My uncles hosted their 75th birthday party here. We had a private room that comfortably fit 14 people. We were loud. It was private. Service was attentive. There was a prix fixe menu with options to suit everyone. Started off with a Caesar salad. I had the filet (perfectly medium rare) with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Sides were served family style. Finished with a chocolate mousse cake. All food was cooked well and portions were generous. The servers kept the alcohol flowing and remembered our names. I highly recommend this restaurant for your next family party.

If you've ever considered trying the Afternoon Tea at Mac's, DO IT!! This was such a fun experience and would be perfect for any occasion like Mother's Day, Birthday's or simply "just because." There were so many special touches, including a reserved card at your table. A side note: you must make reservations. The Afternoon Tea dates are listed on the Mac's Chophouse website. You are first brought scones, crumpets and your choice of tea, followed by a three-tier tray of sandwiches, quiche, and desserts. Everything was incredible. You can also add a bottle of champagne to your experience for $30. It's $65 per person and well worth it for all you receive.

THIS is the lobster tail they served us !

The positive- The staff tried really hard to provide a professional, attentive service. The negative- They need to RE-TRAIN the kitchen staff!!! The broiled lobster tail was rubbery , dry and room temperature. the seafood charcuterie was missing several items AND they served us an empty lobster tail !!!!! this made me think that this was someone's leftovers . Overall the experience was terrible- we won't be back

We went out to celebrate my birthday, and Hubs selected this restaurant. It was located in the Marietta Square. It was bustling with people and parking was somewhat challenging, but we eventually found one in the parking garage. The restaurant was nicely decorated and pleasant. Our server was pleasant and very knowledgeable about the menu, and she was very accommodating about my seafood & fish allergies. The food, ehhhh, subpar at best. The "dry-aged" steak was bland, so were the mashed potatoes and asparagus. It's no place we'd revisit. It was nice walking around the square during the Christmas season, but that was the highlight, unfortunately.

Going to Mac's for a date night was an excellent choice and I can't wait to go back. The ambiance and the service were both great and our server Rado was excellent. We had a reservation and were seated immediately and had very quick service. For dinner we shared the Beef Wellington bites and the Mac's Chophouse signature sides trio with Spinach, Mac & Cheese, and Brussels Sprouts, all of which were delicious. For dinner we each had a steak that we both enjoyed and also loved the side of Aligot potatoes. After dinner our server brought us a complimentary dessert which was amazing. Overall I think Mac's is an excellent place for a special occasion or celebration and I look forward to coming back!

Food was very delicious. We had a seafood charcuterie board which was very different and tasty. We also had a seafood platter that brought just about everything, Salmon, lobster, shrimp and scallops with a side of mash and broccolini. Our server Jonah was very knowledgeable about the menu he suggested just about everything and he was right! We've been here prior a couple times and this was by far our best experience. Ambiance is always nice.

My wife and I took her mother to Mac's Chiphouse for a late dinner on Mother's Day. The ambience is really nice in the restaurant. I ordered a glass of wine and the spinalis steak. It was cooked really well. We shared Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. They were all season well. I will say our waiter was not the best however, I would return.

Great food, great service, recommend this place for a great steak. We had a decent sized work dinner (14) and they accommodated us comfortably on the 2nd floor, never an empty glass, food was spot on. Went with the 12oz barrel cut filet with Oscar topping, thick, juicy, great cut of beef.

Lemon drop martini, beef Wellington bites, side trio, mushrooms, Mac and cheese, creamed spinach.

Food is always great and the service matches the food. Incredible staff and food every time. Great bar and bartenders, managers and RAs.

My visit to Mac's Chophouse was pretty much a one-and-done experience. While the ambience was nice--elegant and inviting--it didn't make up for the lackluster service and food quality. It took almost 10 minutes just to be acknowledged by the hostess and seated, which set the tone for the evening. When I finally ordered, I asked for my steak to be cooked medium, but it arrived rare. At a place like this, I expected them to get the steak temperature right, but that wasn't the case. Overall, while the atmosphere was pleasant, the experience was quite disappointing.

We went to Mac's for my fiancés birthday and it was the most incredible experience from the moment we walked in the door. The host was so kind, and even told him happy birthday (which just shows they notice these things on the reservations), our servers David & Brooke were absolutely incredible. We also had Max bring us our food and he was so friendly. We got the tomahawk ribeye to share, a wedge salad, pimento cheese fritters & the trio of sides. We decided to forego dessert and they brought us a special dessert on the house for his birthday. They were extremely attentive, never let our drinks go empty and everything tasted delicious. We definitely will be back very soon!!!

