I have been here twice and both times enjoyed the experience. The first time I ate inside and fell in love with their Carribean chicken. It came with string beans and mashed sweet potatoes. They have different portion sizes which I really like since I don't usually eat large portions. However, the small portion is always too much for me, and I am 5'9". The server was very polite as well. The second time I went I sat out in the patio where they play live reggae music. They have the best salmon salad ever and I love the piña coladas. Great atmosphere, and they also have live music. The food is absolutely amazing and the staff is very friendly. This past weekend was my 3rd visit in a few years to BB but this time we dropped in after the Caribbean festival (out of town). I ordered the lobster and shrimp linguine. It was good and the lobster was generously given in big pieces. I feared it would be skimped. The shrimp had a delicious creole-like flavor. My favorite dessert in the world is the upside-down chocolate pineapple cake. The coconut cake was good too. My sister wanted a bit of everything for the value of $30. She ordered the kunk fritters (too tiny), jerk chicken (amazing), plantain chicken salsa dish, and the coconut cake. My mom's paella was too salty and substituted it for the plantain chicken salsa dish. Our waitress/kitchen did well fixing up my mom's meal quickly while we were still eating. Lobster and Shrimp Linguine - tossed with mushrooms in a lobster cream sauce, $19.99. Very creamy and very filling. Plenty of small shrimp! Yum. Mojo-Marinated Pulled Pork consists of slow-roasted pulled pork, served over plantains with sweet and smoky barbecue sauce for $6.99. Very tender, comes with 3 large pieces. The signature sauce is tasty, but you don't necessarily have to mix/dip. Beautiful and delicious appetizer. Can't say it's the best pulled pork I've ever had, but it's pretty good! Calypso Shrimp Linguine, $13.49, has tons of small shrimp, much like the Lobster and Shrimp Linguine. These 2 dishes are very similar. The difference is that the Calypso Shrimp Linguine is mildly spicy and has tomatoes, making it more red in color than the Lobster and Shrimp Linguine. If you like thick pasta sauce, go for the Lobster and Shrimp; if you like thin pasta sauce (watery), go for the Calypso Shrimp but try to avoid wearing a white shirt and creating red stains all over when you slurp up the noodles! Bahama Mama - Malibu, Myers's Dark and Bacardi rums, Banana Liqueur, pineapple and orange juice, a popular drink here. Sweet and tropical, it comes in a giant glass, much like a goblet. Chocolate Island - very rich and chocolatey! I had such a large meal that I could barely finish this delectable dessert, but I saw many people order this and just had to try it for myself! Overall, this place is nice to try at least once. Since they offer drinks here, they will kindly assist with finding you a ride back home so you don't drink and drive. Wide variety of options to choose from, very colorful presentation, and plenty of seating. Half the seating is in a darker area, much like the typical Outback Steakhouse or Chili's (there's also a bar in the center), while the other half of seating has glass windows such that you can view the outdoor scene while still dining indoors (there are also large fans and a live band in this area). However, on that note, when my aunt and I arrived, we were initially seated at a large table directly in front of the live band. It's not very ideal to have music blasting directly into your ears as you try to enjoy dinner. With larger parties, you'll also end up shouting at each other without any luck of hearing one another as you try to converse. Thus, we asked to be moved, and our waiter did not like this request. We were assigned another waiter (who was very kind) and given another large table for just the 2 of us. At one point, our waiter was nowhere to be seen for the longest time, so we tried to ask the first waiter for a simple request - to have an empty plate so we could share our dishes. He was not extremely busy, yet he refused to help and shortly replied, "I'm not your waiter." Well, EXCUSE ME. Talk about RUDE! That was the only negative experience. Stopped in for lunch on a tuesday and these guys were pretty packed for a lunch crowd. The first thing youre going to notice is the place is quite big inside and so are the prices. I would only expect to pay $14 for an order of 7 wings at a club but thats what they will run you here. Stuff is expensive in general but for lunch they have a lunch menu that although the portions are quite small, the firecracker shrimp was good. and by small i mean each taco had 2 small pieces of shrimp. This place has the best happy hour specials. It's perfect for young (and old) people on a tight budget! Bahama Breeze offers half-priced appetizers from 4-6 PM and then again from 9 pm to close. And these aren't small appetizers, they can be eaten as a meal. It may not be a fine-dining experience, but the food hits the spot, the bill doesn't break the bank, and the servers (especially the girl with short hair) are very friendly. If I lived in Raleigh, I doubt I'd be a regular here, but once in a while, it would be fun to meet up with friends and enjoy some cheap eats and a pint. read more

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the wait. I had never been before but everyone I did know who has always said we can go but the wait is going to take forever so we've always went elsewhere. Well this night I happen to find two seats at the bar a lady was so gracious to slide over so we could sit together. The goid was so good I had the jerk pasta I actually had a half size wh a Cesar salad I ate it all. I was so stuffed from eating but it was so flavorful my date has salmon and said it was really good. The drinks were perfect as well. I typically get the bed empanadas and jerk chicken wings however I decided to try something new and I got the taste of Jamaica. This entree came with greens, black beans and rice, pulled jerk pork, jerk chicken, a beef empanada, and fried plantains. The food was ok. My least favorite thing was the greens. The pulled jerk pork and black beans and rice were delicious. This was not a bad deal for 19.99. Our waitress was polite. I've never been disappointed with this place. We went last night (Saturday) and they were slammed busy with large parties. We had made a reservation earlier in the day so no problems for us. We overheard the hostess tell another party that they had two 30 tops and three 15 tops they were currently serving, and because of that, the walk in wait time for a 4 top was two hours! However, the hostess had us line up in a separate reservation line and we were seated in less than 5 minutes. Food was great, service was quick, and our waitress was awesome. We ordered a pitcher of a *signature* cocktail, the Tamarind margarita. About 10 minutes after we ordered it waitress returned to tell us they were out of them. We were very disappointed :( waitress was gracious and recommended the passion fruit or the classic. We got the classic margarita and it was amazing. Sooo refreshing, a real margarita. 2.
