After seeing so many people check in to Bake Shack, I kept thinking this was just a bake shop without ever even looking at the sight or coming here. My wife came in here one day herself and told me how great it was. This is NOT just a bake shop, but a GREAT breakfast place that had fantastic pancakes, waffles, chicken and waffles and so many options of eggs dishes and sides of meat to accompany your breakfast. Bake Shack is a small family owned cafe located on US1 just south of Stirling Rd. on the West side. I have been there twice and the parking on the side of the building can get a little tricky if the place is busy, which, by the way, usually is. At least they have their own parking and plenty, not having to find a place right on the street. The highlight IS the home made baked goods without a doubt. The home made "gourmet" doughnuts drew me right to the counter, beautifully displayed where you stand in line and order and so are the other home made baked goods, like Apple Fritters, Sticky Buns and Cinnamon Buns and Quiche. They also make several baked breads in house and have a TREMENDOUS coffee and beverage selection. Well, my wife and I decided that we were definitely going to have breakfast, one of their great coffees, but also were not going to walk out of here without a doughnut, at least to split. When we approached the counter to order they were friendly, helpful, and did not rush us although there was a line behind us. I ordered two eggs over medium and turkey sausage and my wife had the California Egg Sandwich served on Challah Bread. But WAIT, there is MORE!!! Had to split a couple of their other tasty delicacies. Challah French Toast, outstanding, covered with powdered sugar. For their Gourmet Doughnut, none other than their glazed Doughnut with the Nutella filling inside. Need I say more. A place like this, we could not just have the traditional breakfast, so at least we go to share two other great "must haves". Coffee anyone? Shout out to their Pumpkin Spiced Latte, with a mound of whipped cream on top. What a cute place too. After you order at the counter, they give you a number to bring to the table to get served. Their is a self serve station in the back corner of the dining area that you can help yourself with water and get your napkins and condiments. There is also a counter to sit at and order right from where they serve all the baked goods. What a nice family too. The mother came over to the table to see how our meal was and if we needed anything else. She told us about her son who owns Bake Shack and he was sitting at the counter with his small child in his lap. Great family. Feel at home. Since Bake Shack is close to us, we have been there twice, and will easily be going back for a home made breakfast. Came here before my flight out of FLL because of its close proximity to the airport as well as the raving reviews. Cute little place, but parking is limited and if you are in a hurry, either pre-order or be prepared to wait for your order. I ordered a Dough Boy breakfast sandwich w/avocado, a triple macchiato, and a chocolate bacon donut. This came to $14 w/tax and tip, so it isn't cheap, but you are getting quality ingredients. I got my donut and macchiato within a couple of minutes, but then about 10mins in, I was like "ummm, why is a simple bfast sandwich taking so long?" So I asked the girl at the register and she assured me it was coming up soon...soon being almost 5mins later...I legit was able to finish my donut while waiting for my sandwich! My Dough Boy was delicious, but not worth a 15min wait! The thing was too, they were not even that busy, so I am not sure what the deal was or if this is the norm, in any case, I doubt I'll be back for a dough boy unless I have time to kill and a donut to nosh on while I wait. The food was good and the service was okay. I ordered their Belgian waffle, eggs, and a latte. I would have given 4 or 5 stars, but the place is just really dusty. There was dust settled on varying surfaces near where I was eating and on the vents. They really need to wipe the place down and considered changing the air filters. Went here for a different Saturday morning breakfast. Very good food. They offer breakfast and lunch items and the menu is simple but they have options for almost everyone. I went with my family so my husband got the veggie omelet which was loaded with fresh vegetables and cheese accompanied with a side of home fried potatoes and toast, my daughter got the French toast breakfast with scammers eggs and Turkey sausage which was large enough to share, and I got a Cali sandwich which was loaded with veggies on a brioche bun with egg and I added Turkey sausage. I don't like that Turkey sausage was the only option outside of any pork products but at least it was available and I didn't have to opt for no meat like some Other places. I also got a nice regular coffee which was plain but good, a sprinkle donut for my daughter which was wonderful as well as an amazing cinnamon roll that I could not resist. They have a variety of baked goods from donuts to pastries to cinnamon rolls and they are all hand made and fresh. Will definitely return!!! read more

