This is something that they specialize in compared to normal transmission shops. Cindy was extremely communicative and very transparent with me the entire time my car was at GP1. They helped me understand what my options were and what all price estimates and different scenarios entailed. I eventually decided to replace my transmission entirely with a new one due to the age of the car. The whole thing took about a week, which was no problem for me. Probably a wheel bearing, but Toyota dealer's tech said "front bearing," but then master tech said "rear bearing." Tire outlet tech said "both rear bearings." -Fortunately, TL Motors has special microphones (!) that positively identified the left rear bearing as the culprit. At about $1000/bearing, you don't want to be guessing. -Yes, while they were at it, I ended up following their recommendation and having all four struts replaced. But this was not an upsell; I'd been running on original struts and they were shot. Not sure why Toyota dealer (where I'd been servicing the car) missed the disintegrating struts. The Highlander is now riding like new. -Three other pluses: 1) they show you the replaced parts as evidence they've failed, 2) they provide free Uber/Lyft shuttle service, 3) they thoroughly wash and detail the car, which is something the dealer never did.
