I'm so grateful to fellow Yelp friends for pointing out this cozy bagel shop. I should have asked where the name came from because I only saw good guys here. They have several flavors of gluten free bagels, squeal! The service is so welcoming and considerate about allergies. We shared a Bee Sting breakfast sandwich because this is how it is described on the menu "One of our most popular sandwiches! Egg, Cheddar Cheese, Crispy Bacon, Scallion Schmear, and Heaven's Hot Honey. You can't beat this combo!" Omg it was scrumptious! You can pre-order and drive thru to pick up or park in the adjacent lot and walk in. You can customize everything so check out their website ordering menu ahead of time. The coffee was really tasty too. There was a constant flow of patrons early on a Sunday morning. There are only two tables inside so we took our order to go. I'm already dreaming of what I'll try next and who I will bring with to enjoy these really delicious bagels in Geneva. read more

We heard about this place from a fellow Yelper so we decided to go on a Sunday morning. My wife was super excited that they have GF bagels! This small family owned Bagel Shop makes fantastic NY Style bagels as well as homemade cream cheese spreads. They are open for breakfast and lunch offering unique sandwich combinations . We tried one of their most popular breakfast sandwiches..The Bee Sting. GF Everything Bagel with egg,cheddar cheese,bacon, scallion schmear and hot honey. Absolutely delicious! My wife also had a hazelnut latte which she loved! They have a small indoor dining space as well as outdoor seating. Plenty of parking available. We will definitely be back! read more

It was a pleasant surprise to find this little house offering such delicious bagels. Bonus, it has gluten-free bagels! Think of it as a small deli. There are limited seatings. We arrived around 10:30am on a Sunday, and the parking adjacent to the lot has quite a few cars. There are customers waiting for their order, and some in line to order. They have an extensive option for breakfast and lunch. They also have a good list of coffee menu (they serve Lavazza coffee). The gluten-free bagel was great - it is not prepackaged. The regular bagel was delicious - get some sweetness of honey in between the savory bites from the eggs, cream cheese and bacon. A good complementary flavor! We definitely come back when it gets warmer, and will get some bagels to picnic by the Fox River. read more

I love that they are gluten conscious here! It's been a long time since I have had a delicious bagel. I got the Bee Sting on a gluten free bagel plus a few bagels to take home for my family. They bagged my gluten free bagels separately and asked if I wanted them to finish the bake on the ones I took home. I was so happy to see gluten free bagels that were the same size as regular bagels! I enjoy their breakfast sandwiches and the option to add cream cheese to the breakfast sandwiches. Geneva doesn't have a bagel spot so I like that it's locally owned and they have now offered more items to their menu since they opened. Nice outdoor seasonal seating too. read more

Stopped in for some bagels at Bad Guy Bagels in Geneva. Enjoyed the bagels and coffee in a cute little home like restaurant. The restaurant is located on the corner and looks just like an everyday house except you will likely see people eating on the porch if its nice out. Super delicious bagels, i will be back! read more

The bagels were soooooo delicious!! Absolutely soft and definitely can tell they're fresh. Got the breakfast builder, bacon on an everything bagel and this was the BEST everything bagel I've ever had!! I paired it with a peach party tea, was not my favorite given that I'm a sweet tea girl and their tea is NOT sweetened here. Just added cane sugar to help it out and it did help. The atmosphere here is so pretty, so aesthetically pleasing to eye. There's something so warm and welcoming about a small business and especially when they have that homey feeling to it. The staff here were so sweet and let us take our time looking at the menu and were very patient with us! We are definitely doing to make this a regular place to come to and you should too! It definitely left a good lasting impression and a place that I will recommend to all my friends and family!! read more

Bad Guy Bagels is located just beyond the main Downtown area in Geneva. This little house turned bagel shop had a designated parking lot east of the main building. They offer some inside seats and a couple of outdoor tables. Their menu is a mix of bagels & schmear, bagel breakfast/lunch sandwiches, coffee drinks, and some sweet treats. Their bagels, schmear, and a couple more items are available to purchase in bulk to go. This spot was super busy for a Saturday morning! My husband ordered a Jalapeño bagel with Jalapeño Pimento Spread. It's not often one sees Pimento Cheese spread as an option so he had to try it. It was savory with a buildable heat to it. I got the Breakfast Builder sandwich with Bacon, Scrambled Egg, & Cheese on a Garlic Bagel. The flavors paired well together but would have benefitted from a sauce. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our food but bagels did seem smaller than other places we've been and wish the flavors popped more. I stopped in at Bad Guy Bagels on a weekday morning and thought it was great to see they consistently had customers coming and going. This is a family owned business and I felt the warmth of it being family owned. There is limited seating inside (4 seats total) and an enclosed outdoor patio with about 10 seats. Staff members were helpful and patient. They offered suggestions and gave off positive energy. Once my husband and I placed our order it took about 5-10 mins for everything to be ready. I tried the bee sting sandwich on an egg bagel and thought it was pretty good! All the ingredients go well together and the texture of the bagel is great. I wish I would have specified wanting an over easy egg. Mine was cooked scrambled and I think that would have made it the 'over the top' experience I was looking for. My husband tried the Taylor pork roll on an everything bagel. He thought it was OK. He didn't love the ham but overall thought the sandwich was decent. read more