I love this place more and more with each visit. This morning the Bake Shop was so full that I had to park in the grass with puddles. Believe me, it is totally worth the parking situation and or wait in a long line. I had a regular coffee and it was simply perfect. A smooth blend with the right amount of cream and sugar. It was so good that I wish I had another cup as I write this review. I got the special Sat/Sun only cinnamon roll and a churro doughnut to go. Both sweets were devoured by the family as soon as I got home. The tuna sandwich looked massive. It was on special for lunch. I have got to try that the next time I am in the area around lunchtime. The shack is doing a lot with a pretty small space and it does it well. It's split in two sections the bakery/to go area and the seating area is off to the right. The bakery area is a tad tight but one might not mind the space if only there for a few minutes. The seating area did seem as comfortable as you'd expect at a diner. The selection here is great. I love how they incorporate the donut bread into the breakfast sandwich! It's unique, delicious, and neat. Although I wanted to buy a donut, sadly I did not. I could not say no to the chocolate chip cookie that spoke to me from the other side of the mirror. It was above average in size and interestingly had a great flavor that morphed as you got to the center. I assume because of thickness of the cookie at the center. It was quite a treat. I will be going back for more, and definitely bringing some friends along to show my prowess for finding delicious food. I would be weary when looking for it, I almost missed it. Don't mind the parking! they so obviously focused on quality in the kitchen. That will come with time. read more

Wonderful bakery. Have been several times and it is a great spot for pre or post-flight meal as it is only a few minutes south of FLL airport. Breakfast wrap with veggies and the donuts and baked goods are always super fresh and taste homemade. The staff is very polite and welcoming and although the bakery is small, there are plenty of seats if you are dining in. Espresso is well balanced and not bitter. We went there the other day and I gotta say I wasn't that impressed. We got six donuts and the couple we got with toppings on them tasted like day old Dunkin' Donuts but the others weren't bad. Cinnabon was good and so was the blueberry scone. The coffee was also good. Better off getting it to go because the place is packed so expect to wait for a table. read more

I stopped by here earlier today with my wife for my morning coffee. The Bakeshop was written as a place to visit on the board in our hotel and so whenever it came up on Yelp we plugged it into our GPS and headed on over. The shop itself is a cute little place with a sign for order pickup pointing one way and ordering there another. While we were there a number of order pickups were completed and I have to imagine that they do quite a business that way. There was also a large display case filled with all sorts of donuts and they had some examples of their cakes nearby as well. For my coffee on this morning I was ready to order a large latte whenever I noticed that their special was an iced oatmilk horchata latte. It consisted of espresso, vanilla bean, cinnamon and oatmilk and since it sounded good, I went with that instead. It was ready within a minute or ordering which I thought was quite impressive and I had my drink and was on my way. It ended up being absolutely delicious as who doesn't love that combination of vanilla and cinnamon? The oatmilk is a bit thicker than milk and so was a nice choice here while the coffee came through just a bit. My wife enjoyed it as well and all too soon it was gone. The bottom line for me is that I would come back here again in the future. I loved the horchata latte that I had here and thought that their donuts and desserts looked enticing as well. read more

I ate a donut with it as well while we waited for food to arrive. I finished the whole meal so quickly. It was all delicious. The parking is in the back. It's a small restaurant/ shack. But, it's perfectly done up with amazing foods. The service was quick considering there was a long line. Only reason I gave it a 4 was because of limited seating. This older lady came up to me and gave me attitude because two of us sat in a four person seat. I dropped in for a quick bite and was not disappointed. It's a small and cozy spot, but it wasn't too packed when I arrived. I ordered at the counter and took my seat, waiting for my food to come out. I went with the Dough Boy - A mini cheese egg omelette w/ your choice of bacon, sausage or ham all nestled into our delicate donut bread. I added some avocado. It was delicious - and I scarfed it down. To wash it down, I got two doughnuts. Yes, I wash down my meal with dessert. I got the toasted coconut and the creme brulee. The coconut was excellent. It had just the right amount of toasted coconut and chocolate over a regular donut. The creme brullee came with a nice crunchy top, and