This is a small town local theater and you can't tell me otherwise. Yes Regal may be a chain but this theater does a lot for families. In a world where every new animated movie is rated PG or higher(or should be) this theater constantly shows older G rated movies at a reasonable price. They do lots of events in the Summer for kids movies as well and on Tuesdays. The only chain feel to this theater is the price of concessions but if you know anything about theaters you know they don't make hardly any money on movie tickets all their money comes from concessions and I for one am happy to pay a premium to keep this theater in business. read more

My friends and I saw Hamnet yesterday and the pre-show garbage, commercials, trailers, etc, was enough to blow my ears out. I wear hearing aids and I had to take them off and it was STILL TOO LOUD. We just went to a movie here today for the first time and didn't experience any negatives that other reviews have mentioned. Parking was easy with lots of open spaces. The entire facility (including auditorium and bathrooms) was very clean so nothing ick about those areas. Seats in the theater were basic but still very comfortable; they didn't both my back or legs at all, which is usually not the case for me with theater seats. I found the popcorn to be much better than the theater in Silverdale - everyone enjoyed it. Prices were on par with just about every theater anywhere else. All staff members we came across were friendly. Overall, zero complaints and we'll definitely be coming here now to see new movies instead of driving to Silverdale. Not sure what all the fuss is about in other reviews. read more

This is honestly one of my favorites OG the chain theaters in this areas. They always have a wide variety of films that cross the political divide. They also have a number of art and cult films in addition to major offerings. It's pretty clean and the staff is friendly and responsive to concerns. read more

WARNING: the times on the website do not match up with the actual movie times at this theater. paid over $60 to see half of the barbie movie. it looked basically abandoned, we were the only ones at the showing. the reason for this became very clear because beyond just the website being unreliable, the staff (especially the manager) was incredibly rude and practically followed me and my grandma out of the theater yelling about them not being responsible for the movie times. there wasn't even posters up for any of the films showing, and you can't buy tickets at the front ticket window. spent the whole time wishing i had just gone to silverdale. it's a shame, because i used to enjoy coming to this theater-- i guess covid really did a number on it. take my advice and drive the extra 20 minutes to save a headache. read more

The moment my sister and I walked into this theater, we were creeped out. Not clean, there were random people just standing around and staring at the walls. The employees were weird and not inviting. Just a weird feeling all around. Once we were in our actual movie, it was so stifling hot with no airflow whatsoever-my sister literally had a panic attack and we left about 30 mins into the movie. I called the manager to the front desk for a refund. No apology, no concern for the guests, nothing. Not even eye contact. Also he was just slovenly dressed and gross. For being a small town theater, I think it was a great spot to pop in for a movie during my vacation. While the staff is mainly comprised of teens and young adults, I've dealt with much worse. They were still nice and the Manager Josh was exceptional! I thought the seats were comfy and I loved the arcade area because I'm a kid on the inside. Nice theater. Clean. Stadium seating. Good sound system, HUGE screen. A-OK, no complaints about the theater. Pretty standard highway robbery prices for refreshments and ridiculous sizes. I dumped 3/4 of the diet coke I bought for an arm and a leg. The movie was supposed to scheduled for 3:45 but included 30 $#%& MINUTES of previews, so it didn't actually start until 4:15. This is the premier movie theatre that I know of here on the peninsula. Obviously they have 10 theaters, each with ample seating and also handicap spots. They have a snack bar which I just love....it's a popcorn thing. The only gripe that I have is that you spend the first half hour watching advertisement after advertisement....when all I really came for is to watch a movie. read more

The WORST service I have ever had. Never been treated so rude. I was polite even though they were rude. I was making kind small talk, only to be ignored and cold shouldered by all three attendants, continuously. However, when a manager came out to assist us, she was very kind and helpful. We saw Brightburn tonight at the Regal. We go to a lot of movies and are just visiting this area. This Regal is one that has not been updated and it felt like I was back in the 90's. Thankfully, it was clean and they've kept the place up. The seats were they old stadium seats and you could not reserve your seat. They do offer military discount which is a plus. I like watching movies by ourselves because it's nice and quiet, but besides the chick who sold us our tickets/refreshments, I literarily didn't see another person in the whole theater the entire time we were there. This theater needs to get its priorities straight. In the last 6 months I have been extremely let down by this theater. I am sad to report that a place that I once "really REALLY liked" is now a place that I do not EVER want to return to. Every movie we have seen here in the last 6 months has had some kind of issue. It started with changing the Nachos. They use to give you hot chips with cheese sauce pumped over the top and you could add your own jalapenos. Well now you get a bag of chips and a nacho cheese dip in a plastic container, no jalapenos. Other issues include what others have been saying, movies not starting on time and with no sound, lights not going off for the movie, forgetting to open the curtains all the way, being given the wrong theater number for a movie and customers are left sitting in a dark theater while the movie you paid for is starting in another. And a big one is cancelling shows. I was among several groups of people yesterday that were turned away from a 6:30 showing of The Avengers because they decided that they would sell more tickets of a different movie. Families with kids had to explain to their children why they came all the way to the theater to see a movie and now they can't. This is completely unacceptable. I use to put up with this place because it was one of the only places to see 3D movies that is close to me. I'd rather skip the hassle and go to a place where I can enjoy the theater experience. read more

