I thought I would get a classic snow cone like the ones I've been getting from local stands for years, but the ice on this one was soo soft and smooth! For a gal who almost never craves shaved ice, Bahama Bucks is pretty amazing. It honestly was way better than what I had my expectations set. When I've had shaved ice before, the flavor strips tend to be extremely strong and have a weird aftertaste, but not here. We ordered the Banana Rama Mama which has ice cream at the bottom (your pick between vanilla, chocolate & strawberry), shaved ice on top with any flavors you want, and some coconut based cream. I got just one flavor - passion fruit, but we also got a Horchata one (both with vanilla ice cream). The shaved ice was so good! It didn't crumble into one big block of ice or get melted immediately, the syrup was the perfect mix of flavor and sweet, and the ice cream made it the perfect combination. We had a dog with us, and although we were told that he was not allowed inside, we got a pup sno (shaved ice with sprinkles) for him! 5/5 for their service as well! read more

Bahama Buck's is a bucking amazing place! I have heard of their stuff for a while but I had no idea I would like it as much as I did! I am not the biggest fan of sno-cones, so I ended up getting a smoothie when I visited here. Lemme tell you, it was the best smoothie I have ever had in my entire life. It has such simple ingredients--just fruit and greek yogurt. So I am not really sure what made it SO AMAZING but it was worth all the hype. I thought the service here was really fast; it only took a few minutes to blend up my drink and then serve it. The girl at the window and the girl taking my order over the headset were both pretty nice, which is always a plus! I do wish they had some sort of food truck or just something closer to Lehi. There is the one in Draper so it's not that far from Lehi but I dread point of the mountain haha. Imagine a Beach Boys album mixed with a Jack Johnson album in the form of a restaurant. It's relaxed, playful, beach-themed and makes you want to put on a swimsuit and soak up the sun. I used pocket points to get a free small shaved ice with the option of any flavors on the menu. I had the piña colada which was INCREDIBLE. They put the perfect proportions of syrup to ice and the texture was just delightful the whole time. Plus, the small is actually huge! It was a busy night when I went, but there was still plenty of sitting room so it didn't feel the least bit crowded, and there were plenty of games for everyone to pick through. Ok I don't get it. My kids love this place and say it is real good. They took me for the first time and I have to say I was not super impressed. So why a 4 star review? Well the grand kids enjoyed it and that is a four star in my book. Sometimes when you review it is important to see what the others in your party think and incorporate that into your review. Everyone had different flavors. The snowie type of machine made the ice very light and fluffy. The flavors are noting out of the ordinary but there are a lot to chose from. The staff was nice, service good and the place was clean-- a plus in my book. Next time you want your kids or grand kids happy take them to a place that has snow cones. The price is also reasonable. Been here a few times now and I'm loving it. The service has always been really nice albeit not always the fastest. I love that they offer hot and cold options so you can come year round for any type of dessert that fits your mood. I haven't tried any hot options yet but I got the Frozen Hot Koko and liked it. I would recommend getting a smaller size cuz it gets tiring after a while, but it's enjoyable for the most part. I love love love the snow cones though. Their flavors are diverse (pickle juice flavor included), toppings are creative, quantity is astronomical, and quality is top notch. I think this is my 7th or 8th time killing myself with delicious flavors at this Bahama Buck's location. I seriously love it. I'm waiting for a bad experience still. To be fair, I do only get the shaved ice with no ice cream or anything else so I may not be the best opinion on the other menu items. Tonight I once again braved the sour flavors menu! The risk paid off. We (my wife and I) gritted our teeth in search of the very best heaven juices (also known as shaved ice flavors to mortals). We decided on the trifecta of white coconut, sour red raspberry, and sour apple. Seriously I can't say enough about their sour flavors. I mean, I love sour sweets and flavors, but BB's takes this to an entirely new level . . . a level that is out of this realm of flavor profiles. But, being real, the flavors were awesome. I think I prefer toasted coconut to white coconut. Until now, sour red raspberry was my go-to base flavor, but now I think it's been replaced with sour apple. 12/10 stars on that flavor. Finally, we used our punch card tonight to get our shaved ice for free. It's probably a little thing, but I think it's infinitely cool that you can get any size shaved ice for free once you get 10 punches on your card. I mean, let's be real, is anyone ever buying the 32-oz shaved ice to get one stamp? No. Unless I'm just the cheapest person on earth, I'm assuming everyone gets a small, medium, large to get their stamps. Long story short, I got the 32-oz. Did I regret it? Yes. I wish I had bought two 32-oz shaved ices. 10/10 would try again. read more

The snow cone syrup melts down and makes the ice cream so soft. It is such a treat to get a group of friends and go to Bahama Bucks! It is especially worth it if you use an app called Pocket Points which was specifically made for students to gain points while on campus in class without the use of their phones. Hmmmm this is more unhealthy than soda... but i really like it... what if i just crush some ice and pour it on top? Is that okay? And what if I just add a scoop of ice cream to the bottom... what are your thoughts on that? Utahns will learn to appreciate it when it gets hot outside. Let's get down to the flavor basics. There is no limit to what kind of flavors they have here. I haven't counted or had them all, but I'm dog gone willing to try. My favorites include: Red Raspberry, Birthday Cake, Blue Raspberry, Horchata, Wedding Cake, and Cola. You must always, ALWAYS get the Bahama Rama Mama. It's a need. It comes with your choice of flavor, creme on top, and ice cream on the bottom. Literally all you need in life!!
