food is good). But unfortunately, also a sign that behind the counter is not running well as it could be. Perhaps more staff are needed and/or another system of ordering and receiving could be implemented to speed things up? Waiting for a bagel for 30 minutes on multiple occasions is too long for us. We will not be coming because we feel 30 minutes for a bagel is unreasonable. read more

But I did go with the jalapeño bagel and jalapeño cream cheese and my take away...wayyyyyy too much cream cheese. I scraped off over half which was mind blowing and I felt bad. Wish they charged a bit less and then I didn't waste. That said it was very one note, no heat, and could have benefited from a cheddar add on the bagel or the spread. Great place. Tried out today for the first time. I love a fresh NY style bagel. Tons of carbs but such a treat. They had plenty of different kinds to chose from. This is the best bagel shop I've been to since being in Chicago. I'm on this side of town for a work assignment, and found this little gem. When I first walked in, an older lady with short hair was at the register and she greeted me kindly. She told me about majority of the products on the menu, and the turkey with havarti cheese stood out. It was properly stacked and inserted into its packaging. Still my favorite bagel place, Spent first half of my life in NY. I miss the everything bagels. Not like the seed bagels most places sell, I want garlic and onion in my everything bagels too. Everything bagels originated by using all the left over toppings that got mixed together, so you should expect "everything" that comes on a bagel on one. The bagels were good quality but as a sandwich they were just kind of meh. Ordered the turkey havarti and the sandwich was lathered in cream cheese and that's basically all you tasted. I'm not a huge cream cheese fan so I removed it and then it had basically no taste. Wasn't a fan. Paid for the meal which gave me a whopping 5 tiny bagel chips. Person I was with commented how hilariously small the side of bagel chips was. Might be ok for just a bagel but wont be going back for the sandwich, thats for sure. read more

We stopped by for the first time today. We got there and most bagels were picked over but the employee gave some great cream cheese recommendations to go with what they had left. The apple cinnamon cream cheese was amazing and tasted great with the strawberry bagel. My son thought the chocolate chip cheesecake was cake :) blueberry cheesecake muffin was tasty.
