Nick brought us to three breweries (Ballast Point, St. Archer's, & Mission) and at each one he would give us a little insight on the history of each brewery. Once inside, he set us up with some drinks, and even showed us around Ballast Point. HotShots also provided lunch, which was very delicious! We had chicken wings, subs, pizzas, and fries. Nick was a pretty friendly guy, and a great guide! While at each brewery, he hungout with us and played cards. He even beat us in Pusoy Dos (Filipino card game) numerous times. Pretty sure he was just hustling us though... Overall HotShots was a great experience. We got to go to 3 different breweries, drink a lot, and not have to worry about how to get to the next brewery. My friend treated she and I to the Valle de Guadalupe tour for my birthday! We showed up in San Ysidro and was greeted by the amazing "Ana" - if you go, please request her - she's so knowledgeable about the area and an absolute joy to be around all day. We walked across the border (super super easy) and met up with Alejandro (our driver). We stopped by a local taco spot followed by a trip down the coast. You get to see Rosarito and Ensenata before heading up in to the valle! We stopped at two wineries - one family owned (no one there except us) and the other was women owned - both were such a delightful, peaceful experience. The Wine? AH-MAZING!!!!!! Final stop - I won't ruin the end of the movie for you - but let's just say you won't be disappointed. Advice - you can get around with flip flops, etc. They recommend closed toe shoes but sandals (or your favorite wine tasting attire is perfect). Bring a light jacket just in case!

After the tour with Turista Libre, my feelings about Tijuana evolved from "I feel so free there" to "I love that Tijuana is for everyone." Kind service as well. Playami: Run by Border Psycho Brewing. Very kind and attentive staff that were willing to work with my malo Spanish. Great beer selection on tap and a cool indoor/outdoor area. There are also food and coffee options on site! Mexica Brewing: This small and charming brewery is owned and run by a pair of sisters that make great beer. Not far off Revolution Ave, it's worth the stop. Their honey porter is my favorite. Food options here too! Mamut Brewing: I had an amazing time chatting with one of the Brewers. All beers we tried were amazing. Their seasonal pumpkin was the best of that style I tried. Telefonica: Gastro food truck park. I had the best Pulpo (octopus) sandwich at Berracas Burger. It was not breaded and the taste was amazing. If you are nervous about visiting Tijuana, you have no reason to be with Derrick and Turista Libre. Their attention to detail and goal of really touring Mexico like a local was spot on. I will be booking this again for one of the many other adventures offered. For a great time, give this a try!

The…read morecompany charged us $150 pesos additional to our $1295 to take us to 4 wineries which it did not happened. we went to Frannes, McGlen which these wineries were in our tour. We had an incident in which one of our passengers threw up and we paid for the fee but at the end Jesus our tour guy and driver decided to charge us more money for coming back 30 minutes late which it was not our fault. They did not take us to the other two promised wineries due to being closed for events and went out to other places that made us waste more time. As we decided to leave once we paid for damages fees because we did not paid for late return Jesus called the police on us and ended up taking us to the police station because Jesus our your guy claimed we had not paid and we were drunk. This was a total lie and wrong thing to do. police $23000 pesos to let our driver go. Please don't trust this company and your Jesus as they are not trustworthy. Our friend texted Alan to informed him of what had happened and never got back to us. We were celebrating a birthday and ended up on a nightmare.
