Chips, queso and salsa
Randy B.

Best Mexican food and service in Cobb County. We drive 30 minutes to get there. The staff is always pleasant and smiling. The salsa, queso and chips are the best. Have never had an entree I didn't like although the Chewy dinner is my fave, either chicken or steak. Full bar with great margaritas. Entertainment almost every evening including trivia, bingo and singers. They have two locations, but we go to Dallas Hwy and Barrett Parkway.

The food was a D+. The tamale was hard. The salsa was the only good thing. The service was sloooow and they weren't even busy. Our server had a sour expression the entire time he served us. Never said please or thank you. Not once. He was curt bordering on surly. The beef in the tacos and enchiladas, the rice, and the refried beans were completely flavorless. We won't be back. This is just a couple of steps above Taco Bell. This is Mexican food for people who don't know what real Mexican food is. Now I'm sick to my stomach. We should have walked out the second I almost cracked a molar biting down on the tamale. The tamale filling was flavorless of course. They got our order wrong and it took forever to get a replacement. Remember, they're almost empty. The ambience was what you'd expect from a typical Mexican restaurant. Looked clean.

This is set up like an Applebees. The service was friendly and great. However the food was lacking flavor. Spices and salt were missing. Even the salsa served with chips was bland. The margaritas are made with a mix that contains gluten, so my daughter with celiac couldn't have the house special $4.99 per glass. She opted for the Skinny Margarita that was GF. We found out that on Wednesdays they have $1.99 tacos. And the teacher discount for 15% off your total bill makes it worth the visit.

Not a bad spot. Would not be our go to place but it was an okay try. He salsa was not very flavorful but the chips were very good. The portions were a good size, but not as flavorful as our favorite. The staff were friendly and the place was clean. Not too noisy and service was fast. I would have done 3.5, but can't do half stars.

Yelp's Big Night In

For Yelp's Big Night In we decided to try a New Mexican restaurant nearby. We ordered online and picked it up at the restaurant. It went very smoothly! Got the order home and everything was great. I ordered a spinach and cheese quesadilla - my empty plate speaks for itself! My family ordered a variety of dishes. Everything was delicious! We will definitely be back when we are ready to dine in!

Strictly to-go order. But in a time like 2020, these reviews are critical. TLDR; Pros: Quick, Friendly, Tastes Great, COVID Aware (masks, sanitizer, social distancing) Cons: Forgot my jalapeños haha! Wont dock here. I've always driven past this restaurant but never stopped. Thankfully I'm glad I did. Pulled up to the front and walked in to see everyone masked and social distanced. I was promptly greeted and given a paper menu. They do have regular menus, but didn't need since I wasn't dining in. The menu is vast. So many traditional items to order. So everyone could find something they like. The gentleman advised me of the specials of the evening and proceeded to take my order. Super easy- large order of queso and guacamole. Interesting feature- they offer two types: creamy or chunky! I ordered the creamy and waited for my order. Not even 7 minutes later, the gentleman reappeared with everything. The food was piping hot when I got through the door and absolutely delicious. The creamy guacamole is where it's at! I will absolutely return and can't wait to sit down in the restaurant and enjoy a full meal!

Mac's is a well known local eatery, often for special occasions as it is a bit pricey. It has a…read morevery old rustic atmosphere that is quite nice with loft like open ceilings and patched exposed red brick walls. Due to the openness of the dining room, it is on the louder side making it difficult to talk with folks not sitting directly next to order across from one another. Service was very good, attentive, and frirfriendly. My wife and I both had ceasar salad, filet medium rare, and strawberry topped cheesecake. For sides we had asparagus and mashed potatoes. The sides wete quite good, the best part of our meals. The salad was okay though the dressing was on the more bland side and fresh ground pepper helped its flavor profile quite a bit. For a restaurant calling itself a "chophouse" and supposedly upscale, you would think they would know how to cook a steak or use a better quality steak. Our filets were cooked to proper temperature but lacked any taste of salt or seasoning and lacked any searing on the outside. The meat was chewy rather than tender and made us wonder "what's so special about this place" where parking availability is also a challenge!? So you would think dessert would be hard to mess up, but our cheesecake was nothing special at all. We've had better tasting Sara Lee cheesecake from the supermarket; definitely below expectation. We'll consider giving it another try, but at their prices there are so many other tried and true steakhouse we much prefer.