We enjoyed this dining experience. It's all about the aesthetics of this restaurant, just a vibe all on its own. We tried a few dishes and I'll say stick with the steak when at a chophouse. That's my bad. The extra crispy springer MTN chicken was perfectly crispy, but in my opinion and my wife's it needed more salt/seasoning salt. The steak with the gravy on it was . We also enjoyed the balsamic brussel sprouts so much we ordered twice. The Mac n cheese was perfect and the mashed potatoes are very creamy. The staff is very attentive, helpful, and generous. On Father's Day my waiter gave us a complimentary homemade cherry ice cream lava cake type of dessert. Wowser. We'll certainly be back and I'll get the steak next time. Great spot for a special evening.

I went to Soho Lounge for a girls' night with friends and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised…read more I am usually a little hesitant about lounges but this is easily one of the better ones in the Atlanta area. Parking One of the first things I appreciated was the parking situation. You actually have options here. Valet was twenty dollars which I chose, or you can park for free yourself. A lot of lounges make you pay for parking so I thought this was a nice touch. Atmosphere and Seating I found the lounge through a quick Google search and was drawn in by the fact that they had both a live band and the legendary DJ Frank Ski performing that night. The vibe is definitely mature with people dressed in linen suits, nice dresses and heels. I did not make a reservation and arrived about forty five minutes after opening. At that point the bar was already full and the only free option was a shared section for walk-ins. Honestly it worked out well. The section easily fit twelve to fifteen people and we had more than enough space. I strongly recommend making a reservation if you want your own table. Food and Drinks The menu is pretty limited but I split the seafood plate with a friend. It came with fried catfish, shrimp, and potato rounds. Everything was hot, well seasoned, and came out quickly. For drinks I had two French 75s with cognac and they were made perfectly balanced and smooth. Service Our server Taya was wonderful. She was attentive, friendly, and patient with all of our questions. The only hiccup was with the hookah service. On the refill the hookah was not pulling correctly and it took a little back and forth before they swapped it out. Once it was fixed we were good to go. Overall Between the live entertainment, great drinks, solid food, and attentive service I had a really good time. I would definitely come back, especially with a reservation in place.

The beds seem a bit small so not sure how romantic that is. The floors are also quite squeaky if I remember correctly. Very charming! The inn is a popular spot for weddings. Their slogan is "we put the Marry in Marietta." They've won multiple awards from wedding service company The Knot. It's not hard to see why. The home is beautiful and for our party, it was tastefully and elegantly decorated for the holidays. In addition to weddings and holiday parties, the inn also hosts many corporate and social events. It's a charming, smaller, intimate setting. The house was traditionally decorated with Christmas wreaths and lights. As we walked up to the house, it looked like a scene from a Christmas movie. The home felt warm and inviting. I estimate we had about 100 attendees at the party. I believe the venue can host up to 150. Our party consisted of cocktails and dinner. A coat rack was set up in the office near the front door. A bar was set up in one of the parlors. The inn doesn't have a liquor license, so we had to bring our own alcohol. Food was catered by Carriage House Catering, which is located on-site. The small dining room had a dessert table, tea and water, and a coffee station. The dessert table's centerpiece was a classic gingerbread house. It was surrounded by chocolate bourbon pecan pies (derby pie), large glass containers filled with creme brulee and colorful berries, plates of baked brie, and other decadent sweets. Coffee was kept warm and stored in an ornate silver coffee dispenser. Chocolate shavings and a bowl of whipped cream were available to add to the coffee. Dinner was served buffet-style and consisted of a mixed field salad with cherries, walnuts, Parmesan, and a spiced orange vinaigrette, hot Charleston crab dip served with flatbreads, sauteed seasonal vegetables including carrots, zucchini, and asparagus, red skin mashed potatoes, sliced prime rib in a rosemary au jus with spicy horseradish sauce, roasted salmon fillets cooked with pomegranate buerre blanc (white butter), and dinner rolls. Overall, the food was pretty good. The salmon was dry, but that was the only "bad" thing. Most of the other items were delicious. My favorites were the flavorful field salad, the savory vegetables, and the consistently soft and appetizing mashed potatoes. The desserts were excellent and the coffee station was fun. I enjoyed the rich chocolate bourbon pecan pie. Service was good. The bartenders filled drinks to the brim and servers made sure the buffet was replenished regularly and finished plates were cleared from the tables. Our dinner took place in the large ballroom which had chandelier lighting. There was a pianist in the dining room who played Christmas music non-stop throughout the night (3-4 hours). Aside from the ballroom, the house has many areas to congregate and socialize including the aforementioned dining room and parlor rooms, as well as front and back porches outside. There are also gardens outside. Inside, holiday decor included a brightly lit tree, festive candles, Nutcrackers, Christmas trumpets, poinsettias, and a staircase lined with ornamented garlands. It was picturesque. Plenty of parking is available at SunTrust Bank next door or across the street at First United Methodist Church. I recommend parking at the bank so you don't have to walk across the street.
