The procedure was simple enough, but the details in explaining was by far more helpful. I loved her office so much from the ease of getting in, the kind office staff to Dr Coleman, I switched dentists completely and also added my son as a patient as he got older. I could not say enough wonderful things about her or her staff. Her husband was so kind to get us in, and explained everything so well. They do take a payments with the ties, which was helpful because as a new mom, I was exhausted and of course wasn't on my A game with just life. Wish I could give them more stars! read more

Excellent. Just excellent. My son had a tongue tie that needed repaired. I called and they literally got me in the next day. I could have cried I was so happy. We had been having a lot of nursing problems and I didn't want to have to suffer for another week. In the office Dr. Coleman was very personable and informative. I am a question asker and honestly... she gave us such a good rundown of the procedure that she answered most of my questions before I could ask them. She also did not overwhelm us with information, but gave us just what we needed. She seemed to genuinely care and want good success for us after the procedure and in the following weeks. Man. Prior to this experience, our interactions with Dr. Coleman's office had been consistently positive. Dr. Coleman had performed a tongue tie release for my son shortly after birth and for myself as an adult. Her demeanor and professionalism has always been commendable, and I often recommended her to friends seeking pediatric dental care. When my son turned 2 in December, I was eager to introduce him to regular dental visits due to our family's history of dental issues. He had previously visited Dr. Coleman twice, once for his tongue tie release and another for a brief checkup around 16 months. Originally, I had scheduled a cleaning for March 5. However, in the weeks leading up to the appointment, my son had several traumatic experiences with doctors due to illness. Knowing he was now terrified of medical settings, I decided to cancel the cleaning to spare him unnecessary stress. When I called the office on February 13 to cancel the upcoming appointment, the receptionist suggested bringing him in for a "little tour" of the office to help ease his fears. I responded happily and expressed my gratitude. There was no mention of a charge for this visit, nor did I intend for him to undergo a cleaning. During the brief visit on March 5, my son interacted with the dental hygienist, Riley, who kindly showed him around, let him sit in the chair, and offered him some goodies. We were there for less than 10 minutes and left feeling positive about future visits. To my surprise, I received a bill for $100 the next day, which prompted me to call and clarify. The receptionist seemed taken aback and insisted that we had come in for a cleaning. I responded that it was not made clear to me when I was speaking with the receptionist on the 13th that I would be charged for that time. In fact, her words and tone implied that she was doing us a favor by letting us come in for a non-threatening visit to hopefully ease my son's fears for future visits. The next day, I got a call from Jake who seemed dismissive of my concerns and stated that "you should expect charges for any office visit." While I understand the value of time, it was not communicated to me that this visit would be billable. Jake eventually agreed to waive the fee, which could have been the end of our interaction. But he then proceeded to question my trust in their office, asking me why would I bring my son into their office if I didn't trust them enough to do their jobs? This insinuation was unwarranted and disrespectful given the traumatic experiences my son had recently endured. Moreover, Jake's insinuation that my decision not to permit Riley to perform a cleaning on my son amounted to a moral failing and an affront to Dr. Coleman's business was unjustified and lacked professionalism. Jake then stated that we should seek dental service elsewhere, another unwarranted comment. While I appreciate Dr. Coleman's office rectifying the situation, Jake's approach to customer communication warrants reconsideration. Such a shame, because I really like Dr. Coleman and think she's great at her job. But we'll be going elsewhere from now on. read more

We have had both of our kids lip/tongue ties done here and they were awesome both times! Nice friendly atmosphere with little prizes for the kids afterwards that make going to the dentist not so bad. Would recommend 100%! read more

I was having some issues with my phone and my alarm didn't go off, and so we missed our early morning appointment. They called (which my phone never even registered) and left a voicemail that sounded like they were concerned about our well-being since we missed the appointment, but when I called them back the receptionist (the same person who left the voicemail) sounded annoyed that we didn't miss it because of being hit by a bus or driving off a cliff. That's the reason I'm leaving this review. I thought a $90 rescheduling fee was rather steep, but it was the receptionist's attitude, like I had personally wronged them or something, that made me decide to leave my first-ever yelp review. I'm sure Dr. Coleman is great, as I've heard a lot of great things, but not sure if we'll pay double to find out for ourselves or not. read more

We were led to Dr. Coleman when we found out that baby had a lip tie and tongue tie that needed to be fixed. We called the office and they were able to get our baby in the same day. This was amazing because baby had lost weight, and was really causing damage on the boob while breastfeeding. At our appointment (baby was 3 days old) Dr. Coleman examined baby and showed us pictures of the problems. She explained some negative and positive effects of getting the procedure. After deciding to move forward, hubs stayed in the room while they were fixing the ties with a laser treatment. The treatment lasted about a minute and a half. I waited in the nursing room (which is very comfortable) and baby was brought to me after so she could nurse. She did cry which is to be expected, but at least I was able to comfort her in a nice environment after. Our biggest problems came with our first breastfeeding later that day. Since baby has to learn how to suck again, it took a while to get latched. But, baby wasn't fussy or anything later that night or the next day. She did great and we are so thankful for finding Dr. Coleman. If your baby needs to get this done, know that you are in good hands here. read more

