Bahama Breeze has a location in Altamonte Springs, Fl and a location in Sanford, which is very nice, but our favorite location is Altamonte Springs. We have been dining at this location for years, and have never been disappointed in the food, or the service. Their prices are reasonable, unlike many places we have been to. We prefer the Altamonte Springs location because you actually experience that Island ambiance. They have a large covered outdoor dining area, plenty of parking and certain nights, have live music. They periodically offer special Island cocktails, very delicious. Their menu has something for everyone. If you have never dined here, do yourself a favor and give it a try, you will be pleasantly surprised. read more

I came here two weeks ago with my girls for some drinks and appetizers for happy hour and my experience was not good at all. We sat at the bar outside and the environment was nice. It was cold and the space heaters were on and I was having a good time with my girls. I ordered a Pina Colada and an order or empanadas. My drink was good but I was not a fan of the empanadas and I told the bar tender that I did not like them and she asked if I wanted something else. I was interested in the Crab and three cheese dip, so I asked her "is that good ?, she replied back very snarky and annoyed with a lot of attitude and told me "it's just meat and cheese" that comment was so unnecessary and it didn't even answer my question I know what it is I was not asking what it was I was asking if it was worth me getting or not. Because if the service I received I decided to not even get anything else, I was ready to take my check and leave. The girls night was off to a great start but ended with a terrible experience. It make perfect sense to eat here with shopping center very close to this area. I definitely got the Churrasco for dinner. They have good thin Cuban style skirt steak. The steak was marinated with right spice. This time the temperature is a bit in well done side in compare to the requested medium. My friend got the tequila sunburn salmon with mango salsa. Our coconut shrimp appetizer was really good. The sweet of the coconut mixing with the sweet of the sauce they pair was great The lobster & shrimp linguine was good. I would've liked more lobster though. The jerk shrimp pineapple bowl was full of flavor and very tasty but shouldn't be called jerk. Jerk is the spicy heat of the islands. Some of the base spices in jerk seasoning are paprika, cinnamon, red pepper and cayenne which all pack a punch. This had absolutely no spice at all, I kept waiting for it but it never arrived. A waste of my time. Called to try and order a happy hour appetizer to go, told I had to come in. Ok. I came in. Place is super busy, nobody at greeters station besides an employee who is just getting to work. He is friendly and lets me know the bar is open seating outside. I have about 45 mins left before happy hour ends. So I have plenty of time- right?! No. I sit at a dirty spot at the bar. I clear it off. I am ignored by bar staff for 15-20 minutes. Never greeted, given a menu or looked at. I knew what I wanted, I was ready to go! Didn't even need a menu... !?? A food runner came by to give me someone else's food and I mentioned I hadn't been helped. She didn't help me either. She also really wasn't much help when I left the bar after my 20 minute wait without even a hello. She said she'd talk to the manager, but they're so busy I didn't expect anything but attitude and spit at this point now.... They treated me much better when I came in with a disabled customer a couple weeks ago when we came in practically daily.... I want to come back, I rushed out to try and get something reasonable to eat after a long day at work since I wasn't there until 7pm and could make happy hour ..... FAIL. Good old Bahama breeze restaurant!! We've been eating at many locations for years. It's very traditional Florida staple to try at least once when you're in town, however, this visit was one to remember. The food was just simply fair to good, but the service was absolutely the greatest service I've ever gotten in any restaurant. Donna was the server that you wanna ask for!! and was like no other server I've had in my professional traveling career she was polite, courteous, professional, and very understanding and how to bill me properly for the best situation for my family , not only did she handle the problem of the dry tacos I ordered and replaced them with better tacos, but then also to recommend us a dessert which we felt wasn't our taste and took care of that professionally as well !!..From top to bottom. The manager not only was delightful and kind but when we left the restaurant, we forgot our keys in the booth and he walked out to our car to bring them to us. AMAZING! 