So in return, I stared into that poor woman's soul and I cursed her blood line with 500 years of infertility. NO BODY MESSES WITH THE BEA! I've gone to this location for 4+ years don't know exactly when it got this bad but the last couple times I've gone my order is messed up in some way the first time I didn't ask for a flat top specifically said no when they asked got a flat top anyway not big but annoying anyway so I come back today and get my classic strawberry snow cone simple but whatever I got was not the strawberry flavor or color I know and the flavoring didn't even get through all the snow so there were just parts of unflavored ice it took me 12 minutes to for this I'm not a big complainer but I pay for something I want it plain and simple I'm probably done with this location hope they can get it together read more

My husband and I haven't been on a date in over six months, because we had a baby about a year ago and life is busy, but we came to TX to visit family and they gave us the opportunity to go on a date! We chose Bahama Bucks with our hour of freedom, and they did not disappoint! The staff there are amazing, and they made our night! I have been coming to this location for years now, and usually have pretty good experiences, and if there's been an issue with my order the staff has always been friendly and fixed it quickly. Last night however was a different story. I went with my family and we ordered 2 snos and 1 smoothie, I ordered the creamsicle sno because I have been seeing ads for it on social media a lot and thought it looked good. Apparently there is also a smoothie version but I specifically asked for the sno and the employee that took our order did not ask anything to clarify or confirm, so I just assumed that meant he got my order. But when our order was ready they had made 2 smoothies and 1 sno, they had made mine into a smoothie. I went to the counter and told the employee it was supposed to be a sno and not a smoothie and he said "you ordered the smoothie" and rolled his eyes and then said "but we'll remake it for you" and walked off. The employee was then loudly telling the other employees that I ordered incorrectly and wanted it remade. I didn't say anything because I wasn't trying to argue over it, but it was very uncomfortable the way he was acting like I did something wrong. He then gave me my sno and it was also not made correctly, it was missing the tropic cream and ice cream that made it an orange creamsicle. I just received an orange sno. I did not approach the employees again because I did not want the confrontation, but it was very frustrating to have paid over $6 for a small snocone and not have it made correctly TWICE. There did not appear to be a manager working at the time as all the employees were teenagers, and there was no contact or feedback forms available in the app or on their website, they just direct me to contact the store directly with an issue. So since there wasn't another way to provide this feedback I figured I'd leave this here. Yes, this is just over a sno cone so it's not really a serious matter, but it was a frustrating experience to have such a rude/awkward experience with the employee and also to not have my order made correctly. read more

The service was extremely slow. I waited about 20 minutes for a shaved ice. The drive through was moving just as slowly. There were 4 people working the drive through and 2 working the counter. 1 was making everything and the other was working the register. It was apparent a few of the workers there didn't know what they were doing just yet. Perhaps some newbies just started doing the job for summer?? I can't be 100% about that part. Bahama Buck's is my favorite shaved ice business in the whole state of Texas. It is a chain so you can find them in many cities. The ice is soft and the menu is vast. They not only have shaved ice, but they also have combos with ice cream, smoothies, and more. If you want something different, try a Bahama Rama Mama - it's shaved ice with ice cream in it. On hot summer days, Bahama Buck's is my go to. This location is particular gets very busy. If it's a warm afternoon, you could wait up to 20-30 minutes in the drive thru line. If you go through the drive thru, they ask if you want a flat top so the extra shaved ice doesn't melt in your car. The staff is generally friendly; typically they hire teenagers so they're nice but not the quickest team. The inside of the building does get messy and crowded but they do have outdoor seating. If you live in Texas and have never been to Bahama Buck's, get there soon! read more

The only reason why this a 4 star review vs 5 star is because service time is hit or miss. Today was perfection my ice was ready when I got to the window. However, It's not usual to have to wait over 10min. I know they don't make them until you order so I try to be patient. But, 10-15min in a drive thru sucks. We just left this location and I just wanted to leave a review in case the owner reads this. I am all for hiring high schoolers and giving them the opportunity to have a job, but I'd make sure these kids know how to run your shop since I feel they might lose you business after what we experienced tonight. When we pulled up, the line was long. We figured a snow cone line can't take that long, but was shocked how long we waited. We spent at least 25 minutes in the drive-thru and had a front row spot to a lot of chaos at the window as to why it took that long. First we saw them hand the car in front of us our order and shut the window. The customer had to knock on the window to tell them it wasn't theirs, and then we saw the employee lay it back on the counter. Thinking it will be a quick fix turned into another long wait and watching the kids just laughing at their mess up. Nobody seemed in a rush to fix it and saw many of them laughing and standing around. We even see one of our snow cones get picked up by one of the kids and him start eating it. I get they probably knew they shouldn't serve it since it was first served to the wrong customer, but don't eat it right where your customers are waiting. Anyway, so we wait for about 5 minutes for them to figure out the right order for the car in front of us. When we finally get to the window, they try to hand us another wrong order. We say they're not ours and then they ask what we ordered. Of course, then they realize they ate ours and gave the other to another assumed friend in line inside the shop during the time the car in front of us waited on theirs. So again, we wait another 3-4 minutes for them make our snow cone again. What's sad is while we waited, again we saw about 3 kids standing around talking, eating, laughing at the screw up they made, and just overall not helping the others try to catch up on the long line. We never even saw an adult walk through to check on these employees and I feel they definitely needed some redirecting due to how slow and wasteful they were being. Our snow cones tasted great thankfully after that long wait, but as an owner of a business I'd want to know if my customers saw this. The drive thru and the parking lot for going inside was full and to me that's a good sign. As a transplant from Lubbock - I Love Bahama Bucks and have always been blessed to live near one. This one has an inside seating area which is always great. However, they need some improvement in a few areas. 1) the tables were all sticky and the floors were ridiculously sticky. I get that they serve a sticky treat BUT I've been to other Bahama Buck's that were just as busy and their staff was able to keep the tables & floors clean and sticky-free. 2) For $3-$5 per snow cone I expect to not see any white snow in my snow cone. Out of our order of 5 cones - we had to take 2 of them back to have more flavor added because they were not made properly and 2 others needed to go back but they were too embarrassed to ask. I feel like for $3-$5 I expect more. I'd say this location needs more training before I'm willing to go back. Sad day. read more