Theater was completely empty on a Friday night and it's clear why: theater we went in was still trashed, popcorn and straight up garbage under and even on seats. Undeterred we sat and waited for the film, only to find that the theater lights dim to about the same brightness as the parking lot outside. When we asked management to turn down the lights they expressed that they were as low as they could get, and were set that way "for safety," as though our desire for darkness were excessive or rude on our part. Manager gave a refund for tickets, but was generally dismissive, we will never return. We will be driving ten minutes further to the amc from now on. read more

In comparison to other, newer theaters, this is a fine place to watch a movie. There is plenty of parking around the theater so that should never be a concern. What I did find interesting is that I couldn't see the sign for the theater off Viking Way. Once inside, you can tell this is an older theater with smaller auditoriums. Seating is that older stadium style. The seats do not recline at all and the armrests do not move. Makes it a bit harder for a bigger guy. The sound was OK and the projection was good. read more

It's not the newest, fanciest or in your face "AWESOME" type of place, but it's clean, the screens are nice, the sound is good, the layout is simple and easy to understand and maybe it's just me, but I really enjoy those "lipstick" lamps on the sides of the walls. This place really isn't much of a looker. The surrounding area is mehhh, the screens aren't that large, and there are only ten (last I checked) screens. BUT - what I like about this place is that it's pretty spacious for each screen. Seating is creaky with the old-school red velvety fabric coverings, but this one of the few places where they allow enough space in the rows for people to walk in and out of the them! I rarely get my toes stepped on by small-bladdered people who can't hold it in for the duration of a film. Also, due to the location of the cinemas, not a lot of people come here, which I guess adds to the appeal of those who make it out here. For the viewing customers, there are less people in the audience to bother you during a movie. Less people = A fewer probability of (crybabies and screamers + chatty-chat-chat-chatters + distracting texters who don't know how to step away from their cellphones for two hours + kickers who just can't leave your backseat alone) = SCORE! I can actually enjoy my movie in peace without worry here. Also, if you have a active/retired military friend or family member, you can get hooked up with a military discount. $8.25 per adult ticket - non-matinee, byahhhh! read more

Dang. Why did I wait so long to go to this theatre. It's not that far from home and yet I skipped it. Why? Maybe because it's so far from the main drag and I assumed it was one of those little 10 screen, ratty, old theatres. I hate paying big bucks for a movie and then walking in to find a tiny screen and narrow, sprung seats. Hate it! So I've been going to the wrong theatres all this time. This is the theatre to go to. Nice, comfortable, wide seats that semi recline, stadium seating with some nice moveable armrests so you don't feel all squashed into your seat. If there's no one next to you, raise it up. Frankly, the seats are wide enough that you don't have to raise them to get room. Big screen, really good sound - my companion thought it was too loud but I didn't. I want to feel those explosions blow my hair back. I want to feel the sound of the bullets whizz past my face. (Can you tell I like action movies?) Yeah, it was great. The washrooms were clean, the theatre was clean and the carpets were clean-that's saying something in a movie theatre, isn't it? Great price on Tuesday matinees. I almost asked the very nice, polite girl at the window if she'd charged me correctly. She had! Love it. And it's got a lot of parking. Tons. Only thing? Maybe clean up the parking lot a little. This theater says it is stadium seating but I would disagree. It is slightly sloped and has rocker seats but if you aren't tall and the person in front of you is you won't be able to see any better than if you went to a regular theater. Another negative is there is very little leg room so sliding into a seat in the middle past others is almost impossible without stepping on them (or if you are on the end you'll get stepped on). I will stick to See Film in Bremerton or the Uptown theater in Gig Harbor next time. read more

This is used to be my favorite place to watch movies because they aren't croweded, staffs are organized and really good service. My brothers and I havebeen going here for 10 years. Recently management really sucks! At a certain time at night they would shut their ticket booths and have everyone line up at the concession stands. Last week, my brother and I bought tickets at the the very left side of the counter for tickets and then they said food is bought at the rest of the concession stands. Tonight my brother lined up at the same place he was asked to buy tickets but they said they won't be able to help him at that ticket line. They point to the concession stand. Compared to a lot of the local cinemas (Bremerton/Silverdale) this ones exterior and interior is quite new and still fresh. I've come here over a dozen or so times and have to say the experiences have been pretty good- that is until our most recent visit. We recently watched "Kick Ass" on a Saturday night- the last showing at 10:05pm. I know this is Poulsbo and usually after 830- most of the places in Kitsap county look like a desserted town- this place is no exception. The popcorn was stale, and considering there was only one other movie playing at the same time, you would think the staff would stay on top of it. The movie previews ran as normal, but right as the movie started, the screen went blank. Now usually people like to give the people up there a couple of minutes to get their act together- but 10 MINUTES yup you read right- 10 MINUTES- I had to call the movie theater from my seat to inform them that the movie had stopped. SERIOUSLY- well obviously no one was in the projector room- but really? He quickly hung up and within 1 minute the movie was back on- I surely Kicked Ass (lol pun to the movie we watched) and saved the day. Oh well... The staff was okay- but I'll save the gas and stick to Silverdale for now. read more