1st off, I am obsessedddd with Spinach & Artichoke Dip. This place probably has one of the best I've ever had! Seafood Paella was delicious, a bit on the spicy side so if you're not a spicy food lover, stay away. Jerk Chicken Pasta is what I ordered and it was incredible. I don't mind spicy, but this wasn't too hot at all! Kids enjoyed their Mac & cheese, and the ladies enjoyed their drinks. Definitely my favorite spot on our Daytona trip! You can never go wrong with Bahama Breeze man. Known for their well portioned big plates and caribbean dishes, it's the best! I always go to a particular one so I was hoping this location wasn't gonna disappoint me and it didn't!! :) Didn't take long to be seated and we had a very great and personable waitress. She was so nice and attentive. The food was amazing like always. The establishment is very pretty and love the huge outdoor bar seating area, which we ate. I will say that my Cuban sandwich was not really a Cuban sandwich and it was the first time I ordered it too so I wouldn't order it next time to get my Cuban sandwich fix, it was still very delicious!!! After watching an episode of Delish trying everything at Bahama Breeze I had to take a trip. The island vibe is definitely a hit here at Bahama breeze. Our server Chrissy was fantastic and helpful. The drinks were very tropical and surprisingly strong!!!! Not a single complaint on the drinks end but I feel we after trying the Beef Empanadas first and how amazing they were that our main course wasn't as good! I'll be thinking about those for a long time. The honey Butter Chicken sandwich was delicious but definitely get extra mayo for it since it was a little on the dry side. Came here with my family last weekend for lunch! We called ahead to ensure that they would be able to seat a party of 8, and they said that they couldn't do a reservation, but that there was no wait. We were seated right away upon arrival. The restaurant is adhering to all of the CDC guidelines, including tables being 6 feet apart, staff wearing masks, and cleaning constantly. We really felt comfortable during our lunch. The waitress was great! She was very attentive, and provided wonderful service the entire time. She always checked up on us, and never let a drink go empty. The food was also super yummy. I ordered the lunch portion of the chicken, mashed potatoes, and roasted corn. Me and my husband decided to check out Bahama breeze last Sunday. Our server Mariah was very attentive and quick with service. Our drinks were absolutely 10/10 , my husband had the strawberry mojito which be warned it has a lot of strawberry purer at the top which was a nice treat like a smoothie. I had a javatini which was absolutely divine with dark rum and espresso. I had the cloud nine which was alright with flavor but the mango boba was yummy with the drink! And I had a spicy mango margarita which wasn't actually spicy but was a nice tasting mango margarita with a spicy rim. Our food was good. I had the seafood paella which had all of the meat cooked very well and the rice was delicious. I believe that there could've been more seasoning considering this is a Caribbean place but it still tasted great and overall is worth the money. My husband had the jerk chicken and he felt that it was cooked extremely well and kept juicy while it also could've used more spice. We got there for a late dinner, but it turns out that they have late night happy hour where appetizers are half price. There were a few exceptions, but as a group, we tried several of them: beef empanadas, coconut shrimp, jerk shrimp, jerk wings, crab dip, & habanero wings. Coconut and jerk shrimp were really good, would definitely order those again. Not sure I'd call it jerk shrimp, more like some jerk seasoning on the shrimp, floating is garlic butter. It was still great to dunk the warm bread into that yummy sauce. Crab dip and empanadas were just OK. I liked both wings, although the habanero ones had more kick that the jerk. I noticed we were staying about 6 miles away and knew we had to make it part of our vacation trip. I called and made reservations and showed up about 20 mins before our time. The outside ambiance was really nice! Live music and not too hot. We ordered drinks and appetizers from the kiosk tablet on our table and our main entrees with our server, Paul, who was great! The firecracker shrimp appetizer was amazing and came with a sriracha aioli sauce that we got on the side. Our blended drinks were also nice and refreshing. I was pleasantly surprised by our entree portions, as they were very decent. Everything tasted fresh and well made! We then payed on the kiosk and left. If you're looking to be in and out, this place is good as you don't need to talk with your server much, only for ordering main entrees. We went to Bahamas breeze while we were on vacation. The staff was friendly and had a good feel about the place when you walked in. The jerk chicken sandwich I was told it was really good and cooked perfectly and fries were good also. The coconut shrimp tacos they were good and he got fries with them. The pineapple jerk chicken was amazing I would tell anyone to order this for sure!!!! The appetizers were good nothing to crazy about them. I do wish this restaurant was in more place like back home it was a fun place to visit and had a good experience here. read more

The atmosphere was neutral in a positive way, doesn't resemble a sports bar on a Thursday evening. With a party of three, our attendant Crissy was very friendly and helpful during our time. The food was better than expected after reading other reviews. I'd say the coconut shrimp with their in house sauce is a smash hit. However, I'd advise light caution when ordering beef since the well done steak I ordered came out medium well and was not as tender or seasoned as I'd like.