filled with cream. It was fantastic. They also have coffee, but I skipped it since I was headed to a coffee shop after this, but next time I'm in I wouldn't mind getting a cup of joe with my donut(s). Overall this was a great spot to get a quick bite, satisfy my sweet tooth, or pick up some treats for a meeting. On top of the egg sandwiches and donuts they also have muffins, cakes, honey buns, brownies and other baked goods. I think they are all made in house, and all looked delightful. When I came by on a Saturday late morning, early afternoon, there wasn't too much of a line, was able to find a spot at a table. The first thought you have when you first walk in the door is "Holy fuck on a stick! What donut(s) do I order?" Being that I've been able to put mind in front of stomach enough in my "older" age, I was able to get away with ordering two donuts with an iced coffee. One of these glorious donuts was their chocolate bacon donut. How can you go wrong with chocolate or bacon? If someone can, then I don't want to know you, you don't deserve to know the glory of glories that is chocolate. and bacon. On a donut. Chew on that. It's delicious. So if you're lucky to live in Central/Southern Broward, now is the time to check out Bake Shack and see if they can tantalize your donut senses the way they tantalized MY donut senses. If you live in Northern Broward, guess what? I have heard good things about Bake Shack and was in the area and figured I'd stop in for a quick bit coffee and bite to eat. It's a very cute cozy spot. Not great for large groups but was perfect for a the solo Sunday stroll in for one. I walked in and was greeted by a beautiful display of colorful donuts in the window. I resisted the urge to take any home since I was already practically eating dessert for breakfast, Nutella Stuffed French Toast. It is quite yummy! Comes with a side of flavorful whipped butter and light maple syrup. Yum yum! The French toast is a little dense so you definitely don't need any sides or donuts, I'd suggest taking them to go for snacks later on. Overall, really good! Great casual dining with delicious baked goods, coffee and breakfast! I was with my wife and father-in-law attending the Senior Olympic events in the Fort Lauderdale area. We found this place on Google and I am delighted we gave it a try. My wife had the California Egg Sandwich, I tried the Shack Slam and my father-in-law got the Egg Shack (Omlette). We were all happy with our choices. My wife ate half of my blueberry pancakes. They were delicious. I tried their specialty Mexican coffee and it was so creamy, flavorful and hot. We also got an Apple Fritter since you can't go there without trying one of their sweet pastries and donuts. The dining area is small so you may need to wait during busy hours. A tiny little building with fantastic bakery items! Went on a Sunday around 11:30 and it was constant traffic. We Ordered the egg sandwich (which was just ok) and the egg and bacon wrap which was really tasty. The problem was that they came out at two different times and so we had to eat separately to make sure our food didn't get cold. And when I say separately I mean almost 10 min apart! Not good. We also each got a donut and they were probably the best donuts we have had in years! There are about 8 tables inside the building, it's a pretty small place so they are all pretty close together. Where do I start? Warm water to drink. Orange juice was literally all pulp. Bacon seemed so chewy it was like chewing on beef jerky. Waffle was so dry, even putting all the syrup they gave me on it, it soaked it up so fast it didn't look like I put any on. We couldn't get but a couple bites in and just left. It was that bad. I don't usually leave reviews, but this by far, was the worst breakfast my husband and I have ever experienced. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. Now, the employees seemed pretty nice, if I had to give one positive. That's it. Oh and the icing on the cake, the parking lot is all gravel, and I am now sitting at a dealership waiting on my tires to get patched because they found three nails in them, coincidentally just after having breakfast at this establishment yesterday. Our favorite is the dough boy sandwich with turkey sausage and avocado, and you can never go wrong with a half dozen donuts! My husband also loves bacon the doughboy because they mix it in with the egg and cheese. So. Good. We tend to go earlier in the morning before it gets busy. We sat in the bar and the young lady told us when we were ready to order, to come by the register. We looked over the menu and decided on the items mentioned above. We ordered the chicken and waffles and the egg sandwich. The donut was the honey glazed with nuts, it was delicious, not super sweet. The guava and cheese pastry was not the typical Spanish pastry, both were mixed into a cream. The chicken and waffles were good, fresh. The maple syrup comes with pepper flakes, nice touch. The egg sandwich looked good. I did not taste it. My sister said it needed some salt. There is an option to add cheese or bacon, I did not order it.
