V20 - BBQ Pork Vermicellis (Bun Thit Nuong )
    Samantha D.

Came here around 8pm on a Saturday and were seated immediately as it was empty. There were 2 employees taking our order and refilling waters. Service was good, no complaints. The restaurant was clean and bright inside with spacious seating despite the small exterior of the building. I ordered the grilled pork rice vermicelli and it was pretty good, they did not skimp on the meat at all and I had a good amount leftover to take home at the end of the meal. We also got spring rolls as an appetizer although they came out after our dishes. The spring rolls were piping hot (almost too hot), crispy, and tasted good as well. My partner ordered a bun bo hue, which he said was tasty but it didn't have pork blood. Overall, a satisfying meal. Would come again to try other items on the menu, particularly the banh mi.

Ripped off for an order of french fries $6?! Last time I get ripped off from this place!

Has been a little over a year since we visited this place sandwiches were always good and tasty inside is clean. Employees are friendly. We are having a sandwich craving and decide to try this place again and it has changed. Sandwich is a better tastier and larger. We would definitely come back here again

One of the best pho restaurants I have been to in the Edison, NJ area. Very friendly staff offering a great service! Only recommendation I would offer is to invest in some shades on the main window... The afternoon sun comes in blazing with no shade at all

This hole in the wall is really good. The bahn mi is one of thee best. They serve it on a really nice warm baguette and with the name of the establishment they are doing that right!! They look like they revamped in the inside it's actually really cute, wooden panels and plenty of seating. The beef noodle dish was really delish, it was on their specials page! The Vietnamese spring rolls are always a win! Highly recommend this place, it doesn't let you down. Service was great and prices have definitely went up but just like everything else with inflation. Beef dish was $17. Bahn mi was $10 and spring rolls were $10.

True to its name, they serve a solid banh mi here! I haven't tried anything else on the menu, but the banh mis are filling and satisfying. I enjoyed the BBQ Pork and Lemongrass Tofu (which is a lighter option, but with nice lemongrass flavor). Weather was nice so we ate our banh mis outdoors, but the restaurant also has a spacious indoor dining area.

The vietnamese sandwiches are great and I would definitely get them again. The pho was okay. I wish the combo with the oxtail was not just two tiny pieces of oxtail for the $20. It was good in flavor but more on the clear side I'll definitely return for the bahn mi. Service: can be slow at times

Exceptional bahn-mi always, been my go to for years. Stopped in tonight for a quick bite and got the BBQ pork over rice combo. The meat was delicious as always and a really filling meal overall. The person at the counter was extra nice and packed my bahn mi to-go with the carrots and cilantro separately so I could toast it up later. Told me not to rush even though I felt slightly guilty for dining in very close to their closing time.

I was surprised to see a lot of people comment negatively on the appearance of Baguette Delite. It's not super modern and instagram worthy perhaps, but it was very clean and I felt it had a warm and inviting charm! Plenty of seating available, yes very casual, but I felt it was a nice place for lunch. I ordered the BBQ Banh Mi combo, which comes with the full size sandwich, fries and a soda. The fries were nice and crisp while also having a potatoey consistency on the inside. They had a nice flavor that mimicked the flavor of their other dishes so maybe they are fried in the same oil or maybe they just use the same spices. Either way, they were good and had a flavor to them. The Banh mi was delicious but I had small issues with the vegetables: there weren't enough jalepeno (only two slices on a pretty large sandwich), and the carrot was shredded, I prefer when there is a bit more bite to it. I also would have liked some sauce to add, but we took ours to go so I only had what was available to me at work. Had we stayed there to eat, it looked like there was a large variety of different sauces to choose from. They also have plenty of different bubble tea flavors. I ordered the coconut and it did not disappoint! There was only one person working there when we came in (that I could see), but it was not busy and she was very friendly and accommodating. All in all it was a very tasty lunch, we will definitely order from here again.

Hands down THE BEST Vietnamese spot I've been to on the east coast. HUGE tasty portions made with love. The broth in the pho was so good that I didn't want to ruin it with the usual hoisin and sriracha or any other toppings. The bbq pork chop combo was different from what I've previously had elsewhere. Intense marinated Flavors. So delicious. I highly recommend this spot. I only found this because they're open at 10am While everyone else opens at 11 or later.