This restaurant is located in…read moreunincorporated north Marietta, near Kennesaw; if you're looking for a decent steakhouse in this area, I give this place a thumbs up. The atmosphere isn't as stuffy or as formal like a steakhouse in the city (e.g., Buckhead), but it's still nice. Book your reservation using OpenTable and get dining points. There's a big dedicated parking lot around the building with plenty of free parking. No valet. We had a party of five and shared a lot of dishes. Here's what I had: Classic Cocktails * Dirty Martini ($15) - Hanson Original Vodka, Foro Dry Vermouth, olive juice, pimento olives Appetizers * Oysters on the Half Shell (12 for $33) - cocktail sauce and horseradish; James River, Virginia Sides * White Cheddar Mac & Cheese ($9) * Hawaiian Roasted Brussels Sprouts ($11) - with smoked bacon and Parmesan cheese Signature Cuts * Cherokee Western Luau (14 oz steak, $54) - ribeye marinated for 48 hours in pineapple, soy and ginger, "a Cherokee favorite;" 1855 Black Angus Beef from Grand Island, NE House Specials * Black Jack Salmon ($34) - wood-grilled and basted with Jack Daniel's glaze and served with crusted mashed potatoes and EVOO broccolini Desserts * Bananas Foster ($12) - flambeed tableside We also got cheese bread to start (bread with melted cheese on top, with a creamy white sauce). Everything was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed everything, starting with the martini, which was well-made. The oysters were big, fresh, and tasty. The Cherokee Western Luau was recommended to me by our server. He was so convincing that my friend changed his order to get a Western Luau too. It was fantastic, perfectly cooked to medium rare. The salmon was terrific as well, nicely cooked, tender, and flavorful (another excellent choice as well). The Bananas Foster wasn't flambeed tableside as described on the menu, so that was disappointing. However, it still tasted good. Our server was Cason B and he was great. He made an excellent recommendation on the Western Luau and was just a nice guy overall. The hostess was friendly too and helped us take a picture in the lobby. Cherokee Chophouse used to be Cherokee Cattle Company. After COVID, it reopened as Cherokee Chophouse in November 2022. It's part of the Marietta Diner and Marietta Fish Market family.

Fives across the board…read more Casi Cielo is incredible. The space is warm and beautiful without trying too hard, and the crowd was hip and well dressed. Definitely a place to be seen and eat well. There's a parking garage but it was full when we got there, so we did valet, which was surprisingly affordable. Service was wonderful. Our server was attentive, helpful, and super knowledgeable about the menu. As for the food, we got: Aguachile de Pescado, which was insane. Super fresh, bright, citrusy, ceviche-like with perfect texture. I would go back just for that. The Hamachi was clean and bright. That avocado sauce tied everything together and gave it some depth without overpowering the fish. The Pork Belly Tostadas were crispy and rich with that smooth avocado mousse and sweet mango salsa balancing it out perfectly. Finally, the bone marrow with steak... so good. I had seen pictures of it before I came and it did not disappoint. The steak was incredibly tender. They bring blue corn tortillas and suggest making a taco with the marrow, steak, and avocado. It's great that way. But honestly, the marrow and steak stand perfectly on their own. Whole experience was excellent. Easily one of my favorite spots in the city now.

Right when we walked in, the staff complained to us that we hadn't called ahead to have a "smaller, special menu" crafted for a large party. To make matters worse, they loudly announced to the whole table right off rip that they wouldn't split checks separately--only an even split. It felt incredibly rude, lazy, and unwelcoming. The irony is that the large group size wasn't even an issue; we staggered our arrivals and the patio was completely empty. The kicker- my brother in law ended up paying the whole tab at the end anyways! so all of that initial laziness & nastiness for NOTHING! Throughout the night, the service felt incredibly rushed and stressed. While we were still eating our appetizers, the busser was aggressively trying to clear our plates because the mains were coming. Our server was very short with us the entire time, which was confusing because the restaurant didn't even have a stressful vibe. She recommended a main dish to me that I really didn't care for, though I will say the salsa was unique and probably the best part of the meal. Shoutout to the one staff member who was actually friendly, but overall, this is not the kind of place where you leave feeling like you had a nice restaurant experience- at least I personally didn't.. Too bad we didn't just go to C&S next door which we always love. Regardless tho, my sister had a blast, but that's entirely because she has a wonderful crew of great friends, not because of Casi Cielo.

We were a group of 5 and that was pushing it so I'd definitely say no more than 5-6 people. We sat outside and the weather was beautiful. Just a heads up--this restaurant seems to be dog friendly. As a dog owner myself that is something I'd like to know but I understand the hesitation when you're sitting and eating next to a dog. However, doesn't take away from the cleanliness or the service of the restaurant. We ordered the Mezze trio as an appetizer. Everyone loved the hummus however my favorite was the red beet root. I also loved that they can refill the pita bread which went by quickly. Most of the table ordered the lamb skewers which I thought was a good. I'd give it an 8/10. I thought the flavors paired nicely and it was a different taste than the skewers I've ordered before. My brother ordered the salmon and he really enjoyed that. The service was nice however it did take at least 45 minutes for us to get our food which was a bummer. Definitely could see this being a nice, chill lunch or dinner spot.