She fixed our babies tongue and lip tie! She did a great job explaining everything, the benefits and cons of having the procedure done and not having it done. She also didn't try to push us to have it done, which I greatly appreciated. The treatment itself lasted only a minute. My husband was back with baby while I sat in the nursing area with my other child. She didn't want to nurse right after, but was able to calm her down in their comfy glider. We did have to pay out of pocket, but she gave us a filled out billing form to send to insurance and explained how to do that. Having this procedure done saved our breastfeeding journey and helped my baby overcome jaundice! Definitely recommend her! read more

Our pediatrician highly recommended Dr. Coleman for our newborn daughters upper lip and tongue tie revision. Dr.Coleman was very warm and welcoming and listened to all of our questions/concerns thoroughly before addressing them. She is so incredibly knowledgeable and really took the time to consult with us before her procedure. We never felt rushed by her or her staff which I loved. Our daughter healed perfectly and the after care instructions were very clearly explained to us. Our baby didn't show any signs of discomfort as soon as two days after her procedure. Scheduling wasn't difficult and the front office staff made sure to verify my insurance coverage before our visit. Dr.Coleman gave us a number to text or call anytime which as a new momma to a newborn was very reassuring just knowing I could reach them easily. They allowed me to text pictures of her healing which was also amazing not having to load her up and drive up there, one less trip! Probably one of the hardest and most frustrating endeavors of my life has been breastfeeding. I know, I know. You're probably wondering why I'm talking about breastfeeding on a dental review. Welllllll... buckle in, kids. It's a long story. When my son entered the world, it was not rainbows and sunshine like many women relay/experience. It was actually one of the worst experiences of my life due to complications, compounded by an extreme anxiety for medical procedures. Regardless, we made it, and he's so worth it! Those first few days home were a blur, exhausting, and he was eating pretty much around the clock. I was told this was normal and called cluster feeding. By the time 3 months came along, my son was still cluster feeding... I'm talking this kid was on the boob more than he was off. I just let him, because my mommy sense said to. He was eating ALL the time, 24/7, but he really wasn't gaining much weight. My ped was concerned and suggested supplementing. I wasn't ready to end my breastfeeding journey, and I knew supplementation could tank my supply, so I dug into research. I found a man, Dr. Ghaheri, out of Seattle who presented some pretty compelling research on tongue and lip ties and cheek buccals. (If you aren't familiar -- I wasn't -- google for images). Dr. G wrote about every struggle we had/were having, and I just knew that feeling of "something not quite right" was about to be solved. I made an appointment with a lactation consultant first (I can't say enough about the help and guidance of IBCLC lactation consultants!), and she assessed my little man. She quickly referred me to have him assessed for ties. Now, our insurance only covered ENTs who perform the tie revision with scissors. After reading about the differences in the way the procedure is performed, I chose to pay out of pocket for laser correction. Once that decision was made -- and if you're still reading you deserve a gold star -- I began to search for a dentist (recommended for a dentist to do this procedure, not ENT), and everyone in Oklahoma and some people in Kansas and Texas sang the praises of Dr. Bailey Coleman. HERE'S THE DENTIST PART! Upon arrival to her small but clean and fresh office in the heart of Midtown, I immediately felt relief. Bringing my baby in to purposefully cause pain was not high on my list of things I wanted to do, but after extensive research I knew it was the best decision. Lip and tongue ties can affect so many things: breastfeeding, gut bacteria/biome, acid reflux, sleeping, talking, choking, etc., and these issue could follow him into adulthood. I was able to make an appointment with Dr. Coleman for a week after the day I called. Dr. Coleman assesses in the appointment, and if the procedure needs to be done, she will perform in the same day. She talked to us for about 30 minutes and observed breastfeeding before she even got into my son's mouth. Best part? She brought up Dr. Ghaheri! She's a fan of his work and had even met him! It was one of those moments I felt so good in all the decisions and justified in all the struggles we had been having. She was able to not only show us the ties, but she got pictures of them and printed for us to take. He had lip, tongue, and cheek ties. It took all of 5 minutes to be completely done and back in the family friendly waiting space. There was a little bit of blood, but she numbs the area with a local compound that's infant friendly. She also placed my baby in a tight swaddle and placed glasses on him to protect from the laser. She sent us home with explicit instructions on care, and she even gave us her personal cell number if we needed anything. During the follow up appointment two weeks later, she took just as much time to ask us about our experience and answer all the questions we had. She also took time to geek out with us over science and research stuff, which was super cool. The amount of relief I felt (and continue to feel) has been amazing. She is competent and patient and kind, and going through this somewhat traumatic experience was made just a little less difficult by Dr. Coleman! read more

Excellent doctor! ! ! I wish Yelp had 6 stars option. I took my 3 month old in to have an evaluation for lip and tongue ties. Dr Coleman assessed the baby and did the surgery that same day. The surgery is done with lasers and took about 5 minutes. I was able to stay with the baby during the whole procedure. The nurse gave me safety glasses. The office has a lactation room for me to cuddle and nurse baby right after. I was never rushed. Dr Coleman gave us her cell phone number and encouraged us to fall of we had questions. Wonderful bedside manner for baby and parents! Dr Coleman answered all of our questions and has a knowelagable, friendly manner. Office isn't large, but it is clean and bright inconveniently located. Parking was confusing because of the one way streets, but once we figured it out there was plenty of room to park. I called her office for a follow-up help and got a response right away.
