First we say at the bar, the bartender was awesome!! The margaritas def good. Ordered the crab and 3 cheese dip, it came out hot and had a good chip to dip ratio. On the other hand we felt it was lacking crab and some seasoning but it def had all the cheeses. But dessert made up for the app. Ordered the flaming pineapple butter cake, and yes it tastes as good as it sounds!! The bartender flambé it when it came out and that was a great presentation. I hadn't been to BB for awhile but a sweet friend suggested it so I met her there last Saturday for lunch. Am I way out of touch about restaurant prices? There was hardly anything under $10 except for a bowl of soup or small salad. Most entrees started at $25! It's not polite to complain when you are with a friend so I demured and settled for empanadas (4) for $13.99! So disappointed. And they were fried and had hardly any meat to speak of! My friend had a pineapple bowl filled with something with chicken. For $26? Drinks, non alcoholic start at $4. It was surprising that a group of high schoolers came in after us. Must come from money. My friends and I visited Bahama Breeze on Saturday, March 15th around 5:30 PM, hoping to enjoy one last nostalgic evening before the restaurant closes in early April. Unfortunately, the experience felt more like a farewell tour that forgot the band. The empanadas had almost no flavor and tasted like they might have come straight from a frozen grocery aisle, missing the Caribbean spices and personality Bahama Breeze used to be known for. The coconut shrimp arrived cold and not very crispy, and the "mojito" I ordered tasted more like a canned fruit cocktail decided to audition for the role. To be fair, there were a couple of bright spots. The patio was warm and comfortable, and the musician playing around 7 PM did a great job setting a relaxed island vibe that reminded us of the good old days. Our server also tried their best and was friendly despite clearly working with some less-than-stellar food and drink situations. One disappointing sight was the outdoor bar area. It was closed off and stacked with old plates and glasses, which made what used to be a lively patio centerpiece look more like the aftermath of a tropical yard sale. To top it off, I tried to use a gift card I had saved for this final visit, but it wouldn't process. The server tried multiple times and said the system kept giving an error and that there was no way to manually enter it. He even suggested I contact corporate because they've been having issues with gift cards at the store. All in all, it wasn't exactly the grand finale we hoped for. I came expecting island flavor and a little nostalgia... and instead left feeling like the buffet table had packed up early. I'm so happy Bahama Breeze hasn't closed yet; the food is so good there. I had the pasta dish, and the drink was excellent. There was ample parking and live music. For our last hurray to our beloved Bahama Breeze stores - they will close their doors in April. Went for the half-price Happy Hour. All appetizers are half off from 4-6 PM. It was a gorgeous day, sat on the outside patio near the fire pit. The band hadn't started yet but we stayed for some live music. Enjoyed the King Carnival and a Rum Runner to drink, Chicken Tostones, Firecracker Shrimp, Beef Empanadas and the Crab Dip for our food. That was plenty! Service is great - our server helped move tables, clean the surfaces, assist with the payment kiosk and got us to-go boxes. He was friendly and talked to us about the new pending store. This use to be my favorite spot when I was in college. My friends and I would come here after studying in the library late night for their happy hour for half off apps and drinks. Now that they are slowly closing the bahama breeze franchises down, it's about time they let this one go. I came here after graduation and the food was the worst ive had it. The service was okay but they basically put everyone outside & this could be due to the lack of servers. The decorations are basically all gone and its ugly. My food was the best thing I've ever had. I've been to this location before, this used to be my high school favorite restaurant. Even after I graduated it was one of my favorite restaurants ever. The food is so good here, my bowl was so flavorful and the plantain Was cooked to perfection. I'd eat this over and over again. Our server was so nice, I loved how she put our drinks inside of a pineapple. I don't know if it originally came like that, but it was the cutest thing ever and she turned on the fire for us when we said we were cold. I love that. It took nearly 10mins for anyone to come to the table and by that time we were fully ready to order. Fried shrimp came up first as an appetizer but took nearly 15mins, almost as long as the pina coladas! Long after we finished the shrimp, waited and waited, our mains finally arrived. Saved Our Night - Shoutout to Matt at Bahama Breeze! After walking away from a terrible dining experience elsewhere (cough cough...Copelands), we stumbled into Bahama Breeze just hoping for a decent meal to salvage the night. What we got was SO much more--all thanks to our phenomenal server, Matt. Let me tell you: Matt was a godsend. His joyful spirit, high energy, and genuine kindness completely turned our night around. From the moment he greeted us, he brought such positive vibes that it was impossible not to feel better. It honestly felt like we were being taken care of by a friend who really wanted us to have a great time. The patio vibe was majestic--from the soft island music to the beautiful blue lights that bathed the whole outdoor space in a tropical glow. The food? Delicious. The drinks? On point. The service? It's been a while since we have been to Bahama Breeze. I was a little disappointed that my "go to meal" had been taken off the menu, but it forced me to try something new. I tried the jerk chicken pineapple bowl. Basically it's rice topped with chicken and cut up pineapple served in a scooped out pineapple. There was a sauce, but I left that off. It was quite tasty. The portion size was a good amount. Both the hostess and our server were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed playing the trivia game on the table console while we waited for our food. Our waitress was Awesome "Amaya" took care of my group of 21 people with the greatest of ease. This restaurant is always a fantastic choice on Thanksgiving Day since they're open. I ordered the Seafood paella, and I really wish it had squid in it to make it even tastier. Overall, it was good! My husband had the Blackened Mahi Tacos, which also looked and tasted great. The restaurant is beautiful with a friendly and accommodating vibe. Big shoutout to our server, Chelsea! When in Atlanta, I always visit Bahama Breeze and specifically this location! We started on the patio for the live band but then ended up being accommodated to move inside since it wrapped up soon after we arrived. Everyone loved their food. Pictured is the coconut shrimp tacos which were fairly decent. I didn't care for the mango concoction on top but the shrimp was good. I added a side salad which turned out to be lettuce and sunflower seeds with dressing. What a huge disappointment that was! My sister got the grilled chicken cilantro crema and I tried her meal which was in fact as the waiter put it "the best meal on the menu." We absolutely loved it and I was immediately regretting the tacos. And you can never go wrong with the Bahamarita! Our server was 8 days in! Shout out to Big A as he did the best he could on shift 8 and took care of us. Only giving 4 stars because the service was fairly slow. We were there for a solid 2 hours and they missed one of the tickets of food which happened to be a 2 year olds meal who was super cranky and starving. Excellent atmosphere with a happy easygoing vibe that's not overly laid-back, attentive service with a creative flare, a well varied menu and proper reasonable pricing. That's tough to find anywhere. This Kennesaw restaurant always delivers and always feels like a mini-vacation whenever we go. It's a 30 minute drive (for me), but what a payoff! We went to Bahama Breeze in Kennesaw for a birthday celebration. What a great experience. Food and service were both excellent. We got a double appetizer as it was a celebration. The beef empanadas and yucca cheese sticks were both great. The jerk shrimp and jerk chicken bowls come served inside a hollowed out pineapple half and are a great experience. I have visited Bahama Breeze twice in the last three months. Always at lunch time and seated quickly. The ambiance is a cute island theme. They have beautiful outdoor area with a fire pit. This last time we visited we sat indoors because of the weather. The waitress was efficient and welcoming. Our table of five favored their Coconut Shrimp and salad lunch special and very reasonably priced. First time I visited I had the empanadas not a favorite. The second time I had the fried chicken sandwich with French fries. Taste was good but the platting was not inviting, the old stale bun and the french fries served cold. The waitress brought out a new plate of hot fries. The restaurant wasn't very busy and would like to see a little more to details.
