This was my second time having braces (first time when I was 14) and I couldn't be happier with my result! From the beginning Dr.Olson told me it would be 12-18 months and I was finished right in the middle of that! Got them on in the end of November and got them off in the end of January exactly 14 months. Every time I went into the office the ladies greeted me by name and always made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. I love that they automatically give you permanent retainers and also a pop in and out version to wear at night. Overall we had a fantastic appointment and everyone was very polite and nice. Great service. I was pretty overstimulated when I walked in the office. I get that they're trying to create a fun atmosphere for kids while they wait. My daughter is 2 and does not watch screens and there were screens everywhere. I realize I'm the minority with this. The tree in the middle is nice so I was having her point out the different animals in the tree. I appreciate that we had a private room for her first appointment, as I noticed several chairs in an open space. As expected, my daughter cried and was not a fan of getting her teeth looked at. Originally, we went where our family dentist referred us. I was not comfortable with the way they operate. Looking for a second opinion, a friend suggested West Valley Pediatric Dentist. From the receptionist, to scheduling, to the hygienist, and the dentist himself, everyone was very personable. Everything was explained thoroughly. Options were given as how to proceed. The procedure was broken up into two sessions. My son left both sessions happy and said he liked going to the dentist. Even without the prize machines at the end, I think he would have said that. It has been a few months since the last appointment. No problems with the work that was done.

We had been going to this office since our child's first ever dental visit. We were told our child had 4 cavities and needed multiple teeth out and that it had to be done right away. They would also need to put our child under full anesthesia for these procedures. That didn't sit well with us so we went for a second opinion. The second dentist agreed the teeth needed out, but couldn't find 4 cavities and that we had about a year to do all of this before it became a problem. We came back for all the work to be done, but without anesthesia. They agreed to a twilight sleepy medicine. Our child did well with the twilight but WVPD said they didn't have enough time to complete all the work and that we would need to return and that they would only do it under full anesthesia. This did not sit well with us on pushing full anesthesia, so we went for a third opinion. Again, they could not find the cavities that WVPD found. We even had the records sent over to our new dentist and still could not be found. Our child needed a third tooth pulled that we knew about. This new dentist did a local anesthetic and our child did awesome! After researching it seems WVPD is owned by an anesthesiologist and that is why they push the fully under for kids dental procedures.

We have been going to Palm Valley pediatric dentist for about two years now and she now loves the dentist! They are extremely patient with her and explain everything they are doing. They also make the experience super fun for kids. There's a playroom in the waiting area. Kids can also watch movies while they wait for play computer games. Once you are called in there are adorable dinosaurs chairs and they get to watch Netflix as they are getting their work done. All of the doctors have been wonderful and explain everything they are doing step by step. This dentist is very recommended. My three littles are happy customers and so am I.

The office is immediately welcoming to my young kids (3, 2 and 1) with a treehouse to play on!! Kid friendly magazines and a movie we're playing as well. The front office staff were kind and welcoming to me and my girls. It made them feel so welcome and safe. The cleaning took place on a long flat seat, and they were given a choice of movies to watch and comfortable headphones for listening. While my other daughters waited, there was a playroom adjacent to the exam area and my girls were told to feel comfortable wandering back and forth as they needed. The dental hygienist was kind and patient and excited about her work. You could tell she loved working with kids! And my girls loved her! Then dentist himself was wonderful and personable to me... being a male, and bit loud, he made my girls a little nervous, but they warmed up quickly when they saw that I was comfortable. As we exited, the girls were given a special coin to get a treat out of the vending machine the office has!! They were thrilled! I would absolutely recommend this place to everyone! And hurry before they stop taking new patients, as amazing of a place as this is, that is sure to happen!

My husband and I both attended our appointment, and we were completely caught off guard at our second visit when additional details about the treatment were brought up that had never been discussed beforehand. I had a long conversation with both the dentist and the hygienist explaining how important it is for me to understand everything in advance so that I can build trust and feel comfortable moving forward. Despite that conversation, immediately after completing the treatment, we were informed that a second treatment would be required something that was never previously mentioned. The lack of communication and transparency is extremely frustrating. We will not be returning and cannot recommend this office based on our experience.