I was in the area and wanted a sandwich for lunch. I love to support locally whenever possible, and I came across this spot. I was by myself, so I just ordered online. It was ready when I got there. It's a cute, small stand alone building. While picking up, I realized they also have coffee. I would love to try that if I come back. The club sandwich was good! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, friendly, and super welcoming--it really set the tone for a great experience. The food was incredible. My go-to is the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel, and it never disappoints--perfectly cooked, super flavorful, and always hits the spot. I always add garlic aioli, which takes it to the next level and makes it even more addictive. It was so fun getting to share one of my favorite spots with my dad and seeing how much he enjoyed it too. Bagels are my weakness so when I heard Geneva was getting a bagel shop I was both excited and nervous. I stopped by on a Thursday morning. It's located right off of State Street which makes it a convenient stop on the way to work. There are a few small tables inside and a few more on the patio. They also had a pac-man and frogger machine which I thought was too cute! I tried a toasted egg bagel with pumpkin spice cream cheese. The bagel tasted so fresh. Dreamy is the best word to describe it. They did not skimp on the pumpkin spice cream cheese either. It wasn't as overly sweet as I expected which was perfect! I'm a sucker for anything seasonal and couldn't resist. Overall, a cute little addition to Geneva. Friendly workers and delicious food! read more

Bagels are okay. The important part though, has already been mentioned in other reviews: an ambivalent-at-best cashier who is unhelpful and unknowing. When asked about egg whites, they said they couldn't accommodate, because of contamination. There wasn't so much as a thought to ask someone else, nor a consideration to even ask the kitchen, which was just off to the side and had a lot of cracked eggs sitting in the little circle things for frying on a flat iron grill. Instead there was a glimmer of thought and a made up way to make this happen: "We could cut the yolk out of a fried one" - I mean, sure, you could, or you could separate out the white from an egg and charge me $2 for the inconvenience like any other place and I'd accept it. I'd accept "I'm sorry, we don't" and was prepared to do so and get something else, however, given the approach I instead got nothing and wrote a review to share so hopefully it can be a teachable moment. Got it. It is an inconvenience. And the competition up the road gladly, and truly with happiness and kindness, took an order that accommodated and expeditiously delivered. I love that the owner chimes in for comments here - and asks folks to speak up because they live and die by reviews. You kind of live and die by what you choose to deliver, and who you allow to deliver it. Would love to come back and give another chance, however, they don't appear to deal with dietary restrictions well. And that's okay! It's their choice, just like it's mine. I don't judge for that and would be fine with it; it's how it was handled. The low score is for how it was all handled. The bagels were okay. I was told that the spreads were pretty great, as well. read more

I want to love this place. FINALLY a bagel place in the tricities. The cashier was literally just charging us for whatever and we had to keep correcting the order. She seemed new so gave her a lot of grace and patience. When a sandwich says the ingredients on a board and you receive something else, a heads up would be nice. It can get backed up at times, because it's a small joint (and people love it), but if you have the tiniest amount of patience you will have a great experience. Checked them out for the first time, easy order...toasted Wheat Bagel w/the Scallion Schmear. Total price was $4.35. The bagel was soft, chewy. I prefer a much more toasted bagel. I want some crunch on the outside and a firm surface to spread the cream cheese. Maybe I'd have to ask for extra toasted next time. That said, the scallion cream cheese was really tasty. The onion flavor was definitely obvious. I really liked that. The shop has a small ordering area, just a couple tables and a sliding door which I found interesting. There is a large prep area, I'm guessing they do some catering orders. If I were in the area, I'd check them out again, but twice toasted is a must. read more

The owner and the cashier was super sweet. They gave me a free sample of their delicious fresh squeezed orange juice and I ordered a delicious bagel with cheddar and scrambled egg and it was absolutely amazing. Finally a reasonably priced egg sandwich that doesn't break the bank for me! They make everything homemade one of a few places that is a scratch kitchen for breakfast!
