What a yummy delight and a pleasant surprise that we stumbled upon a local pho place so close to our house! It was about an hour before closing but it didn't feel that way at all by the friendly staff and great customer service! Hubs and I were hungry and craving Vietnamese food, so we decided to give Baguettes and noodles a try and they did not disappoint! We ordered the fried egg rolls, grilled pork rice plate and pho tai (with no cilantro of course)! Everything was great!! All the ingredients tasted very fresh and everything came out piping hot! Some observations/personal preferences: it would be great if the fish sauce came out with the egg rolls to dip instead of the sweet-and-sour sauce, and I wish they had soda chanh on their menu since they offer da chanh already... Our server was super sweet! Didn't catch her name but I appreciated that she made me as close to a soda chanh as she could with what she had and it actually tasted really good! I was pleasantly surprised that this place had very flavorful delicious pho. Usually it's very hit or miss in cypress area to find good pho. From the many pho spots I've tried in cypress this place was top 3 for me. The broth was clean but also had the perfect amount of fat on top and it wasn't watered down or bland. The meats were good but the portion was a bit small. But that's probably because I got it to-go and they are trying to fit everything inside the tiny pho containers. I've passed by so many times and each time the name catches my eye. I've never stopped in, but about two weeks ago I ordered on Uber eats and it was very delicious. We ordered the combination pho and the pho tai, along with some Vietnamese egg rolls. The egg rolls came with Thai chili sauce (which I do like, fortunately!). The pho broth was good - not the best I've had - but certainly nothing to complain about. The quality of the meat in the pho was excellent! I'm not usually a fan of meatballs in pho, but their meatballs here were better than most I've had. The service was not the best, but that was no fault of the waitress. They use MSG to make you think the food is good. Stay away if you have any understanding in what MSG is and what it does. The owner called me like eight times to argue that there is nothing wrong with MSG. Would not listen and just keeps talking over me. Learn how to listen for a change. If you think there is nothing wrong with MSG then put a big sign: "We Proudly Serve MSG". You have no understanding of food and how to make it while hide behind cheap flavor enhancers. Cozy shop off Huffmeister, clean and bright. Only gotten Togo, but counter service was quick. The food was amazing! Started with "A5" Winer Roll, grilled pork, veggies and wonderful peanut sauce. The "P2" ribeye steak noodle soup was great for this cold day. The broth was so flavorful, I didn't need to add any seasoning. The noodles were hot with the ribeye on top. The veggies included (on side) were all crisp and delicious. My favorite was the fresh plucked basil! There were fresh sliced jalapeños for those that want an extra kick. Only draw back was it was lighter on the protein than expected. Finished out with "D1" Vietnamese coffee, served hot with condensed milk. Delish! Friendly, bilingual staff that walked me through the menu. I tried two banh mi sandwiches--thinly sliced marinated beef (thịt tái) and the special (đặc biệt). Surprisingly, the best part was the baguette itself with a warm, pillowy interior and slight crunch when you bite in. Looking forward to trying more things on the menu and bringing my coworkers next time. So glad I stumbled on this place the other day. I love a good grilled pork bahn mi and this place has it! Ingredients were fresh, pork was on point, and the baguette was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was phenomenal. And very reasonably priced too! My friend had the fried rice and it looked amazing!! She said is tasted as good as it looked. Service was great. Friendly and accommodating. The Vietnamese iced coffee was really good as well. Today my husband and I tried the Vietnamese sandwiches. We tried the combination, the chicken and the beef. All were a one out of five. The baguette was stale and very hard. It tastes like old bread and the meat inside the sandwiches were a one out of five. Nothing you would come back for. The fries were old and for 6.49 they should ensure that you get fresh hot fries. We will not be returning because there are many more Vietnamese restaurants whose sandwiches are much much better. We tried the restaurant because of the ratings on yelp but it does not live up to the ratings posted . the sandwiches just were not fresh especially the baguette . we threw them away. Lots going on in this little strip near Cy-Falls H.S., not the least of which is B&N. Small place, modern Vietnamese menu and executing quickly at a high level. It's too hot for Pho for me personally, so I opted for the grilled pork bahn mi and egg rolls (pictured). Great flavor on both while the baguette was a little hard for me. I had always wanted to try this place out. I ordered banh mi and yellow noodles. The taste was fine but I can tell they used old bread. Both were so hard when my husband got home. The yellow noodles were full of fat. There were so much pork belly fat cube. I've never seen the dish coming with the sad veggie bag like this one: bean sprouts and a few mint leaves, 2 slices of jalapeño. If you don't have banana blossom and fish mint, at least give me some chopped lettuce. Urghh. I don't think they even washed their veggies. The bean sprouts were brown. Only the eggrolls were fine. New Owners! I'm always in the mood for pho, so I tried this place which was half way between my house and a friend's. I'm glad we gave them a go. The inside was clean with tables spread out enough for those with Covid concerns. The owner was super friendly and accommodating. But I came for the food. They didn't disappoint. We have been here been coming here the food has always been good. My wife try to order the egg noodles & wontons but the last three times they never have it. We order the hot jasmine tea and the tea is lukewarm not even hot just like the Pho soup. The service is ok just under staff when the restaurant has too many customers. The waitress.only came when taking our order and to bring our order is the only time we saw our waitress. Usually ambiance is good but you have big parties the noise is so bad you can't even hear the person you are with. But that is the way it is in any restaurant. Today was the first time we were very disappointed in the food and service. I hope this is not a sign that this restaurant ls going to start neglect their service and food. I always enjoy eating here. I will give this restaurant one more chance if nothing changes it will be time to look for another restaurant to try. First experience with pho, I think. If not, the first time was not impressionable enough. Quiet place for now, I think they are newly opened as there is a grand opening sign up. I'm a little worried to be sure. It seems they forgot to order our appetizer, egg rolls, which server recommended. Not a good sign. Yep, they forgot the egg rolls. My son liked his banh mi, the grilled pork sandwich. They are only 5.75, which I thought was a great price until I saw the small amount of meat. Michael said if he ever ordered it again he would get extra meat. I didn't care at all for the pho. I tried though because I feel that I am such a ramen fan, I needed to really give it a fair shot. The broth is very thin and pretty blah, again in my inexperienced humble opinion. Season came on the side, probably because I had said it was my first time with pho. Now that I ate it, I feel like I did have it before and didn't like it at that time as well. I will definitely try the banh mi though, and again, with extra meat. The egg rolls did arrive, they either forgot to order them or the grease wasn't turned on, not sure but they arrived after our meals. They were good though, I would definitely order the egg rolls again. My overall experience for this first visit here is just a three. I will have to go back again and try one of the sandwiches to upgrade or update my review read more

I ordered the com ga nuong (grilled chicken with rice) and it tasted great -- as expected. What really stood out were the customer service and state of cleanliness though. You can tell the workers really want you to have a good experience. I can't comment on any of the other food items (so bear in mind that this review is not about the pho or banh mi) but if you're in the area and don't feel like driving to Bellaire for rice then it should be a safe bet. read more