Food tasted good overall but the interior could be cleaner. Combo pork chop on rice-pork chop was soft and marinated perfectly with great taste. Large combo pho-meat was too tough for me that I couldn't chew most of them. Noodles and soup tasted nice. The portion size of the large was the perfect serving size for me since the regular size wouldn't be enough food. You can pay at the counter and the food is brought to you.

Good to see they have upgraded themselves from a mainly takeout joint to a properly sit-down restaurant. They were the first Vietnamese restaurant in the area, but now there are many competitions, some with better locations near Asian supermarkets. Wish them luck!

If you say no ice.... This is how much drink you get. Mind you.... These are LARGE drinks. One is 7$ the other is almost 9!

Has this place changed ownership since they first opened?

I'm pretty sure they did. They completely remodeled a couple of years ago, changed the look of their menu, and changed personnel.

    Is the pho gluten free?

Pho typically uses rice noodle, which is gluten free. But, you should ask restaurant, encase they use some other type of noodle. Should ask for ingredients, as the broth may have soy sauce, which has gluten.

I have nut allergies....can i eat at Baguette delite?

Oof. That depends on the severity. I know for a fact they have nuts because they're sprinkled on top of noodle bowls. If them just being around hits you I wouldn't. If your concerned about cross contamination...it's hard to say because you want to…

Do they have green tea soft serve?

No longer having the soft serve machine for green tea. The former owner used to have that machine before. They only serve the green bubble tea version.

Can bun bo hue be part of the menu?

Not sure. Here's the website with the menu: http://baguettedelite.com/36493

There were many empty tables with dirty dishes left on them, which to me suggested they were understaffed that day. To my knowledge, Lua was recently constructed, however the booth seating was already ripping and the floor and booth seams were honestly grimy. I would've expected those from a hole in the wall restaurant, but it looks really modern and "elevated" inside. My menu was dirty and I didn't realize it was missing some pages (because the pages ripped from the staple) so I thought the menu was a lot smaller than it was. I hope they find a better way of cleaning the restaurant interior and menus, and update the menus to higher quality. I ordered (S3)- Vietnamese Dried Noodles, which came with a bowl of soup. The rest of my party ordered (A16)- Butter Glazed Fried Quail and (B4)- Grilled Pork and Spring Roll on Rice Vermicelli. -I ended up eating the (S3) Dried Noodles for four days because of the shear quantity of them, so to me it was incredible value. And it had a fair portion of seafood and the flavor was actually surprisingly super delicious, if not a bit sweet. I had an upset stomach that day and was happily surprised this dish came with soup. I would reorder this, especially if I was hungry. -For me, the quail (A16) was a little dry but well seasoned. There were two quails in the serving. I would reorder this again only if I was craving small bites. - The pork chop (B4) was on the above average side in terms of taste, but fairly large in terms of size. There was rice, spring roll, egg omlette, along with other sides. Overall, Lua Vietnamese Restaurant had an extensive menu and I really enjoyed the food. However, while the food was quick to come out, the table service was painfully slow and the interior was grimy. I'd recommend giving it a try if you're in the area, but not in a rush.

Finally we got a Vietnamese coffee too go, and it was strong and not overly sweet like other places. I really loved it! The restaurant is super cute inside as well. It is very aesthetic, while also displaying some super cute pieces of art. Unfortuantely it is in a boring looking plaza, but it even has a sofa seating area if you want to just come and get a coffee and read. I hope they are very successful and I will definitely be returning. They are NOT cash only anymore, and take all forms of payment.

The has owner served me before. She was very friendly and sweet. What we've ordered: - Pho Dac Biet - Grilled Pork Vermicelli - Vietnamese style Pork Egg Rolls - Bun Bo Hue - Vietnamese Coffee - Lemonade It is not my go to for pho as I have other preferred spots but it is closest to me and so most convenient. My mom did not like her Bun Bo Hue so we don't go back as a family but I don't mind it in a pinch. The food might not be my favorite but it's not bad so if you're in the area I still think that it's worth the visit.
